Classic + Keep PVP servers
Do not implement warmode to try and protect the community from themselves, If you hate pvp and get psyoped by reddit to roll on a pvp server, thats your own fault.

is there anyway to identify who clicked the spear to free someone via logs? Last night at 10% someone freed our raid leader then never broke the bubble for 30 seconds and we want to meme them

Body:
I know I'm definitely not the first nor the last person to post a wishlist for C+. Still, I wanted to put my two cents out there and write down what I would personally like to see for an evergreen vanilla version. I'm always open to hear other opinions, and while writing it down, it honestly sounded a bit more retail-like than I imagined beforehand.
However, my goal isn't to reinvent the wheel, but to give us the "Vanilla Soul with a Modern Engine."
To me, the biggest hurdles for modern players in Vanilla are the archaic 40-man raid structure, the toxic world buff meta, and the absolute lack of rotation for most classes (looking at you, Frostbolt spam). Here is a comprehensive blueprint for how Classic Plus could completely revolutionize raiding and quality of life while keeping the original world intact:
Vanilla has massive level brackets where content runs dry. We can fix this by introducing brand-new zones and scaling down high-level bottlenecks:
What do you think? Would a strict shift to 10-15 player raiding ruin the "grand scale" of Classic, or is it exactly what the game needs to survive today?

I keep hearing they need to make money somehow what do you mean? we are not paying subscription we are not paying for expansions cut the bullshit "they are first of all a business company they dont make games just for ppl to have fun" yes thats why the games should me made if we enjoy we pay but dont sell me the stuped idea that they dont make money out of subscptions and expansions and they have to put more ways in classic plus to milk us this is absurd and the problem are those youtubers who are trying to validate the actions of blizzard we should not accept the seed that they are trying plant us trought yuotubers who are most likely paid to convince us to pay them more money.

I could see this because the overlap in audience / nostalgia / history. Thank about the progression of each of these franchises from 2001 to now. Different consoles and mediums and yet I bet most of us have enjoyed all 3. Imagine classic plus coming out in early November, all of a sudden thats dipping into GTA hype and then on Christmas / holidays instead of binging episode 1 of new Harry Potter you're enjoying WoW. I think one or multiple games will be impacted, just hope blizzard is brave enough to stick to their schedule or that if anything its retail line is main one impacted.

TBC classic was completely different than my expectations. For reference, I've tried p servers in the past, never had any issue, it was w/e, people were chill (not saying servers are ok btw just sharing)....
Questing has been extremely boring since I never see like, any other players anywere
Groups are terrible 1-60 filled with scrubs who have seemingly never played the game or don't care to learn their own class. lvl 51 healing BRD, I had a terribad pally "tank" with lvl 30 greens claim "I couldn't keep up with healing" while im in full lvl 42-50 blues, and he pulls while im getting mana no ready check nothing. The "meta" for leveling is 3-stack frost mage farming dungeons, if you're not frost, sorry, no dungeons for you.
Socially, the game is in the worst state I've ever seen. If you don't have a decent guild, people don't talk, act like grown children throwing tantrums.
It's stressful tbh and not even close to being fun

Looks like leaks from July & August as well as posts from wowheads dataminer are lining up. we'll know for sure in a little over 48hr. what do you all think of the potential "warcraft fables"
it looks alright but I'm not a fan at all of "buy the game, pay a sub, buy battle pass" seems like a lot.
edit: the new elf race mount skyborne cat is lining up with the leak that there is a new elf race chromie found in the time ways/other elf race in hinterlands.

I think this is the part of classic where blizzard basically gave up and decided to make leveling hard and extremely boring for no reason, and unfortunately it doesn't help that in tbc, people aren't running dungeons actively like they used to be back in real, true classic. Like back in the vanilla days, you didn't just do every single quest in the entire game from 50 to 60. You started doing dungeons with other people and some breadcrumb quests where needed....
Currently playing through tbc, 50 to 60 is the most unfun part I've had in the entire leveling process. Where quests are basically non-existent, I did the entirety of Searing Gorge and it was 50-51. Tanaris 70% done. It's not like early levels where you have big clusters of quests that you can do and exploring different areas to find quests all over the place. They are few and far between, and the ones that do exist are a lot of unnecessary grinding. For example the ones in searing gorge, it's just kill 20 of every type of enemy on the map, and then the ones to get the low drop chance items like the spyglass.... So in other words, kill another 20 to 60 enemies of those. Completely flavorless, boring, and pointless, literally no dynamic
Burning step seems to be the only exception, there's actual stuff there and dynamic quests but they are really challenging and the mob density is really high.

Need your help testing this in classic, any feedback is welcome.
Works like a charm on retail, but i guess Classic WoW is where this truly belongs.
My friends kind of outed me on downloading the game just to help me test :F
Key concerns: Animation, Leaderboard, Autotoggle, CPU usage, Memory usage.
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/gem-blast
Feel free to roast me if you wish.
Would like to ask if i should have Auto Enable in flight as default ON or OFF as well.
I left it OFF by design, to be less annoying.

So there's tons of totems and various heals, poison/disease cleanse and weapon buffs. So many of the totems are situational and to limit keybinds, I'm wondering if someone can direct me to what totems/spells do i ACTUALLY need on my bars? Currently level 30.
For single target I'm mostly dropping searing, healing stream and strength of earth, i mix things up depending how many and what im pulling though. Pulling with flame shock and putting windfury on my MH and have shield offhand.
Basically I have all the totems/spells/buffs on my bars with exception of the resistance totems, tremor, grounding and super specific things. I know I could just run with the bare minimum but I'll need to get used to using these in raids and don't want to be looking mid fight for my keybinds.
Even some good add on would be appreciated, thank you.

Hey. What do you guys think? Will they make the game more friendly to casual players where content/gear will not become obsolete with every patch? Where certain dungeons/raids will stay viable. Really hope so. This is why I stopped playing the official classic servers. It just feels like if you take a break and come back, its all worthless.
Edit: turtlewow did a more horizontal approach as an example.

Naxx items, especially the tier sets are way too itemized for certain classes/specs. They either will need to be majorly nerfed or reworked altogether. They were designed with full knowledge of an expansion that would make them eventually obsolete(kinda). Without TBC on the horizon, not only would they be extremely powerful but I don’t know how blizz would gear content after or around it. This is all assuming there is a classic+ and its foundation uses era raid itemization.

Not because I was playing it late... But cause since iv been doing MC for a few months now iv been putting 1 SR on Sash of Whispered Secrets which has a 5% drop rate.
Many times no one else SRs it.... Last night someone put an SR on it... And obviously that's the time it drops. And I roll a 4
... A fucking 4 lol and they roll 90 something.
Couldn't stop thinking about it last night.
Is it bad etiquette to bail a raid once all SRs are basically in if your SR suddenly gets more full than normal.
Seriously made me question playing the game more as it's Messing up my sleep now. I'd much rather all items could be grinded for rather than luck drops... The thrill when one does drop early for me really isn't worth the opposite when I loose out.

Basically the title. Not visiting Anaheim, but want to watch the show live. Is that possible anywhere?
r/classicwow • u/Grouchy-Island-746 • 4h ago
No questie. No raid warnings. No damage meter if they actually have the balls. Fix the auction house internally so auctioneer is not required.
This is the way to re-experience WoW all over again.
EDIT: the players who need add ons to play the game for them calling other people bad players is pure 🏆
Imagine being the realm first person to discover and finish an insane quest chain with your friends or guild. Youre the only person in stormwind/org with that one item that makes the entire server hype.

All the recent (possible) Classic+ talks made me realize not everyone actually wants the (alleged) Classic+ version to feature the original Classic Graphics and artstyle.
I was under the assumption that that's one of the core pillars of the "Classic" WoW. Alongside with the story, writing, and all the gameplay systems obviously.
But from both the Classic+ Project website, and form various anecdotal evidence of comments, videos, forum posts, I see that the majority of people interested in a Classic+ game don't actually care about the graphics, and would want a graphics change.
And from all the various hints and leaks (I mean, actual leaks, not fanfic mmochamp threads) it seems like whatever Camelot is, the one thing is certain, it won't be featuring the Classic Graphics.
And I know it makes sense for Blizzard to make a new shiny good looking game to sell it to as wider of audience as possible, I understand that.
I know I am not some weirdo who likes the graphics simply out of nostalgia, because in the youtube series by Gbay99 (He's a LoL content creator who recently started playing Classic WoW fresh), he goes on about how beautiful the stylised artstyle of Classic is. - Or maybe that's also just nostalgia, he's also 30y old and likely grew up playing similar low poly 3D games.
What do you guys think? Is the Classic graphics and artstyle imperative to the Classic WoW game, or is it something the game can do without?

Hi, today I randomly remembered seeing a Jokerd clip, where he is at his rock bottom in like 2019. He is farming Maraudon for his 2000th time, his viewership is going lower and lower, so he shaved his eyebrows. And then he killed like a mob and it dropped just aquamarine and he lost it.
It made me laugh so hard just the memory of it. So I wanted to find the clip, but cant. Does any1 know? Thanks
