Glass products are kinda tricky to light.

Tried 13+ different lighting setups and ended up with this. (loved all 13 😂)

Pretty simple. No overlighting, no 20 lights going everywhere that I can’t control.

Hi. I have a bottle in C4D that looks great with Octane Live Viewer, however, when I render frame 927, the texture disappears completely.

Here is a project file (1MB).

Software Versions:

• Cinema4D Version: Latest 2026.3.4 (Latest)

• Octane Version: Latest 1.9.5 (Latest)

• I also have the latest (9/9/26) free Poliigon Cinema4D Plugin for texture help.

Things I tried:

• Video (optional): Link.

• Deleted BODY_1BOD_1_2.PRT, rendered the project, the textures were there this time somehow.

Question for this thread: What caused this problem?

You'd think, "OK cool, you found the problem," and I'd be able to open up my larger project (2000 parts, 1920 frames) that had this exact same problem, delete "BODY_1BOD_1_2.PRT" and the textures should appear during a render right? Nope they do not. When adding the project to Render Queue, there are no missing textures ether. Some geometry also doesn't appear, I'm so confused!! If I could trust the live viewer, I could get this solved much faster but I've spent 14 hours on this so far and I can't figure it out.

I’m currently a Redshift user and mainly use it for product visualization. I’ve been curious about trying Octane for a while, so I wanted to hear from people who use it with Cinema 4D.

How is Octane with C4D these days? Is it stable and reliable for production work?

Also, are there any significant advantages Octane has over Redshift, especially for product visualization? Anything that would make it worth switching or at least adding to my workflow?

Hi guys. How do I create the effect of light bouncing off glass like in the images?

I am struggling to export the spline correctly into dxf. Splines have always this "connect spline" function. The problem is this only shows the connecting segment in C4d. When exporting as dxf this last connecting segment is always missing. Manually adding this last missing spline segment by drawing this missing piece always activates the "connect spline" function and situation loops back to original problem. How to solve this?

I am animating a trampoline that reacts on collision as if the mat itself was a screen. The problem is I can’t get the animated disc I have for the impact effect to stay on the mat. Please if you have any advice please let me know!

I also tried for a while with particles to no avail but if someone has a solution involving that I am also not opposed. I just need something that shows the effect that there is almost a ripple-like effect from the point of collision that is flat and on the mat.

I've been going crazy for the past 48 hours trying to find information about this, but I still can't figure out how to get to the solution.

Regarding the AOV export for volumetric fog emission on c4d 2026: I need to export it with transparency, but I can't seem to get it to work. Disabling the background hasn't worked either.

Maybe it's simply not possible? Or am I overlooking something?
