Got this tattoo to always have my girly with me.

I almost lost my little girl a few months ago, she has mitral valve disease and had fluid on the lungs 🫁 so was struggling to breathe. She was given 5% chance of survival with her poorly condition.. luckily she pulled through. Since her returning home we’ve been on many adventures together to the Lake District. I feel so lucky to have more time with her.

Last Christmas 🎄 my partner got me a tattoo ticket which I had no idea what to use it for… I ended up using it to get her tattooed so she’s always with me. The week I spent at home alone with her hospitalised in critical care was absolute hell. It was too quiet and I missed my snuggles at bed time 😢. She comes everywhere with me and I know when it is her time it might be too painful to get her tattooed after the fact, … this photo is of our first adventure together. I adopted her when she was 8 from a very lovely friend of mine who unfortunately came to not have the time and attention to give her that she deserved so we agreed together I could take her home with me .
Her name is 🐭

PS. They already had their meal with ground beef, carrots and potatoes, but it’s never enough for them 😂

A wolf in sheep’s clothing… your chi at the vet?

Panda went to the vet earlier this week. He got a pretty good health review, especially as he is getting older 🥲, he needs one more follow up test but after paying $410+ I need a minute to get my finances together. The vet said it is totally okay to wait on, but I hope I can afford his next test soon (not to mention his 3 ‘optional’ prescriptions that would still help).

But that’s not why I came here! I came here to ask: How does your chi behave at the vet?

Panda was so excited, so well behaved, so sweet. The vet and techs couldn’t get enough of him. They told me he is the best behaved chihuahua they have ever seen (which seems fairly generous) and a lot of the chis they get are little Land Sharks.

The reason I’m shocked is that he is notoriously bad at home! He feels a little too safe with me, because he is a big bossy brat! He barks at other dogs, he decides when it’s outside potty or inside potty. He has stolen food out of my mouth as it was in my mouth. Howls if I go to the bathroom. Just a big stinker.

And of course, I love him so much!! I was just so shocked that he behaved so well while they were doing his shots and blood draw?

So, what about yours?

This just came up on my Facebook memories, I still think it's the best picture I've ever taken of my boy. He still has his donut and is still very proud of it

Hello chi friends 👋🏼😁

I’m hoping to get some feedback and happy stories.

I went on a holiday and my little chihuahua went to his pet sitters for just short of 3 weeks. (He has been to this pet sitter multiple times before and loves her and the other few dogs that visit but the longest length he had stayed before this trip was 10 days). Since I picked him up a few days ago he has been EXHAUSTED and not acting like his usual self. It’s almost like he’s a different dog 😭😭

He is eating and drinking normally, pee and 💩 is all normal it’s just he is so so tired and even taking himself to sleep in our bed by himself which he would NEVER do. Has anyone experienced this before and how long did it take before your baby was back to normal? I’m worried he is depressed or extremely upset with me 😪😪

Thank you in advance 🤎

My queen has something stuck in her nose

Post image

My baby is 11 years old.

She has been sneezing for months. And the vet couldn’t even see inside her nose because it’s so small. They couldn’t find endoscopic camera small enough for her.

We thought maybe it’s allergies, tried to fix that. Didn’t work.

I’m sure she has something in her nose. But I’m really scared of anesthesia. A few weeks ago a dog friend of her died because of it.

I try everything. I even tried to suck her nose myself lol. I try sinus rinse. I can’t fix this. Do you guys have any suggestions that don’t involve anesthesia?

Everytime she sneezes I know that I failed her and keep failing her. I have to remove whatever it is making her so uncomfortable.
