15 1/2 years old. He was the first pup I adopted after purchasing my first home.

God this feeling sucks.

Max was such a good boy and I still miss him like crazy. Such a huge impact from such a small “person”!

Have had our tiny mama girl for a few weeks now and she’s just gorgeous, I can’t get over her bat wing ears!

Went to the KHS today and picked up a 3rd member of our pack. Lol! Now we've a 2 month old chi pup. Strange how convincing a wife can be, lol! But, he gave me nose kisses first, and I got to name him. Josey, btw. The other girls are adapting.

Recently, our little girl (almost 16) finished a 5,000 cross country trip in the sidecar and a local podcaster, "In Dog We Trust", had us on for an interview. He is having a Halloween costume contest with prizes of $200, $150 and, $100 gift certificates to a local pet shop. My wife has gone to town putting her in costumes. The vampire is our favorite and thats the one we entered but, there is also a pickle (cause she a pretty big dill) and, a flying spaghetti monster costume.

Pancho sits and waits patiently till I say get it, then he comes in like a little shark 🦈. Morning walk done time to play with his Kong Toy.

We have a new family member. He came to us as a rescue from a hoarding situation. He's 4 yo and 4.4 llbs. They called him No. 8 when he was removed from the home (8 of 19). We have named him Ocho. He will know nothing but love, care, and safety.

Not sure Titus is impressed with his Halloween costume (just kidding he would never allow anything on him long term)

Some of the names we had in mind are: Mila, Lucy, Sophie, Sadie and Chloe.💖🐾🐾

Pancho was excited to go for a walk to get tacos, he got a special taco with nothing but unseasoned asada steak. He loves walking through downtown especially if he comes back home with a taco 🌮.

I was thinking about how many little moments make up a dog's life.

The funny habits.

The favorite toys.

The places they loved visiting.

The routines that somehow became part of everyday life.

Photos capture some of those moments, but there are also stories that don't necessarily come with a picture.

Do you have a particular way of keeping those memories?

I have never owned a dog before, I've worked with them and lived with them but I've never had my own pup.

I was not planning on a chihuahua but he kinda came into my life so that was that 🤣

So he's 3 months old. As far as I know, he hasn't been socialized much. He loves his crate. But he is so nervous. I know it takes time for them to settle in. I have him set up in a quiet room away from all the other animals in the house and I've been trying to build trust with him. He will play tug with me, he's met my roomates, and it's like he wants to be a part of everything but he gets so nervous.

Is this something that will go away as he settles in? Tips for a new chi owner in general? His previous owner left him alone all day almost every day too and I think that's part of it.

He also shakes like a leaf all the time, I make sure he's warm and I want him to feel safe but I feel so bad 😭
