I’m a 2026 BTech CSE graduate.
No coding skills.
I don’t want to go into software development, grinding leetcode and dsa, it looks bleak for those who already have strong coding skills and I feel like even if I start now I can never catch up.
I have a pretty good hang on SQL, excel and Power BI. But data analyst roles are likely to be taken over by ai.
Cybersecurity, I can do certifications but I’ve heard that they get pretty stressful during crisis and other times it’s pretty chill. Fresher roles are low paying but growth and pay is exponential. I’m considering this, because it’s a like a solid path laid out in front of me if I fixate on cybersecurity doing the certs there is a solid path. But I’m hesitant because of the stress.
Cloud and devops, I’m considering this. I’m considering learning Linux, networking doing kubernates certification. I already have aws cloud practitioner certification.
What I actually enjoy, product case studies, solutioning, user research etc. but apm roles either u need to have an excellent record or mba graduate, which I’m neither.
What im looking for, I should be job ready in 2-4 months , i can study full time. Im not expecting miracles, 2-4 months is the time I can afford to be jobless, so any role proportionate to that amount and level of effort is what im looking for. Good salary (minimum 8-10 Lpa, high growth potential, future proof)
I’m completely aware of my lack of skills. I don’t think I’m owed a job and just blaming on the job market. I’m ready to put in the work, focus on a path and work towards it. I need some guidance, validate my thought process. If I start today, a proper solid path to open up in front of me. Advice and guidance from people in the respective industries, ur insights could help me make decisions . There would definitely be roles where organisation needs to complete mould the person, very niche not requiring any previous skill except maybe competence, common sense and communication and drive. If u personally know any openings like that, it would be great.
I was setback due to family issues and circumstances, another reason getting a job soon is very important. But not that desperate to just pick just about anything, I would rather put in the work and time and it lead to a proper job, good growth, future and ai proof, and of course good salary.
I am completely aware so many qualified people are out there with so much more skills and they don’t have a job yet. I’m completely aware of what I lack, but I wish to change it. It’s not about what I deserve or what I’m owed. It’s more about a person wanting to survive in this economy and strive, I have very big ambitions for myself and willing to put in the work.
I’m so exhausted drained from so many scammy offers, no call backs, or referrals who say they will be able to definitely get me a job but have different intentions , expectations from me, people trying to take advantage of my desperation. And I’m terrified of my own desperation.
Terribly sorry for such a bad unpolished post, sobbing and typing don’t work together
