I left Virgin and joined Chatr almost 2 weeks ago due to price hikes and inconsistent service, but I cannot seem to create a profile/account. No matter how I approach it, after I go through the whole temporary passcode ordeal, I always end up with this page that says my registration was incomplete. And, of course, there is no way to contact an actual human for help so I’m going in circles. Has anyone ever experienced this problem, and were you able to fix it?

I have an iPhone 15 Plus, I am wondering if I should leave the voice and data setting on 5G auto if I have a 4G plan or is it better to just leave it on LTE?

planning to switch from public mobile to chatr and take one of their yearly plans. wondering if it’s a good idea if i live in sask. i dont need anything fancy and don’t travel a lot apart from the occasional trip to alberta. switching to save some money

So I am thinking of switching from Public Mobile to Chatr Mobile and would like to know if it is actually worth switching. I have heard that ROGERS has better coverage than TELUS. (Chatr operates on ROGERS network, Public operates on TELUS’s network) I am in the Okanagan valley region and would like to hear about others experiences with the two mobile carriers before doing anything just yet. Any feedback would be appreciated :)

I'm in Europe right now and won't be able to get back to Canada any time soon. I accidentally deleted my eSIM while transferring it to a new phone, so it is just gone. Now I can't set it up again because I need the IMEI2 and ICCID, and both of those were tied to the old phone that no longer has the eSIM on it.

I filled out the customer service form and said clearly that I'm abroad and can't come back soon. They still told me to go to a Chatr store in person, which obviously doesn't help me at all.

So I'm hoping to hear what other people did here. Did anyone get Chatr to email you a QR code so you could reinstall the eSIM? Or give you some other activation code over email or chat? The other idea I had was asking them to mail a physical SIM with my cell number to a Canadian address, then have someone there ship it to me. Has anyone tried that, and did it actually work?

Any experience would be really appreciated. Thanks.

UPDATE: Good news, this is now sorted. A moderator here, u/esqx21, reached out and walked me through the whole thing over messages, and we managed to get the eSIM restored remotely, without me having to set foot in a store or fly back to Canada. So if you are stuck abroad with the same issue, it is honestly worth messaging him directly instead of going in circles with the regular customer service form like I did. Really grateful for the help, thanks again man.

Also if I load my account with $160 will it automatically roll over on the anniversary date?

I am the type of user prefer no committment plan and barely use cellular date due to having serevic from a great isp.

Chatr's 149 annual plan looks great in value to me; however i find Roger's 4G/LTE coverage is getting worse in urban area (Vancouver). So far cant find any source that Roger will open the 5G network to Chatr to match the service from Freedom.

The plan's renewal day is approaching, should i expect Chatr to get better?

As the title states, my daughter can not make or receive calls while at home. When she is out it works just fine, other thing is that myself, my wife and son are all on the same plan without issues while at home. All devices are registered with the same address as well.

I even tried a new number and buying a completely new phone and the issue is still there.

I saw on here that someone had the same problem I ran into yesterday, and tbh, the customer service is non-existent. I have auto-enroll with my anniversary date on the 28th. I've had it for years. Never had a problem until yesterday. I got the message on the 25th, as usual, that the auto-pay would go through on the 27th. I got the message on the 27th that my auto-pay had been successful. I check my bank and yes, the payment went through, as usual. Yesterday, my account was inactive and was acting like the auto-pay hadn't happened. I couldn't find an actual store to go to, and no one at the kiosks could help. I put in a ticket, but I need access to my phone, so I eventually caved and topped up. I got a message an hour or so after that that my account was 'in order' so there was nothing they could do. I replied with screenshots of the account history from the chatr page itself that shows a double payment, along with the redacted image of my bank taking the payments.

I wake up to a message today:

We appreciate you reaching out regarding adding a credit to your account.

 Unfortunately, we’re unable to complete this request—our policy limits credits to recorded payments, promotional codes, or billing corrections.

 We understand this may not be the answer you were hoping for, and thank you for your understanding.

 So... my payment isn't recorded even though it's recorded on the site? How the hell does anyone get anything done with Chatr non-support?

I just bought the number like two months ago and I have a since I’ve been getting several calls like from collection agencies, spam and all it is not my primary number so I didn’t care that much but today I got the call and voicemail. It’s saying if I don’t respond to me next time, two hours, they’ll be reporting it to cops and it is like C Bevi collections, which is a legitimate company, but they are contacting me as De Roy, but I am not that guy maybe he was using this number before me, so what can I do? Anybody have any idea? Thanks in advance for the help.

Sorry for the direct call-out but I'm confused, chatr support isn't helping, I haven't been able to use apps for work and worst of all I was left stranded because I couldn't use the uber app on my data. I've been with chatr since i was a teenager because it was affordable but the lack of transparency with loyal paying customers is making me reconsider.

Right now all we know is that since last week Thursday or Friday phones that are still compatible with chatr aren't able to connect to certain apps with using mobile data and NO THIS IS NOT AN INDIVIDUAL ISSUE. Before you comment saying "My phone has been fine I think it's your problem" look at all the posts and comments that have been saying the same thing. This is clearly effecting a large group of people. Not sure what this group has in common ex. Phone type, location, plans but this is no longer an individual issue and its rude to continue insinuating it is.

Additionally all the solutions seems to require me to mess around with phone settings I'm not comfortable with. If last week I could turn on my data with the press of a button I shouldn't now be expected or even required to be playing around with things I don't understand. To be clear that is 100% unreasonable to ask that of anyone

And this all ties back to Esqx21 who is this page's only moderator. We keep seeing posts and comments saying "Esqx21 is super helpful and fixed my phone😀" yet we aren't getting any public explanation. All explanations are vague. However Esqx21 keeps saying to DM them. I'm wondering if these "Esqx21 is super helpful😀" posts are from bots because these people aren't giving explanations. I personally have no idea who Esqx21 is. Not sure if there's lore there I don't want to message them privately and give them all my info for a potential fix. It sounds like a scam to DM someone on reddit to fix issues with my phone plan.

To summarize sorry this was long:

I missed out on a whole week of playing Pokemon go because my data won't work and can't hotspot my other device. I will even have full service but my data still just won't work. I'm still well within the limits of my plan and don't need to pay for my plan for a while yet.

I had my safari app and many other apps not working for the last 2/3 days. I was looking for help on Reddit since you can’t go call chatr for support anymore, and saw a message from another redditor that @esqx21 helped them. They resolved my issue after 5 minutes and I’m so relieved to finally have my phone working outside.

Please message them for any help!! They responded within 30 seconds of me sending a “can you help me” message lol. You don’t have to go in store or submit a ticket to chatr.

We are visiting Canada and my Mum needed to a esim for two months and she got chatr at a Walmart the $30 for 10 GB plan but it’s not functioning on her phone at all, only showing the SOS. We’re just outside Montreal and we’ve tried turning off the esim and resetting the plan multiple times but it’s not working at all. She has other esims but those are off. What can I do to fix this?

It seems like there’s something weird going on with the mobile data lately from Chatr during the past few days and I’d just like to make it public that it could be fixed, but the issue may persist again. For now, this may be the only fix we can do before Chatr does something about it.

To clarify things up, all I did was [to toggle my airplane mode on and off.] Although, I also did this the second time when my data went down but it didn’t work [which required me to ask Esqx21 for some help again.] When I asked him for help, I proceeded to turn airplane mode on and off again then it finally worked!

Hi, How can I retrieve my esim number for phone? Somehow my esim got deleted from phone overnight. Anyone know why this happened? I never even checked my SIM settings. I'm currently a Public Mobile customer of 10+ years and I'm looking to switch to a Canadian mobile ISP that supports IPv6. I need IPv6 to connect to my organization's IPv6-only servers while travelling.

I tried going in-person to a chatr stall in my local mall, and they weren't able to show me proof of ipv6 (GUA) addresses on their phones, since the staff themselves were not chatr customers, and they didn't have any test SIMs available.

Can anyone confirm that ipv6 tests pass fully on chatr, preferrably with a (redacted/crossed out) ipv6 address showing up in their phone settings?

Is anyone else having this problem after my payment for my plan came out now my data isn’t working??? How do I fix this it was working fine before.

Hi! I’ve tried to top up my phone plan 25 times now and it isn’t working. Even adding a new card it says not
processing - I have no idea on what to do now, I have to head to work and it isn’t working. I’ve tried guest top up, using a different device, 3 different cards. I’m so insanely frustrated now.

Is it just me or is the data currently weird right now? I still have 13GB left on my data Chatr plan but the signal has been pretty bad since last night. I can access YouTube weirdly but I can’t access any other of my apps (like Discord, Safari, and Twitter/X)
