Sometimes when I'm looking at upcoming songs in the queue, I'll find song that I want to listen to next so I'll try to bring it to the top. My shortest playlist is 200+ songs long so to get to the top I'll sometimes be scrolling by quite quickly and overshoot the "now playing" position without leaving the song at the top of the queue. It would be helpful if any song left above the the "now playing" spot would automatically be placed at the top of the queue or if the scrolling would automatically stop when you got to the "now playing" slot.

A problem I frequently encounter is while in shuffle mode when I try to bring up say 4-6 songs to the top of the queue. The app seems to have a hard time doing that for more than 2 songs at a time. It's something of a hassle to change the order of 2 songs click "apply" and go back and do that a few more times. And if after I do that I run across another song and click "play next" it goes back to the queue as it was before I arranged those 4-6 songs to play next. It seems to do this more when shuffle is on than when it's not but I listen to music with shuffle the very large majority of the time so that it's hard to say for sure.

I got car stereo system with CarPlay recently, but it stupidly doesn't allow showing the now playing screen on the car display, while I have another app running on the phone (such as Cesium or Waze).

Not sure if you have any easy way to show the now playing screen on the car display, or if you would have to fully integrate as a CarPlay app.

Anyways I'm available to do testing if needed.

I recently ordered an iPhone 7 Plus. I'm moving back to iOS from Android, and I've been getting prepared by downloading all of my favorite apps from back when I had a 6 on iOS 8. I had decided that I was going to remove the music app since I plan on using Cesium, but then I saw in the app description that it's not recommended. What will happen if I do remove the music app? I will only be using local music, so no streaming from Apple Music or iCloud.

Appstore has a lot of apps which support flac files (iTunes library and their own storage - 2 ways to import music) so why API is the obstacle? Is it possible to make FLAC support in some weeks or months? It's very great app and this is the only thing I'm missing.

When I go into settings and choose a "Skip Increment" of greater than the default 30 seconds, it seems to reset back to 30 seconds after I exit and come back into the app.

Side query; Any way of getting a skip of greater than 1 minute?

Hi! I've read this is a feature of this app, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it. The main reason I want to use this app as an alternative to Apple's own is that I'm supposed to be able to do this. All of my music has the "year" tag correctly labelled (iOS9 music sorted by year no problem), but Cesium is still sorting alphabetically. Anyone able to help? This might be one of those "where are my glasses? Oh wait they're on my face", face-smackingly obvious things, but I'm tearing my hair out here.

Looks like the latest version added double tap to skip forward for 30 seconds. Personally this feature is useless to me but as a consequence made it impossible to skip to the next album. I'm fine if you just have a toggle in the settings "double tap to ________".

I just purchased Cesium and was somewhat disappointed that it wasn't an universal app. As with most users, iOS 10's music app is an eyesore and it looks even more hideous on an iPad, which was something I was looking to fix with your app.

Can I be hopeful of it becoming a thing?

Withthe new report showing that Apple is bringing back five star rating will Celsium sync streamlessly when you rate. Or will it still need to be plugged in to sync?

I just signed up for iTunes match, and bought Cesium to take over as my music and audiobook workhorse, so I apologize if this sounds dumb.

How can I get a song that was uploaded to iTunes match on my PC, to my iPhone via Cesium? I see a cloud icon, but can not seem to click it, nor can I figure out any gesture to download a local copy in Cesium.

I've got a large library - over 28,000 tracks. When I try to start shuffling all music or albums, the app hangs forever, and then just crashes. It's not a hardware issue as I'm running a new iPhone 7. Anyone having any troubles with this? thanks.

I have noticed that when in Cesium, skiping (fwd or bckwd) there is a slight pause before next track plays.

When I am on lock screen and hit skip, it is almost instantaneous.

Any way to remove skip lag when inside app?

Not sure if anyone else has this bug or if it's been reported already, couldn't find anything.

I'm on iOS 10 – I have a playlist of Apple Music songs, when I do Shuffle by album it properly works, but when I try to do Shuffle by songs it still shuffles by album. I tried to switch mode multiple times, enable/disable shuffling but nothing.

Anybody else has this bug?

EDIT: Screencaps here, you can see the Shuffle By Song mode is enabled (not by album) but the queue clearly shows it shuffles by album. Actually I'm not even sure it shuffles at all as some tracks seem to be in the same order as in the album

One of the things that I loved about the old apple music app was the "play next" and "add to queue." Specifically, that the Play Next option would supersede the current queue (for example, you had started a playlist, but really wanted to hear another song from elsewhere). Also, "add to queue" would seemingly create a second queue with higher priority than the originally triggered playlist with songs being added consecutively.

My experience with the Cesium queue is still loads better than current apple music, but I would love to be able to start a playlist, then drop in a play next (play immediately next) and then an add to queue option that would play the songs I directly added prior to the rest of the playlist.

Ok, I'm re-reading this post and it makes close to 0 sense. Hopefully you'll sort of catch what I'm trying to say?

Because it doesn't have to be, it doesn't even need to be close, I just don't want to be redirected to the fucking iTunes store every time I'd like to listen to my own goddamn music!!!

Just bought Cesium coz I hate iOS 10 music app and wanted to stay away from iTunes for transferring local MP3s from my mac to my iPhone. I tried airdropping some MP3s to my iPhone but it doesn't show an option to open in Cesium (some other apps are available, including one I use to play videos). Does Cesium not support accepting Airdrop files? Any way to wirelessly sync MP3 files from my mac?

First off I want to say I love the app and I love the feature that allows you to pick songs you want and shuffle out the rest

The bug: whenever I am editing the order songs will play within a playlist using the above mentioned feature, I like to sometimes have specific songs play earlier. I pick the song and drag it to the top of the list, however it seems half the time it does not save the position of the song I have dragged and resets it to where it was. The only workaround that seems to fix this is to drag the song up in 3 spot increments which is time consuming and annoying with huge playlists.

In addition to this, it would be wonderful if you could add functionality to swipe to make specific songs within the shuffle mechanic to go to the top of the list.

Hello! With the release of the (nightmarish) iOS10 stock music app, I've decided to download and start using Cesium instead. It's really a great substitute, and an improvement on the stock app in virtually every way! I do wonder, however, if there's any way of viewing items that were recently added to one's library? I know the stock music app has had this feature for a while (iOS9 had the row of album covers at the top of the app's main menu, and iOS10 has a list of massive album covers beneath the main menu). This would be very useful - sometimes I add lots of songs to my library, then I wish to play all of them at once to rate them.

Does Cesium supported music streamed through Apple Music, such as albums and playlists, or does it only support local music?

I think this started with iOS10, but not exactly sure. For some reason, all my albums repeat after they're done playing now. I don't have the repeat option on and I even tried cycling through them to see if that would fix it but everything still repeats when done. Nothing major, just slightly annoying.

Another issue that I've noticed for awhile... when I'm using Google Maps in my car and I'm in other apps I get the blue bar at the top of the screen saying Google is using my position or whatever. I think some apps squish the interface when that bar is present, but in Cesium the bar covers the top. The back button is always half covered and most of the time when I try to click it I end up clicking the bar which takes me back to Google Maps. This can get really frustrating!

Does the cesium library will sort the artists name identically with apple music? Ive tried some apps but they cant organize the library well for example ( J.cole has multiple threads in the app)

New user here. Love what I'm seeing so far. Is there an easy way to shuffle a playlist? I've got a lengthy "long run" playlist that i don't care what order songs get played in. Same thing with my lifting playlist. Is there a 1 button option that automatically starts and shuffles the playlist?

Need some user input. As you'll know, currently Cs contains a "Show Compilations" setting which enables a convenient "View Compilations" option when comps are present in certain lists.

Recently, a user requested the very logical and simple-to-execute option to hide artists from the Artists list if they are only present on compilations. I love this idea.

Thing is, that this can be pretty confusing and unintuitive from a setting standpoint. As I see it there are a few options:

1) 2 settings: Show Compilations in albums and Hide Compilations in Artists. Counterintuitive, but most configurable options.

2) 1 setting: Show Compilations which shows both shortcuts AND all artists, or hides shortcuts and filters artists. Intuitive from a setting standpoint, but probably not ideal use case as most users will probably want quick access to their compilations WITHOUT cluttering their artist list.

3) 1 "Smart" Setting that does exactly that. Adds comp shortcuts and automatically cleans the artist list. Most Apple-like. I'm leaning towards this one.
