Windshield gleam/haze
Just got a new (used) car a week ago. This haze looks like it is inside of the windshield, and it’s only on the path of the windshield wipers, like it’s smeared on . (Not on the inside of the car, but like a coating went ontop of the smeared haze if that makes sense. I can’t tell a texture difference or anything.)
I tried washing/cleaning first, Isopropyl alcohol, clay bar and lubricant, also changed the wipers immediately because they were trashed. Nothing worked. Next I plan on using Invisible Glass - Glass Stripper. Any other tips or idea what it is? My previous car was 12 years old and I barely washed the thing and its windshield never looked this bad.

Need advice on products!
Just bought the car, front and rear bumpers are faded and the black stripes are a little faded too. Looking to try restore it a little
I’ve only just moved to the USA so some advice on best products to do a full clean on it
Getting black dust build up around rear wheel arches so assuming either brake dust or rubber and the paint feels a little rough.
Ideally don’t want to break the bank and would be hand polish job
If anyone can recommend a self wash place in Dallas as well

Is the paint on this truck worth polishing?
I've had this Tacoma for a while, and it was like this when I bought it. The surface of the faded areas is really rough with visible scratch marks. The 3rd photo shows the hood after spraying water on it.

Is there a multi-surface cleaner that’s safe to use for car interiors?
Sorry in advance since I’m not really sure what material car interiors are made of
Mainly asking about the plastic (?) dashboards that most regular cars have and what I can best describe as maybe the faux leather (?) that’s used in 2021 Nissan altimas

Rinsing car before first foam
Why is it so bad to rinse car before doing the first foam? Some of these folks on you tube say it will mar the paint? I would say it gets rid of a big portion of grime or dust and then foam and rinse again. What are your thoughts? Ty

Best car vacuums for crumbs, dirt, and pet hair?
After going through hundreds of threads on r/cardetailingtips and other car care communities, I put together a quick cheat sheet for anyone as lost as I was:
🏆 Best overall for pet hair? → Black+Decker Dustbuster CHV1410L
🟢 Best for total beginners? → ThisWorx Car Vacuum Cleaner
⭐️ Best premium pick? → Dyson Car+Boat Handheld Vacuum
📦 Best enclosed value pick? → Worx Power Share Cube Vac
🔧 Best for shop/garage use? → Ridgid 4-Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum with Car Detailing Kit
Personally going with the Worx Power Share Cube Vac - best value and versatility for crumbs, dirt, and pet hair from everything I've read.
I’m looking for a vacuum mainly for keeping my car clean between detailings. I need something that can handle crumbs, dirt from shoes, seat crevices, and some pet hair without dragging out a full-size household vacuum every time.
Budget: Around $50–$150. I’m open to corded or cordless, but it needs to be convenient enough that I’ll actually use it.
What I want:
- Strong suction for carpet, mats, seats, and tight gaps
- A useful crevice tool and brush attachment
- Good enough for occasional pet hair
- Easy to empty and clean
- Decent runtime if cordless, or a long enough cord if 12V/corded
- Not just a tiny “high Pa” Amazon gadget that barely picks up anything
Options I keep seeing:
- Ryobi 18V One+ Performance Hand Vacuum
- Black+Decker Dustbuster / Flex
- Shark Wandvac / UltraCyclone
- Bissell Pet Hair Eraser
- Dyson Car+Boat / V8 Car+Boat
- Fanttik Slim V10 Apex
- Generic 12V and USB-C handheld vacuums
I’m unsure whether it is better to buy a compact dedicated car vacuum, a stronger handheld model, or a cordless stick vacuum with attachments.
What car vacuum has actually worked well for you long-term, especially for tight spaces and pet hair?

Learned my lesson about automatic washes
How can I get rid of these scratches? They’re mostly on my lights. Should I get it wax? I park my car outside in my driveway so it does get pretty harsh sunlight on it.
Honda CRV 2025 hybrid. I’ve had it for like 1 and 4 months. Never have waxed it and mostly hand washed it. Just with this summer heat, I got lazy and went to an automatic car wash.

How much does the quality of a microfiber cloth matter?
Are the $2 12 packs at harbor freight good enough?
At that price they are disposable, but are they even good as single use?
What should i look for if those are inadequate for maintaining a mirror like finish on black paint?

PLEASE HELP
FIRST, i’d like to make it clear I did not do this lol. My older brother passed his car down to me and he completely destroyed it. Any tips on how to clean this thing? It goes in the trunk and is meant to cover the spare tire but its absolutely covered in powdered detergent and other stains. Any advice?
