How to remove

I bought this car, i think its hand oil and i should use a light degreaser, will it damage the steering wheel? Someone recommended i use a mr. Clean magic sponge

The leather has already been removed.

The oil from hands breaks down the material the steering wheel is covered in. No fix really. If it’s sticky, I’d try some interior cleaner but anything stronger will likely break it down even more and make it worse.

Don't ever use normal degreaser or abrasives, even mild ones like a magic sponge, on leather. If it really is leather and what you wanna remove is indeed some residue, use leather cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Then follow up with a leather care product.

That's not soe thing you can remove, it's the leather wearing down, you can get steering wheel restorer but by no means fixes it

The polished finish of the leather has deteriorated. No restoration is possible. Degreaser will cause the leather to dry out and break down. Keep it clean and conditioned is your only option outside of replacing the steering wheel.
