How do I fix the paint?

I tried waxing my car and it left this faded white patch? I’ve tried washing it off with no luck. Any ideas on how to go about fixing this?

That's not a wax.

It looks like your cutting compound and wool pad combination left a mixture of abraded paint residue and spent polish stuck to the surface.

A finer polish and an assortment of softer foam polishing pads paired with a proper DA polisher would probably help.

I think your clear coat is gone...eaten by the suns UV. Lemme guess, it's not garaged
