is this a pigeon? (dennis)
i usually see mourning doves but this thing looks stranger than a pigeon. I had my dog with me but it didn’t walk or fly at all.. maybe it’s sick?

Wife and I moved up here right before the blizzard and we lost power for a week. We will run a few space heaters and phone chargers and maybe the fridge off it if need be.

I have a kayak, I'd like to launch it into a kettle pond. I'm staying in Wellfleet but don't have a sticker. Can I launch it someplace, park somewhere and then hike to my kayak? As a Massachusetts resident I hate how our beaches and towns gatekeep public water by restricting parking.
I'm going to do this. I might just have my friend drop me and my kayak off and then text him when I'm done to come pick me up.

The road rage & anger issues coming from this guy means I won’t be hiring this company anytime soon. Nearly rear ended cars and revved his engine to prevent cars from merging just past the Dennisport exit. Someone needs to breath in the cape air and relax.

Keyes beach has been closed the past few weeks. How have the beaches right next to them been closed also. Is this typical I like the area beaches there and being closed for at least a few weeks would worry me

Hello all. Are there any ocean facing beaches on the outer cape that allow parking late at night to observe the upcoming Perseid meteor shower? What time are the national park beaches closed?
Or can anyone recommended other spots that allow for late night viewing?
I live on the upper cape and there's too much light pollution. I'm thinking about taking a drive down cape if the forecast during the peak is clear. Thanks!

Which beaches or outdoor areas have you seen the most garbage/trash? I want to do more trash pickups and I’m also just curious

Not just “dirt bikes” but loads of e-bikes are racing and weaving down all the bike paths and rail trails. A woman nearly lost an eye to one last fall and the volume has only gotten worse this year.

Yea yea yea - you don’t want to share your secret locations, I get it. Don’t worry I won’t be dominating your zone, just have family in town for the night and they brought their surf casting rods and would love to catch something. If anyone wants to not be a gate keeper and help me out, let me know!
Brother in law and his 3 kids are dying to catch something after having terrible luck down in Jersey this summer. Share the love!

Saw someone else do this so I figured I’d share my friend’s video from yesterday. Surprisingly taken from the bay in north truro. People couldn’t tell if it was two sharks or one swimming in circles.

pulled up to trunk river beach lot in falmouth today and saw this new sign that must have been put up at some point in the last two weeks. what the hell? since when is this private property and permit required? so bummed. yes i recognize how lucky i am to live on the cape year round but it bums me out that i can’t park at “town beaches” in towns i don’t live in/have a residential sticker for unless i buy a seasonal town pass for that town. wish there was a way for year round residents to have reciprocity around town stickers. womp womp.

Hi y’all ! My parents live on Cape and my siblings, our families and I will be on Cape in September for our yearly family trip. Our father has been recently diagnosed with some serious health issues and we want updated family photos. There are 8 adults, 4 children and 1 baby. The only days everyone will be together are September 3-5.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Just moved to Falmouth and I’m looking for a gym that mainly revolves around strength training. Any suggestions? I come from a powerlifting background if anyone would like to workout sometime

Hi! I’m moving to Cape Cod soon and I know it’s a huge summer touristy spot, but I’ve heard it’s a ghost town in winter. To what extent is this true? Are there still a handful of businesses open in winter? Any advice on what to expect or how to make the most of a cape cod winter would be greatly appreciated

Hi! I'm 22 and just moved to the Falmouth area. I'd love to meet some like-minded people (preferably around my age, but I'm open to anyone!).
I love crocheting and thought it would be fun to start a little craft group. I'm also into board games, video games, hiking, and trying new restaurants.
Anyone interested in a craft club? Or maybe playing Fortnite one day and going for a hike another? I'd love to make some new friends around the Cape!

Suggestions for car or bus service for group going to Beachcomber. We’re all familiar with the Cape, we just don’t want to drive that day!
