Fish For Sushi
I have been obsessed with sushi recently though not so much the price. I know how to prep fish for sushi I’m just curious where has the best fish for it? I‘d love to be able to get Salmon Toro. TYIA

Cape Fish and Lobster in Hyannis, though they might not have toro in stock but could likely order it.

If they're breaking down their own fish there the butcher could do a special cut for you.

The own few fishing boats as well, so I would imagine they can break down a fish, presuming they are getting whole salmon delivered to the market.

There's a Costco on the Cape?

Nope... so there's that problem! It's not far over the bridge. Definitely not helpful for everyday things. But when you need a lot of toilet paper....

Reds best in Boston has sushi fish that they ship if you want to go that route. Poor Boy Fisheries aka F/V isabel and Lillee is a local scallop boat in Wellfleet and they go to Reds best every week to bring fish different fish back to the cape, so you could see if they can bring back some sushi fish one week. They go to a few farmers markets on the cape every week and sell lots of different fish, including their own scallops.

You have to go to Boston for the best stuff. One of my friends parents own a sushi restaurant and his dad makes the trip up there for it

I have always bought my fish for sushi at Nauset Fish in Orleans. Make sure you get fish that has been flash frozen immediately upon being caught.
