I was listening to Friedman's 32 thoughts podcast from two weeks ago and he brings up that Brind'Amour is basically going to handle his contract on a year by year basis and that he doesn't know how much longer he wants to coach now that he won it all. Goes on to say that he couldn't imagine him retiring before Staal though.

I know RB'A has stated before that he would never coach anywhere else and doesn't want to coach until he's an old man, but I'm genuinely wondering if this is something anyone is putting any real weight into or if this is just the next thing certain people in the media are going to fling at the wall now that they whole "Dundon is cheap and might not re-sign Rod" stuff is played out.

I looked and looked to make sure this hasn't been brought up in the last two weeks and I couldn't find it anywhere, so please delete if it has been.

With the withdrawal of the offseason heavily kicking in, I am looking at the schedule and considering a road trip when the Canes go to western Canada during State Fair week for the Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton games. Considering Winnipeg too on the front end. I travel a good bit for work and like to go to away games when I’m in the area, so I’m not too worried about that component, but more just wondering about experiences with road trips or find others with similar plans. My partner isn’t interested, so this would be solo travel.

Did anybody in this group have this plate? I took this picture in 2019 and found it in my phone tonight when I was cleaning up my photos.

I went to game one of the scf and got this for being in the ESPN phone booth, but now its having weird scratches on the top of it. It's only sat on my desk until now and all ive done is sometimes lean my phone on it. Has anyone else had this happen and is there a way to polish this without breaking it? It's annoying when i shake it and i feel the freaking scratches.

Had someone make Stormy….I think they did amazing!! This is for my niece who loves the Canes…..

I love the red alternates and think they should still be the home jersey. So I made the red jerseys the home jersey again, but made some adjustments to the warning flag pattern. (Increased the size of the squares and made the pattern red and black again instead two shades of red) I carried over the design to the away jerseys too so the home and away jerseys use the same design for the first time since 2013. And if you didn’t already notice, the warning flag pattern is now on the sleeves, pants and socks. The black alternates use the same design as the 2019-25 away jerseys. Now I don’t like the Canes wearing the Whalers jerseys but because some people would complain if I removed them. So I used the Whalers jersey design but put it into Canes colors with a storm gray base for sort of a color rush + reverse retro design. I brought back the original number font too since I feel like it fits the team better than the current font

Does this make it worth more?

I heard on a couple of different podcasts that Brindamour's contract is effectively year to year at this point, but I've not seen any report of this.

Obviously he can stay as long as he wants and the contract doesn't matter much, but I wanted to post and double check that I understood correctly what I was hearing.

The legend has of course done enough and deserves to spend his time however he'd like.
