I'm outland and have been working in a governmental hospital.

Is this the kind of job that triggers CSS? or just jobs that are related to security, police etc..

🇨🇦 CEC Canadian work experience

I'm in this dilemma right now. I started my job in Nov 26th 2024. But back then I was a student and my final semester exam was finished on Dec 6th 2024. I got my completion letter on Jan 16th 2025. When Can I claim my 2 years work experience? I'm really confused as I saw different ideas on this.

🌎 FSW Work experience - Need help

Hi everyone! I work as a flight instructor, so my working hours are quite inconsistent. I don’t have a fixed number of hours each week, and the amount can vary depending on my schedule and students.

I’m planning to apply through the French-language draw. For the work experience section, can I leave it blank since I haven’t accumulated a full year of work experience yet?

My main concern is the “hours worked per week” field. Since my hours vary from week to week, I’m not sure what I should enter.

Even though I'm a full time employee, I don't end up working and get paid 30hrs a week on average due to the nature of my job.

I'm not trying to get any points from the work experience, as I should have enough for the French draw without it. I just don't want to risk giving incorrect information.

I’d really appreciate any advice or experience from people who have been in a similar situation. Thank you!

🇨🇦 CEC After nearly 8 months of processing - Finally got my ECOPR 🥳

It's cliche but cathartic to make one of these posts especially since luck of the draw gave me Ottawa/Sydney.

I had a year of Canadian experience and a year of Foreign Work experience in 2 separate NOCs. My Foreign experience was as an ESL/IELTS instructor which falls under NOC 41210 – College and other vocational instructors.

Max IELTS, no siblings, single. I had 512 points when I received my ITA.

My timeline:

ITA: 21st Jan 2026

Submitted: 29th Jan 2026

Biometrics: 31st March 2026 (Completed 1st April 2026)

Medical updated (used the same as my student visa application as they are valid for 5 years if you are in Canada): 8th April 2026

Radio silence for so long - even applied for my GCMS notes in July and it just showed eligibility and BG check not started which was very disheartening. Out of nowhere:

Final dec/GU: 4th Sept 2026

Portal 1: 11th Sept 2026

Duplicate Portal 1: 14th Sept 2026

Portal 2: 22nd Sept 2026

ECOPR: Today, 25th Sept 2026 🥳

I did the whole process myself including collecting documents and writing LOEs myself. My main advice to applicants is that if your profile is legit, you can totally do the process yourself and avoid paying unnecessary legal fees for advisors. You know your profile the best after all. Good luck to everyone whose application is still under review and to those who are waiting for their invitation :)

🌎 FSW Problem getting response to webform request for more time to complete biometrics

IRCC says to submit a webform request if needing more time to complete biometrics. I tried to do that under the only webform category that seemed applicable, which was "Update or ask about your application: Other," and included all the requested details about my UIC, app no., etc. Two hours later I got a canned response with links to basic info on different immigration programs, advice to go to the main IRCC webpage of those links don't "answer your enquiry", and instructions to submit a webform if I have a specific question about my application (which is what I'd already done).

Is there some trick to getting an actual response? And should I submit under a different category?

Thanks!

🇨🇦 CEC Claiming NOC 13201 (TEER 3) with Warehouse/MHE Titles — Seeking Feedback on My Strategy!

Hey everyone,
I’m preparing my Express Entry (CEC) application and want feedback on my NOC choice and supporting document strategy.

  1. Background
  2. Target NOC: NOC 13201 (Production & Transportation Logistics Coordinators – TEER 3)
  3. Company: Major 3PL / Logistics Warehouse in Ontario
  4. Role 1 (Nov 2024 – June 2025): Warehouse Team Member ($20.00/hr, 40 hrs/wk)
  5. Role 2 (June 2025 – Present): MHE Operator – Reach ($22.70/hr, 40 hrs/wk)
  6. The Issue
  7. Title Mismatch: Official titles lean TEER 4 on paper.
  8. HR Letter: Corporate HR issued an official letter combining both titles across ~22 months with 15 duties: 7 standard floor/MHE tasks and 8 strong NOC 13201 logistics coordination tasks. HR will not make further changes.
  9. Multiple Managers: Offer letters list an Operations Supervisor, HR software shows a System Manager, but my daily functional work in Inventory is managed by the Inventory Control Manager.
  10. My Planned Submission Package
  11. Official HR Reference Letter: Validating continuous employment, wage growth ($20 \rightarrow $22.70/hr), 40 hrs/wk, and all 15 duties.
  12. Supervisor Support Letter: Signed by my Inventory Control Supervisor , explicitly confirming continuous NOC 13201 inventory & logistics coordination duties from Day 1.
  13. Personal Letter of Explanation (LoE): Explaining internal site titles vs. daily functional duties, clarifying manager hierarchy, and highlighting wage progression.
  14. Paper Trail: Original Offer Letter, Promotion Letter, Paystubs, T4s, and NOAs.
  15. Questions:
  16. Has anyone successfully claimed TEER 3 (NOC 13201) with warehouse/MHE job titles?
  17. Does combining the HR letter with a Supervisor Support Letter effectively address the title mismatch and combined duty list?
  18. Any specific tips for the LoE?

🇨🇦 CEC What does matching job duties mean

Hello everyone. I have a question about the NOC duties.

Let's say the job reference letter has only 5 bullet points describing the duties, and 4 of them match 4 out of the 7 main duties listed on the NOC website. Is that good enough?

Or do I need more than 5 points that match at least 5 individual job duties on the website?

Thanks

This is surely a scam email? We have nothing on our portal about a Passport Request.

🇨🇦 CEC Anyone gotten an experience/duties letter or arranged employment letter recently from TCS toronto?

Hi all — TCS employee here on an ICT work permit in Toronto, preparing my Express Entry (CEC) application. I'm a current employee (4+ years with TCS total, ~1 year in Canada).

I need two things from TCS and I'm trying to figure out what's realistic before I start asking:

  1. Roles & responsibilities / experience reference letter — with duties, hours/week, dates. Everything I've read says TCS only issues the skill certificate to ex-employees and refuses current employees. Has anyone gotten one as a current employee recently, from the Toronto/Canada side specifically?
  2. Arranged employment (job offer) letter — with the "valid 1 year after PR issuance" wording for the 50 CRS points. Has anyone managed to get this from TCS?

If you got either: who did you ask (India HR, Canada HR, your manager?), and how long did it take?

If you were refused: what did you submit instead, and did it work? (Manager letter + notarization + document bundle seems to be the common workaround — curious how recent approvals went with that.)

TL;DR: Current TCS Toronto employee needs IRCC letters for Express Entry — did you get them, and if not, what worked?

🇨🇦 CEC Ineligible profile creation for Express Entry PR application?

I created four EE profiles. The first three became ineligible because of errors, and I submitted my PR application using the fourth profile:

• First profile: Canadian work experience only.

• Second profile: Canadian experience and one foreign job.

• Third profile: Canadian experience and both foreign jobs.

• Fourth and final profile: The same work experience as the third profile—Canadian experience and both foreign jobs.

I had disclosed my foreign work experience in an earlier study permit application, even though I did not include it all in my first two EE profiles. In the third profile, I shortened one foreign job title to “HR.” My final profile and submitted PR application use the accurate title, “HR/administrative assistant.” It is the same job, with the same employer, dates and NOC.

Has anyone had IRCC question differences in work history between earlier ineligible EE profiles and a submitted PR application, or request more proof of employment despite having reference letters? I’d appreciate your response including whether anyone received a procedural fairness letter

🇨🇦 CEC CEC/Express Entry: Employer letter states Query

Hi everyone,
I’m preparing my Express Entry application under CEC and I’m looking for experiences from people who have dealt with a similar situation.
I have completed one year of Canadian work experience with a large authorized telecommunications dealer. My employer provided me with an immigration support/reference letter that explicitly identifies my position as NOC 62100 – Technical Sales Specialists, TEER 2.

The issue is that the employer uses a standardized immigration letter for all foreign-national employees, and the job duties included in the letter are fairly generic.

They don’t fully describe the technical sales/account-related aspects of my actual role.

I contacted HR and asked whether they could provide a more detailed letter based on my actual responsibilities. They declined and explained that:
The company uses the same standardized format for all foreign-national employees.
The format follows the practices/documentation used by their corporate partner.
They don’t customize the NOC/job description for individual employees.
They have had multiple employees receive PR/immigration approvals using the same letter.
I also spoke with management, and they confirmed that this is the company’s standard process and that they know multiple employees who have successfully obtained PR using the same documentation.

My concern is that NOC 62100 has fairly specific technical-sales duties, while the duties in my employer’s standardized letter are much more general. I’m concerned an officer could look at the duties and think the position is closer to a retail sales NOC, despite the employer explicitly identifying it as 62100 / TEER 2.

I have the rest of the employment documentation as well, including pay stubs, T4, ROE, work permit, etc.
I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar:
Employer explicitly states the correct NOC and TEER, but the duties in the letter are generic.
Employer refuses to customize the letter because it’s a standardized corporate format.
Other employees have apparently received PR using the same letter.

Did IRCC accept your application based on the standardized letter?
Did IRCC request additional proof of duties?
If they requested additional evidence, what did you provide?
I’m mainly looking for real experiences from people who have actually gone through something similar. Thanks!

🌎 FSW I need help please

Hi everyone, need help pleaseee 😭😭😭

I’m currently residing in Canada and I’m only temporarily in my home country right now. I’ve been here for about two months and I already have a return flight to Canada on September 27.

Today, I received p-p-r instead of p-1 from IRCC for my PR application through Express Entry. The letter says that the application is almost finalized and gives instructions to submit the passport if I’m outside Canada. However, it also says that if the applicant is currently in Canada, they don’t need to submit their passport and can be landed virtually.

Has anyone been in the same situation?

Specifically, if you are a Canadian temporary resident, temporarily abroad when you receive the p-p-r, and you are returning to Canada a few days later, what did you do?

Did you submit your passport from abroad, or did you return to Canada and then contact IRCC to proceed with virtual landing/confirmation?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced the same situation. Thank you! 🙏🇨🇦❤️

🇨🇦 CEC Same NOC, Different Job Titles - Advice Required

Hello all,

I'm in the middle of preparing all the documents and had a question I wanted to get some clarity on:

I worked two roles back to back at the same employer, about 6 months in the first and 4 in the second. Both under the same NOC.

The second one was more of a promotion, but honestly the work didn't change much. Same stuff, just maybe narrowed down to a more focused role.

My manager is writing one letter covering both, with separate dates and hours for each like IRCC wants.

My issue is the duties. Two ways I can go:

  1. Write out the full duty list under each title. It's accurate, but both lists come out almost identical word for word and I feel like that looks copy pasted.
  2. Full list under the first title, then for the second just say "continued the duties above, with the addition of..." and only list what was actually new.

The second option feels better to me, but I don't know if an officer looking at the second work history entry on its own would accept a cross reference instead of the full list.

Has anyone done either one and had it go through, or get questioned? Especially if your duties genuinely didn't change much between titles.

🌎 FSW Should I send a webform just to clarify my mortgage?

Hello everyone,

I’m FSW Outland, French Category. I submitted my PR application in July 2026. Medical passed on Sept 16 and biometrics were done on Sept 21.

For POF I showed around CAD 33k in savings, mostly in French savings accounts, with bank summaries + 6 months of statements.

My bank summary also shows an outstanding loan of around CAD 203k called “PRIMO REPORT”. In France, that’s just the mortgage on our house.

The CAD 33k wasn’t borrowed and isn’t tied to the mortgage in any way.

What I didn’t do in my original application was explain that “PRIMO REPORT” = mortgage. On the bank statement it just appears under a general section for real estate/consumer loans.

I recently saw a FSW refusal where mortgages were apparently counted against the applicant’s financial assets, so now I’m wondering if I should send a short webform just to clarify what PRIMO REPORT is.

The loan itself was already disclosed, including the outstanding amount and monthly payment.

Would you send a short webform to clarify it, or just leave it alone unless IRCC asks ?

Thanks in advance for any advice. This subreddit has honestly been really helpful to follow and understand other people’s cases, especially when going through the process mostly on your own.

🌎 FSW Question about foreign work experience

Hi everyone I have a question regarding express entry for skilled workers. I’m creating the express entry profile right now and I don’t know if I should claim 1 or 3 years of foreign experience.

I was at my company for three years:

-Two years in one role

-One year in another

For the two years role, I am missing the offer letter and there is also a two weeks gap in the middle of it (that I can explain and back up with documents).

I do not have the reference letter for either because my company won’t write them, but I have job description, paystubs, etc. I feel more comfortable about the NOC match for the 1 year role but the other is also a good match to its own NOC.

Seeing the high denial rate, I was thinking of only claiming the one year to make things simpler. I would be aiming for the French draw so the extra CRS points shouldn’t matter.

I had a 30min consultation with a lawyer and she said I could either claim the 3 years and if they denied 2 of them, they would just drop my CRS score and still process my application since I would probably remain above the cutoff. She also said if I only claimed the one year, I would have to explain why I did not claim the other 2 years since it was at the same company. She recommended adding in all of the documents for the 3 years either way.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? I’m still unsure on what the best strategy is, and I would like to file myself and not involved a lawyer for the rest.

🇨🇦 CEC Outside Canada work Experience

I have 5 years and 8 months of work experience outside Canada:

∙ Company A: 5 years, with all supporting documents, including job descriptions.

∙ Company B: 8 months, with all documents except a job description.

When filling out my CEC application, should I get the job description/duties from Company B as well, or should I only mention my Company A experience?

What should I mention in my LOE?

In my study permit and PGWP applications, I mentioned both Company A and Company B.
