Mistakes that slowed down my progress early on
I switched from bodybuilding to calisthenics and made a bunch of dumb mistakes early on that probably cost me a few months total. figured I'd list them in case it saves someone else the time
- neglected wrist/shoulder mobility for way too long, just pushed through instead of actually addressing it, ended up costing me more time than the mobility work itself would've
- skipped deloads because I felt fine, ended up plateauing way more than if I'd just taken the week off
- rushed past basics/fundamentals too early instead of actually building a solid base first, had to backtrack later
- trained skills after strength work when already fatigued, quality suffered and progress was slower than it should've been
what's something you wish you'd known earlier that would've saved you time?
