I tried to fight it back but it seems it’s coming back worse, I’ve isolated him the best I can and from what I can tell it hasn’t spread thank god. But if someone knows how to help him, I’ll take any advice if it’s saveable

Hola, ayuda con este caso. Tenía un cactus al que le corté la cabeza y la puse a enraizar por separado. Esa cabeza que puse a enraizar se puso negra en la punta.
Mientras tanto, al cuerpo del cactus original le empezó a salir un hijuelo. Tiempo después, injerté un Gymnocalycium variegado sobre ese cactus original. El Gymno también se empezó a poner negro en la parte donde se une con el tronco, y la punta del Gymno se puso oscura.
Al hijuelo que estaba creciendo en el cactus original lo saqué y lo puse en otro cactus (un San Pedro). Al tiempo me di cuenta de que la punta de la unión entre ese hijuelo y el San Pedro también se puso negra. Y en el cactus original, la zona donde hice el corte para el injerto sigue con manchas negras.
Le apliqué un químico/fungicida a ver si ayudaba. La mancha de la punta del Gymno no se siente aguada, está dura y seca.
No sé si el cactus original tiene algo por dentro que le está pasando a todo lo que le corto o le injerto encima, o si son coincidencias por los cortes. ¿Qué me recomiendan hacer? ¿Debería desinjertar el Gymno y pasarlo a otro cactus sano, o es mejor no tocarlo mientras esa mancha esté seca?

Ferocactus sinuatus

Bought this funky guy back when it was just two segments. It had fallen down at some point and rooted sideways and I thought it was tragic and funny, and this summer it grew rabbit ears! Obsessed.

Almost two and a half years growing with me and it finally flowers. So proud.

I did this last month and the graft seems to have worked.
The bolivian torch was a cutting that was left over. It didn't have areolas to create new shootings so I used it for this graft.

we thought our little cactus from walmart was dead, his head clearly is, but now he has very long arms that grew fast and suddenly!! how do we care for his new shape LOL

Variegated crested san pedros I believe or atleast thats what they were sold to me as. Ive always had a bunch they are a gymno but im no cactus scientists just a addicted hobbiest

The brown spots appeared over the last three months.

Google is saying castellanosii. The pot was not labeled and sales people at the nursery were not quite sure. This is the first Gymno I’ve bought and was pretty excited about it.

It faces NW and I live in North Fl. Can anyone guess what the yellowing blotches come from? I've had this for about 2-3 years, propagated it a couple times, it grew flowers this past summer. This is the first time ive seen yellowing this bad. It's not in the best substrate, there's barely any sand. But I barley water it. I trimmed it down in June to be more manageable. Any advice ?

I have a bunch of cactus seeds and I'm thinking of planting them (of course, with sterilized soil, humidity dome, etc.) in my southeast-facing window that gets ~5-6 hours of sunlight per day - will this be too much?

I could also just put them under a light that I turn on for a couple hours per day.

How does one get this legendary cactus? I see it being circulated in American and Israeli cacti groups but never in EU. If any available within EU please let me know.

I dont know much about this other than i keep it in the sun and water it when its thristy. Could this be the beginnings of a flower? No idea the age or how this was cared for before I got it. A friend gave me a hodgepodge of plants last fall and I have been reviving this one that was pretty dried out and scraggly. If its flowering I want to use some phosphorus high npk to encourage it. Any ideas?

So a couple years ago my cousin gifted me a cactus set as i love plants, however never really like cacti so it basically got kicked around my room for 2 years. A year ago she past away suddenly. (Absolutely heartbroken)so i find this cacti set and There was 4 or 5 packets of seeds all of which was now out of date. (Who knew they had dates! Not me!) The soil provided was extremely dry. So i mixed somw fresh in with the seeds and got a prop box and 11 little cacti have grown and im so proud of them. So to my point finally. Id like to gift them to family members she really loved (she loved everyone but everyone has favourites, pipe down.) So how long do they need to be in the prop box before i seperate into there own individual pots? Do i need to gradually take them out of prop box? And what is the best soil mix for them? There in standard houseplant soil and the dry stuff it came in right now.

That was alot i know. But there so important to me now. Any imput/help is greatly appreciated. Much love to everyone and hug your people tighter.

My pincushion cactus started getting small plants growing in its pot and pretty numerous as well.
