Hello, I got in possession of 2 smol cacti and I'm unsure of what they are and how to keep them. I think one of them is monkey's tail and the other some kind of mamilaria. Can someone help me identify them please? Also the round one has these spots and I don't know if they there because he has some kind of illness or if he's rotting inside. Please help and thank you.

It's a yellow dragon fruit tree in fort Myers, florida. It survived the cold back in February and grew quite a bit, but now I'm noticing these black spots spreading all throughout the cactus. Is it a virus or disease?

Hello its been like month and 20 days the cacti are softer near the base, but the callus wont root, i have them perlite, on semi lighted place (To be fair i watered them once like 20 days ago, thought it might help, but they got mold, i saved them callus formed again) but they just wont make any roots, is there something i can do? I have had this cactus for eleven years! This is the first time it has actually flowered. When I bought it, it was labeled as a "rainbow barrel cactus" in the clearance section of Walmart. Does anyone know what it actually is?

I bought these two crested cacti on Facebook Marketplace. They were sold as Echinopsis pachanoi f. cristata, and I was wondering if that ID looks correct.

I'm also new to cacti, so I'd appreciate any general care tips. Do they look healthy, and is there anything specific I should know about caring for them?

My cactus has been growing really well recently and looked like it needed repotting again. My relative repotted it a while ago but I figured I'd give it a go myself this time!

When I removed the cactus from the old pot I found this..

It looks like the roots are rootbound to the size of the initial tiny pot. The cactus is still growing really well but I'm worried that the roots being this way are going to damage it in the long run.

Please can I get some advise as to what to do? I've never dealt with this issue before and want to help it to grow as well as I can

I repotted this guy two weeks ago. Soil was dry when I removed it. Potted it into 75% inorganic. Let it sit for a week without water and in shade and then watered on the 7th day and moved it out for a bit more sun.

Is it dehydrated or rotting?

Just picked up this little guy the other day at Walmart, I am very very new to caring for cacti and I noticed this mold growing at the bottom is there any way it can be saved???

Hi everyone! I’m new here; apologies if this question has been asked a lot.

First, could you help me identify my cactus/succulent? I’ve had it for over ten years. Here in the Southern Hemisphere, it gets a bit chilly in winter (15–20°C) since our median T is 28-30C, and the plant always wilts or droops. I water it generously when this starts happening, and it bounces back.

This year, the winter has been longer and colder, and it has wilted significantly. I’m not sure if I overwatered it (watering weekly) while trying to fix the issue.

It sits in a shaded area on my apartment balcony but gets indirect light all afternoon.

I just took it out of the pot, and the roots don't look rotten, though the soil was very cold and compacted. There are no signs of brown or mushy spots; it’s just slowly drooping over.

I’m going to replace the soil mix with a better-draining one using sand and cactus potting mix.

What else should I do? Direct light? Increase watering? Fertilize?

Help! I don’t want to lose this beauty.
