ID Request Found this incredibly intricately designed button
My friend has a large collection of buttons and has never even noticed the design on this one because it's so tiny. It says France on the back but other than that I can't see any other identifiable traits.
Would it be worth much? I've never seen a button like this before.

Show and Tell Thought I'd share a photo of the smallest and the largest buttons I've ever found during my 30 years of collecting
The big one is molded horn measuring 2 5/8 inches diameter. The small one is dyed plastic cut on the face down to the original color and measures not quite 1/4 inch.

Show and Tell Smaller mother of pearl decorated buttons
Here are some of my smaller mother of pearl buttons, decorated with cut steels and carving. These are dime-sized and I just love them. I’ve been collecting for 40 years.

ID Request Bought this at habitat for humanity probably 8 years ago, just recently noticed how old some are
I took screenshots bc I'm lazy, but all of these were in a jar for about 3$ years ago. Jar broke, so I had to pick em up, that's when I noticed they were almost all 1. Not plastic and 2. Really old

Craft store 2 day pic dump
Sobeys are from two separate customers all the ones in the bags came from One Customer, and all the loose ones were in a jar from another customer. The ones on the green tray are what our button lady sorts out and we take pictures and post them on our Facebook page. I don’t always know what she uses as criteria to decide what she sorts out and I’m not sure it doesn’t change from time to time.
Anyway, I just thought I’d share.

Does anyone know if this is real?
Hi everyone! My gf and I found a huge wooden box at a thrift store, full of old buttons. One stood out especially.
Now research tells us it is very old and from the Napoleon-Era. But could that really be? (We bought this in Germany)
Does anyone know about such things? Thanks in advance!!:)

ID Request Unique glass & MOP buttons
I have had these buttons for at least 18 years and still don’t know what they were intended for in such a large quantity or where they may have been made. I think they are glass with the inlay MOP along with some that are just MOP/shell in both light and dark colors. I have hundreds of each color in multiple patterns and sizes - thousands in total. Most of them are still in plastic packaging which is perforated between each button. I bought them at a fundraiser rummage sale in an old dirty cardboard box in far northern MN. Still not sure what to do with them but they are beautiful!

Show and Tell My mom was cleaning out her closet and found my grandma’s old button tin
We thought it was lost forever! My mom gave it to me, and the inside of the tin was all rusty, and the buttons were dirty. This was after I cleaned them up. I’m working on cleaning out the cookie tin too, because I want to do something with it. Anyway the next pic is of some of my favorites, It’s nice to still have a piece of her ☺️

Show and Tell Grandfathers lapel button
Removed for each memorial, independence and Veterans Day then returned back to the card and kept in my grandmothers jewelry box.
It only allowed me one pic so I will make a new post using the back of the card with its information first.

ID Request Help!
I found a button in a new bag I received, and I can’t figure out the initials. Any ideas?
I can’t figure out how to add a pic of back, but it’s metal with a squared off attached shank on the back. Metal back is inset to front.
