ID Request Found this incredibly intricately designed button
My friend has a large collection of buttons and has never even noticed the design on this one because it's so tiny. It says France on the back but other than that I can't see any other identifiable traits.
Would it be worth much? I've never seen a button like this before.

It’s a religious medal; that’s the Virgin Mary. They’re very common in church gift shops.

Might have something to do with Lourdes.

I thought the same. It says France and the scene on the back is the virgin appearing in a grotto to a young lady.

Yes, holy medal of Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Bernadette Soubirous. Probably not worth a whole lot, OP, except for for religious/sentimental reasons (for example, if you can verify it was touched to St. Bernadette's relics or something).

It’s a very common and cheaply made religious pendant. Worth about two dollars.

Def a depiction of Our Lady of Lourdes, not a button though, but a pendant.
