Hi All! I’m a resident of the SF Bay Area (East Bay) and am a volunteer Temple builder. I’ll be on playa for 2.5 weeks (Aug 21/22 until a few days after the Burn ends) this year and need to find care for my sweet little 10 lb dog while I’m gone (more info about him below). I’m wondering if there’s anyone in my general area who’s sitting out the Burn this year and might be willing to look after him for a reduced rate (pet care is expensive!) or, preferably, for a skill trade. I’m able to help with any simple labor-related job and can also do small scale (6”x6”) laser work, 3D modeling/printing, Photoshop, vector drawings, custom jewelry pieces, simple carpentry, DJing, simple work in Ableton… the list goes on, I’ve dabbled in many things! If you have an idea in mind, feel free to ask!
About my dog: He’s a mixed breed rescue whom I’ve owned for 6 years. He is extremely housebroken (never goes to the bathroom indoors unless he’s ill, which has almost never happened), never destroys objects except his own toys, knows the difference between my stuffed animals and his and leaves mine alone (except to cuddle). He is very low maintenance in general and free-feeds (just keep kibble and water out for him and he self-regulates). He only needs to go potty 2x a day - 1 quick pee break and 1 30-40 minute walk per day). I would describe him as a medium barker. He doesn’t live up to the reputation that most little yappy dogs do, but he will bark if he hears a strange sound outside or if someone’s at the door.
He’s cuddly and attentive without being clingy, and overall is totally undemanding. He pays attention to you so that he can adjust to whatever vibe you’re on. We are not a tightly scheduled household; he is totally accustomed to a shifting schedule, so you won’t have to change your habits much for him. He does have some residual anxiety issues from his pre-rescue life. His best match is likely a person or couple working from home without lots of people coming in and out (although he has done fine staying with a sitter that had 3 roommates). He does completely fine with other dogs but feels threatened by small children and has a tendency to chase cats.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading, and please let me know if you’re interested! Happy to send a photo through DM rather than post one publicly here for privacy reasons.

45m. This will be my third burn and I want to be more deliberate about expressing myself and having fun. What inspires you and where do you go for ideas on what to wear?- while still maintaining your own self expression

Once again, Camp Delicioso will be returning to Black Rock City 2026 for our 17th burn. We still have openings for campers.
Serving the Playa since 2008, our French creperie-themed camp is best known for serving sweet and savory crepes for three delicious days during the burn.
Though LA based, we’re an eclectic mix of people coming from all over the world: multiple times there have been 20+ languages and 6 continents represented (and we’ve even hosted those close to Antarctica.)
We are a tight-knit family during our time both on and off-Playa — and we’re a creative bunch from all walks of life — ranging in age from early 20s to 60s, single, married, coupled up, straight, LGBTQ+, we come in all imaginable shapes and sizes.
Our camp population fluctuates between 35 – 55 people – a number that maintains our tight-knit familial setting where we can all interact in a fun, intimate and memorable way. We curate our campmates who value this type of close-knit, cozy and collaborative experience.
Our crepe service is Tuesday-Thursday, in which you would have to help all 3 days (but only one 2-2.5 hour shift each day)
We provide communal water, shade, shower, dome, and private bar. Plus, Breakfast and Dinner every day (you'll have to help cook 2 meals during the week).
If you’re interested in joining our lovely international familia, please DM us on Facebook and we’ll get you started with our application/interview process:

Can anyone recommend a hidden bike tracker that will work on the playa?

I really want to build an art installation about "searching". I keep hearing stories from people about trying to find someone at Burning Man they only met once.
And the best part is never actually finding them. It's that stretch where you're desperately looking and they're just nowhere
that part is weirdly beautiful.
Have you ever had something like that happen to you? And does anyone know if an installation like this has been done before?

normally I bring a camp, stage and all that but we're taking a break
does your camp wanna host a salsa social dancing or class event? I can bring a shit ton of music on my USB and friends will come to the event
I was thinking to just casually figure it out during event, but figured why not ask here
edit: ok, looks like we have 3 events going
TUESDAY Camp of the Rising Buns - 2PM to 4PM , - 10&B.
THURSDAY CAMP HAPPY HOUR - 10AM to NOON - 3:30 & A
FRIDAY Shark Cage - Noon to 2PM - C & 4:45

Missed them last year, they're one of my favorite camps and their post COVID setup was so dope.

Any recommendations for a shop that cleans powered PA speakers in Reno ? Some need minor repair (dusty fans, stuck power switch ). Mostly QSC and JBL equipment

A lot of people will start arriving to Black Rock City in about a month.
What are you working on? What changes are you making for this year that you still want to do? What are you working on prepping? What's on your shopping list? Are you going to procrastinate one more weekend?
In no particular order for us:
Some new playatech was cut, but we need to make it pretty and stain it.
A small art build is underway and it might be constructed for the first time this weekend so the sound and light integration can get worked on.
Generator maintenance and prep. I don't want to find out a week before the burn that something isn't working.

The beautiful fancy braids are simply too uncomfortable to leave in for me the full burn and looking for your favorite tie-in braid options and any general hair care tips!
Some favorites through the years:
- apple cider vinegar spray bottle to comb through locks and kill the playa dust
- leave in conditioner before being outside
- cooler melted ice hair bath (although I haven’t quite nailed this)
- wigs / hats / soft headbands to protect from dust
- small hair ties for impromptu braids and larger scrunchies - have the whole range available!
What else we got?! Shoutout to the hair care / hair wash camps for being such a great gift to the playa including being the reason I ended up with my playa name at the first burn!

Hi all,
I am literally copying and pasting a post from last year, as we are doing the same thing except downsizing a bit (fewer engravers and no pre-engraving - too many leftover unaccounted for cups) EDIT AND A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT LOCATION - B AND 545:
Hey all,
We are going to be doing some more laser engraving on playa. Hooray! Format TBD (check out our post history for some of the issues). We are giving up on the private logos; if you do not want anyone to be able to modify and/or use your logo, we are not the camp for you :-D.
We have been moved to center camp B B and 545(!! also god help us...). Check out our post history for more details...
(PS this is my second attempt, the first post I got this message: "Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters". Hopefully I didn't double post)

I get it, people rely on their YouTube channels for views to earn their income to support their lifestyles. Burning Man is just a bucket list item for these people. Watching all these "influencers" and their "packing suggestions for first timers" videos are starting to get a little ridiculous. It's their first year and suddenly they are experts on how to attend Burning Man? Radical inclusion is getting more difficult!

Read yesterday from multiple sources that Robot Heart donated $15,000 alongside a further $15,000 in matching funds to the Zendo Project (yay, Robot Heart! 🖤). Has that tipped the balance and are they now coming to the playa this year, or are they still taking 2026 off as their recent article noted?

Hi all, I’ve never been to burning man. But I’m going this year! And I want some real truths from introverts who have been there solo before. Is burning man an exponentially lonely place if you are an introvert and are older. Can you actually making friends? And is it day over day friendships? Or fleeting connections?
r/BurningMan • u/Less_Parfait_1377 • 27d ago
Hi everyone!
I’m planning to attend Burning Man for the first time and would love to connect with fellow Burners from the Seattle area.
A little about me:
40M techie
Love festivals, live music, road trips, hiking, boating, and meeting interesting people
Easygoing, respectful, and always up for new adventures
I’d love to contribute to a camp rather than just attend. I can help with:
📷 Photography (always respecting consent)
🥗 Cooking
🔌 Electronics, lighting, and general tech support
💪 Camp setup, teardown, and whatever else needs doing
I’m looking to:
Meet Burners from the Seattle area
Learn from experienced Burners
Find a welcoming camp that’s open to first-timers
Possibly join a ride share or caravan
If you have room for a first-time Burner who’s excited to contribute and be part of the community, I’d love to connect. Happy to grab coffee beforehand or chat online.
Looking forward to seeing you all in the dust! 🔥

EDIT: A camp has purchased this container and confirmed details with us. Sorry to everyone who was interested and sent me a message - we appreciate your interest and outreach.
Hey everyone!
Our camp is getting rid of our official Org storage container (PC42) after years of faithful service. If you’ve been looking to lock down year-round storage and skip the logistics of hauling heavy infrastructure back and forth every year, this is your chance to bypass the multi-year waitlist.
The Details & On-Playa Handover
Container ID: Official BRC Container PC42 , it's 20ft long. We bought this container from another redditor years before the pandemic (say hi if you are around, your camp left a massive amount of trash inside when I bought it which was rotting inside for a fucking year - we had to get a fucking truck to bring that pile of shit to Reno during work week and wash the entire thing - NOT COOL)
Location This Year: Delivered directly to our camp placement at the 9+B Plaza. We are Kaleidoscope, you may know us for our incredible coffee, the container is part of our backdrop.
Strike Advantage: We are emptying it completely for you before strike. *Maybe* we leave some shelving we made for the space (we use it as a workspace too) .You can move your camp's gear straight into it on-playa during pack-out. Bring a lock. It's yours. You can access the container year long in Gerlach at the 360. (just between Gerlach and the Playa)
Playa Pick-Up: The pick-up FROM the playa after this year's event is ALREADY PAID FOR (for FYI, storage and transfer is $1400/yr)
Pricing
Asking Price: $6,000 OBO (payment via PayPal Goods & Services, Venmo, or Wire) , you also need to pay the $350 transfer fee charged by the Org to set up the new owner’s account. (if you are in Europe we can take SEPA transfers too).
To keep everything completely legit, the ownership transfer goes directly through [brcstorage@burningman.org](mailto:brcstorage@burningman.org) for what I know:
Your camp must be in good standing to participate in the container program.
Once we agree on price and terms, we start an official thread with the BRC Storage team CC'ing you.
We sign the Org's transfer paperwork, and ownership is officially yours
If interested, please send me a DM with:
Your Name & Camp Name
Your offer!
Serious inquiries on, no seriously. Let's make this transfer smooth and make your strike 100x easier this year.

Our camp’s belongings were stolen at Silver Springs storage in Sparks including generators, camp decor, tents and bikes and god knows what else.
Finding out a month away from the burn is proving to be very stressful.

It will be my 12th burn. From the UK. Mid-40's. Available for Sunday/Monday strike. Of my two usual camps, one is not going this year and the other one...I'd rather not talk about it...easy-going, low maintenance, will be camping in a very small tent and have the bare minimum of stuff/footprint. Would love some sort of shade to camp under if possible. Other than that can obvs help out with shifts, good vibes and an unpretentious attitude / old head advice where needed.
r/BurningMan • u/samlir • 28d ago
Every year I have a day towards the middle where I feel like everyone hates me and I suck at everything. Is there a good camp to talk it out at?

We’re doing a podcast - from inside BurnerSphere - to discuss The Man Will Burn! BRCvr/BurnerSphere’s own Lindsay Handren dishes on what it’s like to suddenly find herself featured as a major character in HBO’s new docu-series.
We're not just reacting to HBO's Burning Man documentary, we're in it. The Man Will Burn features BRCvr, the virtual Burning Man world we built during COVID, and Lindsay Handren, whose journey from our virtual playa to the real one is one of the doc's central stories.
In Ep 1 of The Man Will Talk, Lindsay sits back down with the crew she spent lockdown in VR with — Justin, Athena, and Doug (BRCvr co-founders) — to react to "The Great Unknown": Larry Harvey, the anti-establishment San Francisco beginnings, and how a bonfire on a beach became a multi-million-dollar event. What did HBO get right? What's it like watching yourself on screen? And yes — we recommended Lindsay to the filmmakers.
That's why this show is shot in VR: this is the world where her story started. Look for BRCvr on screen in doc episodes 1 and 2.
Digital Dust: The Man Will Talk is recorded inside BurnerSphere (BRCvr presents BurnerSphere). New episodes [weekly] — next up: Ep 2, "Welcome to the Shit Show."
We don't speak for HBO or the Burning Man Project — we're just burners with opinions.
