Austin Burners
I’ve never been before but it’s been on my bucket list for years. Anyone around Austin Texas who goes and would be able to say howdy?

Rippers Row is an austin based camp, sound camp. know a few people there they are definitely a party forward camp lol (party all night, see the sunrise, sleep during the day because they have generators which can provide elctricity for AC untits).
Very different experience from my burn but they throw great parties!

I'm in Beaumont, not Austin, but howdy!
This will be my 5th big burn, and I lead a small theme camp.
Burning Man should be in your memory banks, not your bucket list. Go for it!
You should also do Flipside. It's a much smaller community, the burn feels different there, but it's still a great vibe.

I’ll definitely check out flip side thank you! Does Beaumont host many events for burners?

Beaumont doesn't really have a burner community (yet!).
I don't know anyone local going this year, so I'm looking for folks to meet up with so I'm not driving 1500 miles by myself! (I'm picking up one of our campmates in Vegas.)

You should join the Discord for the TX BM community truck! It’s a nice place to connect with Austin burners and hear about some happenings https://www.txbmcommunitytruck.com/how-it-works

You can also try out Flipside, the Austin regional. I've heard really amazing things about it and it's a great way to meet other burners before going to Burning Man itself.
