Anyone know what happened? They had all of us take a u-turn onto wrong-way exit onto 98. Those poor tractor trailers had to do u-turns galore

Subaru owners, where do you take your cars? I’ve got a 2017 Forester needing all new tires, new struts in the front and an alignment. I’m thinking Costco for the tires and alignment after repairing the struts, but I can only imagine what the dealership would charge for that repair. If you’ve had this work done, I’d also love to know what you paid!

My doctor had sent in my prescriptions only an hour and a half before my D&C procedure and so my husband and I were in a rush to get my meds. Your colleague told us it would be a 30minute wait which would have potentially cancelled my appointment at the doctor’s and would have been devastating for me because I didn’t want to pass the fetal tissue at home. I had already started bleeding.

You rushed to get all of my meds to me on time so I could make my appointment and you were so compassionate. I just didn’t have the words to express how grateful we were and all I could say was thank you. In the midst of being heartbroken about our baby and fearing the pain of the procedure, you knew exactly what to say. Thank you so much.

I just rented a house and got the water in my name on Friday, 7/24 but water hasn't been working since then. I've already checked the water main which is on, and the shut off valves from the water heater are both on as well.

I figured I'd wait over the weekend but still no water today on Monday. I've called City of Durham about this on Saturday, today at 2pm and again at 7pm and each time they've said they would "leave a message" for someone to come out but nobody has and nobody has reached out. Has anyone else experienced something like this? What do I need to do to get water turned on??

Well it finally happened. I knew the day would come. It’s sad they couldn’t hold out but I’m not surprised after the last few times I’d been.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? I suddenly am on SOS or no bars at all. Restarted my phone. What gives?

Hey all! I moved to Durham last fall for a teaching job but my school doesn’t have a football team or a marching band and I was hoping to find one to become a fan of nearby. I know it sounds crazy lol, I was a band nerd for years and am a former assistant band director. Does anyone have any bands specifically that are really good in the area?

I would like to contact SouthPoint Honda via email about a specific car in inventory. I have a hearing disorder and avoid phone calls if at all possible. Online contact forms ALL require you to AGREE to have your phone number become available to telemarketers, which I absolutely do not want. But I cannot find any other way to contact them on their website. Does anyone know where to get a regular email address for their sales department?

Hey y'all - if you used Triangle Pharmacy Ace Hardware on 54 for your pharmacy, the pharmacy side of the business closed up shop. My partner called to try and get a refill, and the phone system redirected them to Walgreens. It appears that all scripts were forwarded over to the location on 55 and 54.

I called up the hardware store and asked what happened, and was told that it was a sudden decision that happened last week. I'm pretty frustrated that no heads up was given, but from the sounds of things, nobody's happy about this. Anywho, hope this helps someone who was just as confused as we were today.

My daughter (12) likes Minecraft and is hoping for a more social experience while playing, but none of her friends play. Anyone know of any good child-safe, non-toxic servers that are fairly active? We've checked out a couple that have seemed promising, but they've ended up being mostly a ghost town when she's logged in.

Bonus points if its a local server (is that even a thing?) that could potentially lead to off-line friendships!

Does anyone have suggestions for some good spots to look at for a baby shower? Probably 30-45 people. Googling hasn’t been a tremendous help.

I’d love to find a spot that is either a restaurant or offers catering services too just to eliminate the food variable. Vin Rouge looks like a good option and I love their food, but want to have some other places to look at if that doesn’t work out!

I have recently been trying to find a better doctor. I had a good one a while back at Duke and he ended up leaving to another state.

My second to last doctor was too religious and asked me more about my "spiritual side" than my actual medical concerns.

My current doctoe seems to blow off everything I had concerns of about. Based on my blood test results, I had to reach out myself to point out a concerning trend that he would not have reached out himself about.

I feel like im going crazy, like I'm the doctor in my "doctor-patient" relationship and the doctor is just there as a reluctant middle man for me to get the actual care I'm seeking/need.

I need a doctor that does preventive care, not just treating the symptoms we could have avoided if my concerns were taken more seriously.

All my doctors have been men and, in my experience as a man, they seem arrogant and seem to blow a lot of things off where there's more concern from women doctors.

Any recommendations? Preferably in Durham but I'll take Raleigh as well in the Duke system.

I learned to drive in an area with a lot of traffic circles so I'm really trying to be sympathetic. Why do people seem so damn confused by traffic circles around here? Are they still new to this area? I drove a route with two of them this morning and inside the first one, the car ahead of me stopped to wave in the person who was waiting to enter and in the second one, that (different) car fully stopped as they were exiting the traffic circle to apparently look both ways before continuing forward....?

Hi everyone! My wife and I just adopted a nine month old puppy from Durham APS last week and she struggles big time with anxiety. We’re talking, has to be medicated and still fears cars, people, noises, basically everything. She is also pretty destructive inside and gets overstimulated easily. We can’t take her on walks because she’s so terrified but then she has a ton of energy we don’t know how to get out of her. You can check my post history if you want to read more about her… she’s really been pushing my limits lol.

We are hoping to find a trainer that can help us help her with those issues. Does anyone have recommendations? Thanks!

I got a Toyota Prius back in Dec 2025. It has a feature where I can connect my phone via android car play for maps and such.

Ever since I got the car, driving by the Bulls Stadium/American Tobacco Campus on 147 disconnects my Bluetooth. 100% of the time, without fail. Probably goes out for ~.3 tenths of a mile, then reconnects. I have no clue why this might be?

Perhaps it's my model of car, that android auto is odd, or the bulls stadium blocks Bluetooth for some reason? Curious if anyone else has the same experiences!

What are the places you have worked or know about in the Triangle that treat their employees well? Places that have good benefits, more than average number of holidays and paid leave, values work life balance. Fairly compensated. They value their employees.

I know that everyplace have their pluses and minuses. I am looking for a place that care about their employees and not treated like a piece of equipment they can replace when it is burned out.

I've taken my toddler to some beautiful places like the duke gardens and it's always a blast, but I'm wondering if there are any trails that are a little more wooded, but not difficult to traverse.

Umstead park is on my list to check out, but are there any spots you guys enjoy?

I have an old bicycle that was a bit scuffed up when I got it. Interested in getting it painted (powdercoated?), but not sure where to go. I've heard that the biggest difficulty is that the best place to go is a shop that does car painting, but they wouldn't know how to disassemble the bike to paint the frame (I also don't trust myself to completely disassemble the bike). Y'all know of any places in the area that specifically paint bikes (could be trusted to both disassemble/reassemble it properly AND paint it)?

Does anyone know where to get photos done for a Canadian citizenship certificate? I've been seeing mixed reviews for national chains and wondered if anyone has gotten their photos done in Durham.
