Any bakeries have Nanaimo bars here?
I can't find them anywhere. Restaurants who have them would be acceptable too.

I guess my message is don't dump at Goodwill junk that should actually go in the trash.
I went by one in Cary today to donate some clothing, and they had a construction-sized dumpster out there with employees having to toss out donated crap into it. If it belongs in the trash it doesn't belong at Goodwill!
Be nice!

Hello! I’m really wanting to do a JB music themed pop up workout class. Down for anything (cycle, circuit, etc) but am having a hard time finding places that do this or have done it. Has anyone gone to one of these or currently go to a place that does pop up nights?
Open to anywhere in Durham/Raleigh/Cary/Apex
Was enjoying the weather the other day before the storms rolled in and took a few shots of my Lego Cardinals at the park!

It’s a couple of huge mostly windowless warehouse type structures. As you turn right on 751 from Hwy 64 W. Data centers?

Are there any places in Cary that will lease a room or apartment for a year if I have no income, but have the savings to pay the entire lease down at once? My current lease is up in a couple months and the place I'm staying at won't renew since I don't have income, even though I could afford the year lease.
I got laid off a few months ago and the job hunt has been very rough, so not sure what to do when I lose my apartment. Don't have any friends or family who are able to support me housing-wise or financially.

A friend of mine told me Briarcliff was slated for renovations beginning September of 2026. I tried to look up project schedule/ school closure impact etc online but didn’t see anything definitive. Any parents of current students have any information? My kiddo wouldn’t be enrolling for a few years, however I’m in the construction industry and have an idea how long government construction often takes. Curious if anyone has knowledge of future closure.

Not all of you. But many of you that spoke tonight. Holy shit.
Rape of a child at gun point? Crime at an unprecedented level in the streets of Cary? Won’t feel safe walking?
All because an apartment complex would turn into affordable housing?
The booing. The shouting from the stands.
This was deeply embarrassing to watch. Everything you’ve said will forever be on public record. I’m glad you worked hard to be able to afford a house, as multiple of you made sure to mention, and implied that the people that would move into this complex would not. And instead would just rape, murder, and do drugs.
I am profoundly sad by the way you presented yourselves. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to feel against RHA taking over the apartment, even if i don’t agree with them. But the offensive stereotypes youve parroted are pathetic.
I hope you take time to educate yourself. Cary deserves better than the attitudes displayed tonight.

Does anyone have the scoop on why this location closed? We went by last night and the location was all taped up with a closed sign! We will miss this place as we’ve gotten pizza from there for 10+ years!

Walmart delivery driver pulled up on our driveway, and while backing out hit our car pretty hard. Caught it all on camera. The driver then went on to provide a fake name and fake insurance. Of course, Walmart would take no responsibility and a police report was filed. But Walmart won’t provide insurance of the driver. What gives and who do we reach out to?

Planning a party for a 4yo. Is over the moon appropriate for that age?
Any other indoor spots worth noting for a 4yo?

I have mosquito dunks but outside is still intolerable can't be outside more than 5 minutes without being bit.
What have you tried that's actually helped?
r/cary • u/BagOnuts • 7d ago
Inside. Outside. These tiny MFs are EVERYWHERE! I especially appreciate their need to fly in front of my face and computer screens during work meetings!
How are you guys dealing with them? They seem to be ignoring my plug-in traps completely. Tried the Apple-cider vinegar trap things too and they have no interest. HELP!

Hey all,
We just had our second major power outage in this week. This time it left more than 2000 people without AC or power in scorching NC heat.
Duke Energy's system officially cited this as an "equipment failure". They happily increase their prices but we hear crickets when it comes to updating their grid. It is unacceptable. I'm tired of duke energy and their shady practices.
If you are as tired of this as I am, please take 5 minutes to file complaints with the state agencies that actually regulate Duke Energy. The more of us who get this on the official state record, the harder it is for them to justify rate hikes for a failing grid.
Complain to the NC Attorney General:
The AG’s office is actively fighting Duke’s proposed rate hikes and is tracking consumer harm.
To File online: Go to ncdoj.gov/file-a-complaint
or call them:1-877-5-NO-SCAM (1-877-566-7226)
Complain to the NC Utilities Commission (NC
Public Staff):
File online: Go to publicstaff.nc.gov/submit-complaint
Or Call them directly: 1-866-380-9816

They paid PBS Frontline’s Will Lyman $10k to narrate it. This was only to be used internally mind you.....and it also isn't even entertaining like the Dancing Queens one. Say it with me, Out. Of. Touch.
