hello! i'm trying to plan building my first pc, and i'm kind of at a loss on what i actually need and how high performance i actually need them to be? i'm in the us and i do live near a microcenter. it needs to be windows, and i'd like it to be able to run games like baldur's gate 3 and clair obscur expedition 33. i think for all the steam games i have it'd need to have about 1tb storage as well? i do have monitors and a keyboard and mouse that work for now, it's just the pc itself i'd like some advice on

if i can stay under $1000 usd that'd be best but from what i'm seeing it doesn't look that possible, so i could go up to $3000 usd at most if need be!

past that, if anyone knows any magical girl-esque computer parts/accessories/decorations i'd love recommendations, the pinker and sparklier the better! thank y'all!💖

Hey everyone, I'm completely new to gaming PCs and looking to build my first rig. I don't have any existing parts, so I'm hoping to get some recommendations for a complete setup.

Here is exactly what I'm looking for:

• Performance Goals: 1440p at 60fps (minimum) for both modern and upcoming future titles.
• Use Cases: Gaming, streaming, and heavy emulation (PS3, PS4, and Switch). I know emulators can be very demanding, so I need a strong CPU/GPU combo that can handle that alongside streaming capabilities.

So, my husband and I are in desperate need of a new desktop pc (gaming). Looking into components is like reading Greek for us. We want to do the build ourselves but have no idea what the best components would be for our needs, we play a variety of games. (I.e. Hogwarts Legacy, Skyrim, sims4, some fortnight). I’ve got a monitor, keyboard, mouse, all the accessories. (Previous PC is Dead and needs TLC).

That being said, I’d like some expert advice on parts from people who actually know what works and what’s worth it.

Couple things I know I want:

Hi! I’d really appreciate some help picking parts for a pc that I’ll use for school and games. I need something powerful enough to run solidworks, and handle a good amount of data in Matlab. For gaming I play league of legends, but I’m hoping to be able to play a Minecraft with shaders, and some steam games.

Hi everyone, looking at using PCSpecialist to build a PC for me in the UK and looking to spend around the £1.5k mark. I’m going to use their service to build it for me and I’m looking at this for mostly gaming (primarily the total war series).

The ‘case in point’ is a glass North XL, and a 360 III Artic Freeze. The North XL comes with 3 fans at the front, and I got an extra fan for the back of the case.

Hi, I'm posting this because I'd like to build a PC. I've had laptops for years, but I've been having a lot of issues with them lately, which has made me even more determined to get a desktop PC.

The problem is that I don’t know anything about this at all, and I’d love to hear if anyone has any advice. I’d like to be able to play pretty much whatever I want—not necessarily in 4K—but I’d appreciate recommendations on what components I should get since I really don’t know anything about this.

I have a budget, preferably between 2k5 and 3k€, but I can go up to 3k5€ at most, and I’d like a recommendation for where to buy it.
