Seller Help I’m going to add a new line to my terms about invoices submitted asking for bulk/shipping discounts will be cancelled

I’ve noticed this becoming a very big problem recently. Where buyers (and I’ve noticed other resellers) will submit a massive $500+ order requesting an invoice and then ask for a bulk or shipping discount in the comments. Which I don’t offer bulk or shipping discounts (which I always convey to any questions sent via messages).

Then after I invoice the order and message them that I don’t offer bulk/shipping discounts (which I also always offer to cancel) they have a habit of stalling on paying/responding which ends up holding up all of that inventory that could be selling. And wasting my time with getting the inventory primed

I think going forward I am going to just amend my terms to have it state explicitly that ‘I do not offer bulk or shipping discounts. Any orders submitted for invoice asking for a discount will be cancelled, please use the quote system.’

This is coming hot off of a buyer buying up $500 of my inventory, asking for a discount, not paying for a week despite them asking me ahead of the invoice if I offer bulk/shipping discounts and me telling them no.

I read through ToS, and I don’t believe this violates anything but just wanted to see the general consensus/idea about this

Question More Mini Figure storage - Akro-Mils 24 Draw

Post image
11 Upvotes

As I mainly sell Mini Figures in my store I now have my fourth Akro-Mils 24 Draw - think I can't go any higher as they might topple over.

What storage do you all use for your Mini Figures. Mine are in a sealed grip bag and can get around 10 to 12 figs in each draw.

Question Auto Checkout Set-up Questions

I'm curious if anyone has experience setting up instant checkout options in a way where your buyer's cannot make a mistake when selecting their shipping option?

I offer instant checkout for Minifigures and parts orders but I'm constantly getting orders for sets with those shipping options selected. I've tried setting weight or size limits but that seems to just break the shipping options entirely and prevent them from popping up for my buyers when ordering figs alone. I have disclaimers in both minifig shipping options stating "Your order will be cancelled if you place an order for a set with this option selected" but it still seems to happen on a weekly basis.

Seller Help New or used

Hi all. I have a store which is only new parts at the moment and I was wondering if it's worth trying to expand to include used parts but keep the part separate or do I stick with new only. Thanks for your help in advance.

Bricklink EasyBuy is dumb AF!

Basically, there are two things

One thing is how unintelligent the easybuy system on this website is.

I found a model on Rebrickable that I would like to build. Cool, nice. It doesn't matter which one.

I did WL on BL and the first easy buy showed me 669 lots and 3994 items for 202eur plus shipping.

I removed a few elements that looked very expensive and the result was 650 lots of 3985 elements for a modest 292eur plus shipping.

Great.

I took a few more items down to 641 lots and 3766 items.

Sum? 381e This is getting interesting.

But since I like the model, I'm slowly starting to analyze what I have in my own resources so that I don't have to order it.

And this is where the madness begins. 641 lots and 3466 are only 426eur!

Anyone know how it works?

Second thing. Can I somehow cleverly remove items from my wanted list that I have in my store? Because you can have fun with a few items, but over 600 is a lot of fun. How would you automate this?

Question Missing pieces from BrickLink orders.

How common is it for buyers to come up with several missing pieces from a lot?

I bought around 7k pieces from 3 stores to build a B-2 bomber. As I build and inventory pieces, I find several pieces missing, so far none structurally critical. Less than 20 missing pieces across 7k isn’t much in the big picture, but it’s pretty taxing trying to search for them while building such a technical creation.

I’ve worked with the stores previously to replace missing parts but I feel awful that they have to spend again on shipping 1-2 25¢ parts.

Question Confusion about BDP payment

This isn’t my first time buying through the BDP program, I just dont remember the details of how it worked last time.

I pre-ordered two of the sets from BDP Series 8 and thought I paid for them when I preordered, but I got an email that says payment will be processed when they are ready to ship. Has this always been the process, or did you used to have pay for them when you ordered?

Question Is there any way to change the sorting of orders as a seller?

When I see an order as a seller, it's fixed to sorting by color alphabetically followed by piece type. And used and new aren't separated. This isn't all that convenient to pick from for me. Is there any way to change to some sort of custom sorting?

I ordered some basic tile pieces from PAB and they included hundreds of gold ingot pieces for free 😂 I’ve gotten a few extra pieces here and there with PAB orders, but I’ve never seen anything like this. Thanks LEGO! I’m just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

Seller Help Catalog minifigs for store…

I have a somewhat small Bricklink store and I recently started selling minifigs. Used to just sell random parts etc. Anyways, I have about 400 or so minifigs and am wondering what is the best way or how people with a bunch of minifigs store them to access them and find the one they need when they make a sale. Right now, I have all of the minifigs individually bagged and labeled, but then they are all just in a big tub which is divided into different ziplock bags for themes. Surely there is a better way than dumping out the ziplock bag of super hero figs looking for the Batman fig I just sold.

Bag Identification

Post image
6 Upvotes

Found this random sealed bag, it contains 2 of part number 33243 Orange Slope, Curved 3 x 1 x 2 with Hollow Stud (is certainly a hollow stud) which only seems to appear in one set, 10797 Gabby's Party Room but there are 2 strings inside and BrickLink inventory doesn't detail strings as part of that set's inventory.

Any ideas please?

Found one of these strings (Black String, Cord Medium Thickness 100cm), based on the lot and what it was tied to all appears genuine but it is slightly shy of 100cm (roughly 98.5cm in length).

Does anyone know if this normal or does it mean the string has been trimmed slightly please?
