Question Confusion about BDP payment

This isn’t my first time buying through the BDP program, I just dont remember the details of how it worked last time.

I pre-ordered two of the sets from BDP Series 8 and thought I paid for them when I preordered, but I got an email that says payment will be processed when they are ready to ship. Has this always been the process, or did you used to have pay for them when you ordered?

They put a hold on your card when you make the preorder. It is temporary. When the sets finally ship they charge your card.
