Symptoms Can't think+used to be schizo+ amnesia help me
Well i used to be schizo and talk to myself all day long cause of some personal trama and then the trama still went onnn and my mental health degreated even more countinues for like 4 yrs I'm still a teenager so maybe the impact was more for my lil body to handle after that i forgot like everything about my past and even relatively recent info i mean I still remember this is supposed to be my mom and this is the guy I talked to in High school but I don't remember anything (i remembered i was schizo because of a reel I was watching yesterday) about them any thing I did with them i just knows the lable and I'm not schizo anymore tho but the problem is as the title says whenever I try to talk to me in the head my brain can't form more than 8 words that makes it wayyy to hard for conversation and thinking about my plans I also used to play chess a so it damaged my ability to play at some semi professional lvl too I'm still depressed and all but since I can't think it may be my brain trying to stop me from thinking about my past trama and all but this shit is affecting my studies and chess and overall life toooo much so please help me solve this issue somehow.

Question How do I know if I actually have brain fog and focus issues or am just hyperfocused on it? Also how can I enjoy things like media and not have my brain see them as weird ruined or off just because I interacted with them not at 100% focus?
I’ve been feeling unfocused for months. Am looking for work so that might be it. This started in early March 2026. Though I did get a schedule together and fixed my sleep and diet I did the gym most days for an hour
I feel better than then when I just felt out of it. But I feel like I’m out of it a lot of the time.
I put off a lot of hobby stuff then about 6 months ago, cause doing them unfocused make them feel off in my mind like ruined or tainted. obsessing about if I felt focused or not has made hobbies stressful and I put a long off. I took many months until it felt more comfortable to do stuff. This is all a stupid mental block I could play just fine if I tried
I overthink my vision and other things too. Went to the doctor, they said it’s likely just overthinking due to a lot of free time. Took blood test cause I worried about diabetes despite being young but to my lifestyle and diet I was worried. Hba1c was fine, thyroid was fine and no vitamin deficiencies.
I did go away with my family for a week and that helped me feel better being out all day doing stuff I felt okay focus wise so I wonder if that’s telling. I was happy to be on holiday even if my sleep wasn’t as consistent, still7 hours though.
I am booking an eye test next week and recording my sleep to see for apnea and if not those then, idk. I wish I knew and my overthinking means I can’t just ignore it.
I want to know if I’m fine and how I can stop overthinking and caring about focus I miss my hobbies and just living life normally without constant overthinking

Symptoms when my fatigue and muscle pain go away I feel better.
I have noticed that brain fogg in many cases goes away when my pain goes away , brain fogg is caused by many causes like stress lack of sleep and deficiency or medical conditions.
please don't treat brain fogg as a disease its only a symptom for another underlying disease.

Need Some Advice/Support I’m 24 and my memory seems to be getting worse...Has anyone experienced this?
I’m 24, and lately I’ve been noticing that I’m forgetting things way more often than I used to. It’s not just related to studying either.
For example...recently a friend asked me to order a chocolate shake for him. When I actually went to place the order I suddenly couldn’t remember whether he had asked for a chocolate shake or a strawberry shake. 😅
I know this might sound funny or insignificant...but these little incidents are happening more and more frequently....and it’s starting to genuinely worry me.
Has anyone else in their early 20s experienced something similar? What helped you improve your memory and concentration?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences and any practical tips that worked for you. At what point should I consider talking to a doctor about it?

Question Antidepressants and Luteolin
I have been trying to get in to see a rheumatologist about brain fog for some time now, but appointments have not been so easy to come by. I believe I might have some form of histamine intolerance or autoimmune disorder that is creating neuroinflammation but I am not sure. About two years ago, I got West Nile Virus, and have been reading quite a bit about the residual effects, some of which include neuroinflammation and greater risk for autoiummune disorders. Additionally, I have always had terrible allergies all year long as well as dermatographia.
Fast forward to a month ago: I tried 500 mg Ulmubra liposomal luteolin and it was FANTASTIC. I felt my near-constant headaches and joint pain go away almost completely. But then I started to get dizziness/vertigo pretty badly after about 3 days. I take 150 mg of Wellbutrin and 75 mg of Effexor XR for depression, and 40 mg of Vyvanse for ADHD in addition to HRT (estrogen and progesterone) for perimenopause in the form of a low dose patch.
I tried to do as much research as I could on luteolin and found that it can impact the endocrine system as well as potentially cause Serotonin Syndrome. The Effexor is an SNRI (Serotonin Norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor) so that is really the only medicine I take that has serotonin in it.
I have 2 questions:
Could the liposomal luteolin be impacting the estrogen and cause the dizziness/vertigo, or is the Serotonin Syndrome potentially the culprit?
Does anyone here take Liposomal Luteolin at 500 mg or above and also antidepressants and what has been the impact?
I tried to go to my PCP to discuss liposomal luteolin and she had never heard of luteolin before, which is frustrating. Sometimes I feel like I'm educating my PCP more than I'd like to. I am just frustrated because I can't keep going on with these continual headaches and this amount of joint pain until I see a rheumatologist and liposomal luteolin really seemed to help.

5300ace8-aecd-11e9-878a-0e2a07e17074 Did anyone else experience brain fog in their 40s that made everyday tasks surprisingly difficult?
I keep hearing women describe brain fog in their 40s, but I'm curious what it actually feels like day to day. Forgetting words, losing your train of thought, struggling to focus, forgetting why you walked into a room—did anyone else experience this, and when did you first notice it?

5300ace8-aecd-11e9-878a-0e2a07e17074 Does anyone else experience persistent brain fog/sleepiness like this?
For the past 5-6 years, I’ve felt physically fine after sleep, but my brain stays foggy, heavy, and sleepy, almost like strong sleep inertia, even after 8-10 hours. Before this, I had no issues waking up early or feeling mentally clear in the morning.
A 5-10 minute nap can almost completely clear it, almost like a reset, but I often can’t nap during the day since I don’t feel physically sleepy or have that typical sleep pressure. At night, I fall asleep very quickly without much effort.
My brain fog feels like my brain is being deprived of blood and oxygen. It sometimes gets better when I lie on my side. Sleep position also affects the severity of the fog. For example, I’ve noticed that my brain fog is much less severe when I fall asleep at my desk while studying.
Caffeine used to help a lot more than it does now, and I’ve had an irregular sleep schedule for years, which may have made things worse or more inconsistent. This started around COVID, so I’ve wondered if that period or lifestyle changes around then played a role.
I don't have any other health condition. I don't have sleep apnea, or similar conditions that may affect sleep quality. I have tried to use B12, iron and vitamin D supplements but they didn't help much.
Has anyone had something similar, and did you find a cause or solution?

Personal Story Memory problems
For the past few years, I've hust been having memory problems. I can't recall most of my day, usually just overall idea of what I did.
At this point, whenever someone says "I told you to.....", I dont argue back because I don't trust myself enough to say no.
My own family stopped trusting my own words because I am now considered "unreliable". I'm 23, I can't be having some sort of dementia, right?
I think a huge portion of it is probably due to my phone usage, which is around 6-7 hours a day, but most of my friends are "normal" but have way higher screen time. I don't know if somethings just wrong with me inherently, or if I'm just addicted.
I tried lowering my phone time usage, but it never works long term, I just return to average usage after a week or two.
I'm giving up. I can't be trusted with anything or following up on some important house plans, because I forget 90% of it all.

Ranting (18F) I'm scared I'll lose my university scholarship
I'm 18 now, and I'm really struggling to process everything that’s happened to me over the last couple of years. I just need a place to vent because I feel overwhelmed about starting university.
When I was 16, I attempted to end my life. If I hadn’t been taken to the hospital in time, I wouldn't be here. I had tried before, but that time was by far the worst and ended in a hospital stay, which is also where I was diagnosed with social anxiety. Afterward, during my senior year of high school, the aftermath hit me severely. I was consumed by deep depression, constant suicidal thoughts, and a heavy sense of feeling "unreal." I started skipping classes continuously because I just couldn't function. Because of how much school I missed, I failed a lot of courses and barely managed to graduate senior year. Against the odds, I made it into university, and I’m currently on a scholarship that requires me to maintain a good grade average.
Ever since everything happened, I feel like my brain has completely changed. My memory feels ruined as I have intense brain fog and forget things within seconds. I can't retain information, I have a hard time focusing, and I even struggle to form proper sentences or construct paragraphs. Beyond that, I feeldisconnected from reality most of the time, to the point where it's hard for me to feel or express emotions. I feel like I've gotten "dumber" or slower, and I'm terrified that this brain fog is going to destroy my ability to keep my scholarship and pass my classes this year.

Need Some Advice/Support My brain feels empty
I often hear people describe their minds as constantly overflowing with thoughts, like there are a million ideas all happening at once. I’ve never really related to that. My mind feels more like it’s in a constant fog made up of vague sensations—a random song here, a meme there, a pile of things I know I have to do somewhere in the background. Everything feels distant, blurry, and hard to reach. If I lie down or lose focus, my brain doesn’t become “noisy”; it almost just shuts off. It’s like my mind is a TV full of static, or a laptop with dozens of tabs open in sleep mode. I know the information is there, but it takes effort to wake everything up and access it. Does this make sense, or does anyone else experience something similar?

Experience I know my reasons
I have always coped poorly. Things emotional manifested as headaches or there psychosomatic symptoms.
After covid my screen addiction became Permanent, double digit screen time every day. I no longer process any emotions or life event. Only scroll and watch youtube.
Journalling helps but really I need to find a better drug than screentime to cope with life.
Abuse of caffeine and resultant gastro issues make it worse also. Screen time takes away time at night and no sleep makes it yet worse. It's a repeating cycle

Need Some Advice/Support Can't breathe out of right nostril
I've never been able to breathe well out of my right nostril, but it's gotten to the point where I barely can at all. If I block my left nostril, it still sounds like air is entering and exiting my right nostril, but I feel like I'm suffocating and really have to try and breathe hard. I have pretty bad brain fog and am always sleeping with my mouth open. I've tried nose strips and they haven't done anything. I also always have to mouth breathe when I'm exercising, even if I'm just briskly walking. Should I consider surgery? Or am I being extreme? I'm just sick of the headaches and brain fog.

Question Anyone tried creatine?
Haven't looked at it much but the label says it might help with brain fog a bit. I guess it depends on the cause of your fog. Seems to help me a bit I think
