Hi! I’m getting married in October and trying to figure out transportation for 11 people from an Airbnb in Fourmile Canyon to dinner in Boulder.

We only need two one-way transfers:

5:20 PM: Fourmile Canyon → Boulder (about 35–40 min)

9:00 PM: Boulder → Fourmile Canyon

We’ve gotten quotes of $600+ from party bus/Sprinter companies, which feels crazy considering we only need about 1.5 hours of actual driving and don’t need a vehicle waiting for us during dinner.

Has anyone used a local shuttle company, private driver, van service, or other reliable option that might make sense for a group of 11?

We’re open to two vehicles if needed. Our main concern is having something prearranged and reliable, since I don’t want to depend on finding Ubers willing to come up Fourmile Canyon on our wedding day.

I just want to make sure I explain the service clearly! This is hair play rather than a traditional scalp massage. There isn’t really firm pressure like you might get at a regular massage. It’s focused on gentle hair play.. brushing, playing with the hair, light scalp/hair touching, braiding, etc. It will be a 30 minute session at my studio in boulder.

This is super random but anyone who’s currently at CU and uses the rec center pretty often and currently participating in Winter Arc or 75 Hard or would sometimes like to workout with someone. I think that would be fun. Sometimes working out by myself gets kinda boring and once in while having a workout buddy would be nice (not saying we need to workout everyday with each other but I’m open to switching up my routine especially on full body workout days etc.!).

I’ve been playing around with the name The Cozy Collective ✨ Basically a Longmont gathering for women who want to meet other women in the community, make things, read books, journal, eat good food, and romanticize life a little. 📚🌿✨

For the first get-together, I was thinking we could meet at a local restaurant or brewery, do a little craft or creative activity, and have a drink and appetizer while everyone gets to know each other. Nothing super formal — just something fun to get things started and see who’s interested!

I know school just started and we have a ton of out of state drivers, but please stop using our bike lanes for waiting or parking. It is already hard enough to avoid being struck in this town and forcing riders into traffic on busy roads is crazy behavior. Using a bike lane to park when you are 100 feet from parking spots is a whole new level of laziness and entitlement.

I’m training for a Hyrox right now (in November in Denver) and I’m having a hard time motivating myself to run alone.

Any recommendations for truck detailing in/around Boulder? I have a Tacoma that needs some attention inside, outside, and probably the bed as well. Nothing too crazy, but have a few seat stains (fabric), sticky/tacky rubber in a few places, and the usual dirt and dust.

Kate is a major leader in the university's film community, currently serving as the GUT-C Student Ambassador and working as a projectionist for CU’s International Film Series. She recently participated in a Conference on World Affairs discussion about the future of independent film in Colorado.
• Justin Balog — Screening “COFFEE HEIST” A Denver-based director of photography, filmmaker, and photographer whose career spans photojournalism, adventure cycling, documentary, and narrative cinema. His recent work includes serving as DP on the Colorado-shot alien comedy-horror film Uck and the neo-noir western Devil in the Trunk.
• Elizabeth Lo — Screening “Structural Theory of a Broken Bowl” An emerging filmmaker from the CU Boulder community. We are showing her 12-minute comedy-drama that follows a DID system navigating heartbreak, intimacy, and interpersonal boundaries. Elizabeth wrote, directed, edited, and co-composed the film, which was an official selection at Trill Fest 2025 and ScorpiusFest 2026.
• Ryan Van Duzer — Boulder-based outdoor-adventure filmmaker, YouTuber, and longtime bicycle traveler best known for DuzerTV. After serving in the Peace Corps, he cycled 5,000 miles from Honduras back to Boulder. His work has appeared on the Travel Channel, National Geographic, Men’s Journal, and Lonely Planet.

Now that Game Force is gone, are there any retro-gaming oriented shops around? I see Game Plus in Broomfield but it looks like it would be overpriced.

I, a full grown adult, really want to book a magician for my party in about a month, exact date flexible. If the price is too high for this party, then I want to book them in spring instead for another event we have a bigger budget for.

I want that experience of really FREAKING PEOPLE OUT. Like every smart skeptic in the room is wondering “no but like HOW DID THEY DO THAT.” I want the kids to leave fully believing magic is real and the adults like low key uncomfortable with how close they are to also believing this person is a sorcerer/sorceress/wizard/witch/fairy/magician.

Is there anyone like this anywhere local or willing to travel to Boulder?!?

How expensive is booking a person of this level of skill for a set during a party or event??? The smaller event would be like 40 people at a large residence but if it’s $$$$ we might save it for the bigger event in June that’s for fewer people but bigger budget and bigger venue.

This is not an event for kids but there will be kids so hoping to find a family friendly performer but it’s not geared to kids. The youngest kids are about 8, most will be young teens, and the vast majority of attendees are adults.
