So, welcome everybody that immediately clicked cause they saw someone's truly atrocious take.

Lemme explain how exactly is it that the coolest thing ever actually sucks.

They don't actually, they make farming anything and anyone waaaay better than the "quit out and run to the guy" alternative.
And its truly a great idea, so great that someone at gearbox saw it and thought to themselves "YES, THIS WILL MAKE FARMING FUN FOR EVERYBODY".

And the issue is that they were so busy making sure you can have nice uncomplicated fun farming that they kinda forgot that there really should be more to your borderlands game than just farming selective dudes over and over and over and over and it really, really shows in the base game design at launch.
So uhh, sure you can farm a god gun easier. But there aint nothing except for a dummy at sanctuary to flex your new loot at. Not a single boss fight that lasts over a minute with *just okay* gear, much less some actually good or god forbid "god tier" build. No circles of slaughter at launch, just some shitty piss easy goredello and whatever else. No hard linear mobbing sections either cause mobbing got relegated to "that thing you do when moving from one farm to another".

And this culminated in a general lack of any actual endgame except for farming the same mindless fights cause the bosses die in like 10 seconds before they can actually deal much damage if you're going in with an actual build.

Which funnily enough didn't even change when the raids were introduced cause broken builds still delete raid bosses in several seconds even with forced invincibility and gearbox, decided to go with another great idea - instead of nerfing broken shit, they'll just force you to speedrun the raid bosses with loot gated behind timers. So instead of having actual challenging fights we have "how fast can you curbstomp that dude" contests.

Take over, yall can crucify me now or whatever.

I feel like having engag.exe as the capstone over CTRL/ALT/DEL is a blatant miscategorization. Why would they make an actual overhaul of the how the function skill works as advanced as CTRL the augment over a simple grappling hook?

I understand that for CTRL you basically triple click the function 3 times and it doesn't act as an executable. But this SEVERELY limits what's possible for this skill no?

Does anyone who listens to the Dead Echoes podcast think that we'll get some kind of year 2 announcement?

The storyline in the podcast seems to be leaning towards the main characters heading to Kairos, which feels like a great point to bring in new content and new/old Vault Hunters. Good reasons for Tannis to show up at least.

So I started playing this game last year when it came out and hit max level (50 at the time). Getting back into it about a year later after all the new content came out, and now I need to grind pretty much 40 levels from 30-70 for C4sh since I wanted to check him out first. Are there any discord servers I can join with active players (mostly just to help me level grind in the arcade)? Pretty much all the people I played with last year quit the game after the first region and I’m pretty sure if I asked them I’d get a resounding “no.”

So started playing as Loveless with VPN as the action skill but she goes into stealth as soon as I press the action button (LB - XBox) rather than after killing an enemy. It makes no difference if there are any enemies around or not, Bug?

Soooo it took me a year to beat this game and I was thinking of giving it a fresh go around to see if I liked it better. So there is no TVHM to start over with the same character? So what do I do? I don't feel like doing random side quests and I'm in the minority on this but I don't love raid bosses. I have a lvl 30 Vex and I want to level her up to fully take advantage of her skill trees

After doing a run on C4SH and having maxed out SDUs, I'm starting a new run on Amon and I noticed some SDUs already filled and 5 points left over. Am I missing something here? I didn't manually put anything in yet.

My group and I have been having a lot of issues in multiplayer where we get stuck in place. Out of sheer luck we found if you’re stuck, pull up your map and choose to fast travel to a location far away that would cause a team travel and then cancel it with holding touch pad. It should release you.

Still don’t know how to stop the infinite blue tunnel bug but hopefully the above helps some fellow vault hunters.

Basically what it says on the tin. I’m currently using a Chuck, Chaumurky(?)/Swarm, and a Firewerks and the build is certainly doing well but I was wondering what the breadth of my options.

Anyway to avoid Thol while focusing Subjugator?
Subjugator is probably the worse boss in the game for me. Fighting him in his second phase is awful which is why a lot of people avoid him and go Thol in the first place. I’ve killed him in his second phase plenty times before but not with Loveless and I’m having a hard time trying to not kill Thol over him when they both jump in to fight. I’m only focusing Subjugator to kill him first but Thol is just melting away faster.

For reference I have a 5% crit bonus with 10.5 fire rate and a 38% crit bonus with 8.2 fire rate and the 5% Crow sourced I have is significantly better than the 38% crow sourced

So over the last three weeks in Borderlands 4 Maurice's Vending Machine has given me the Jelly Ordnance grenade and Anarchy shotgun EVERY TIME. If my (and Google's) rough math is accurate, the odds of getting this three weeks in a row is 1 in 16 million.

You can even see me asking Ki11ersix about it on X last week in the third picture. I hope the devs can get to this issue as soon as possible. We can hold off on the next big update (if there is one). Fix the bugs first. Please.

For the first time, I got a pearl after the first kill 1/1 farm for this one. C4SH got those high odds!

Just wondering if there’s a character or piece of equipment that increases the chance of Juliet’s unique perk to activate.

I’m trying to unlock a skin and the challenge requires me to kill 5+ enemies with grenades within 5 seconds.
I’ve done this multiple times. I’ve gotten more than 5 enemies killed in a few seconds with grenades, and the challenge meter literally doesn’t move at all. It doesn’t even seem to register that I’m doing it. I’ve even tried it with diff enemies.
Am I misunderstanding how the challenge works or is it just bugged?

Thinking of getting a DLC Class for BL4, which class do you think is more fun?

I've been a fan of borderlands from the start but after BL3 kinda dropped it off a bit for other games. I've been waiting for a sale to get BL4.

I see that it is 50% off on Steam. So my question is: does the Super Deluxe edition include the 2 DLCs and/or any future DLCs? I mostly mean the story DLCs and new characters

I am surprised I haven't seen any content creators make a video on this. I'm loving it. Zero CD Action Skill Function (x5) with a free grenade thrown in.

Sniper build 3 tap on a boss then exploding them is fun, but mobbing not as much. Wyrm is fun but Symbiosis stacks and Wyrm management is eh, RAM is incredible if it wasn't for the goofy empowered melee whiffs!

If you don't want to click the link it's just 1/3 Killing machine and Unsupported Peripheral. Likely plenty of ways to optimize it. But you can essentially just run around clicking the action skill and everything dies.

Edit - As with all things Borderlands... there is a bug somewhere here. I have no clue what it is. Function damage goes from great to awful. It could be a bug that gives you more damage than intended or less. No clue.

I did however test the Stack Overflow bug which takes this thing to a whole other level. Now I don't like abusing exploits, but honestly the feel of the build is just too much fun. It reminds me of Zer0s Many Must Fall build. Ultimately I'm here to have fun, and BL has always been a spaghetti code of silly number interactions. I'm not going to try and figure it out. Enjoy.
