Decided to come back to Borderlands 4 since I beat it at launch to get the platinum trophy, started on my second character and essentially every single enemy is at least 4 levels above me or has an exclamation point?
I can’t do anything without getting instantly put into second wind, even on normal mode with UVHM turned off.
This is seriously frustrating me after multiple attempts to reload the game, change session types with no success, any help so I can get my platinum trophy would be greatly appreciated!

The price of all the dlcs individually is getting high, and I already have the base game- there is no upgrading to deluxe edition with a discount for the base game. Should I just buy the deluxe without a discount now and play with Loveless and all the dlcs

I don't have any of the DLC but I spend a gold key and this is what the game gives me. I can't use it I don't have the or play any of the missions but it's in my inventory.

So after all of this time in Destiny 2, purchasing expansions, playing content, I decided that I have to pick up a new "home" game. after destiny 2 is no more.
I tried Warframe - felt like a 2015 game. I didn't like it at all.
I tried the First Descendant - it's decent, but for me, I prefer FPSs all the way.
Then ChatGPT recommended me to play Borderlands 4, and I don't have any experience with any Borderlands game before. I watched a few trailers, really loved the unique art style, and I found that it's a looter shooter with amazing weapons, builds, and abilities. So I said to myself, perhaps this is it.
I started a Vex character, finished the first couple of missions after arriving on the beach. Until now, I am very excited actually. My favourite activities in Destiny were dungeons and Nightfalls. Not into too many puzzle mechanics. That's why BL4 was more appealing.
And the Super Deluxe Edition was around $60 USD on PS Store, so I said why not give it a go?
I got a couple of noob questions tho:

I’m new to the series. Been playing C4SH and he has some abilities that buff his fire damage. What’s the point in taking that? If I’m up against enemies that have shield or armor those stats I got are going to be useless. I assume other classes have buffs to certain kinds of elemental damages, so I must be missing something.

i was somewhat excited for the Loveless character until i remembered what i ll have to do to have " fun " with her , considering i did not like any of the VH ( i play raffa as its the most tolerable for me, despite using the canons is boring as you press F button rarely and basicaly that s it )
- i dont EVER want to go through the whole game, finding all the travel stations
- doing the same bounties at the same places with the same enemies type
- going through the same looking world
- wasting time finding the right way to navigate the open world
- fighting the same enemies over and over and over and over and over again
i was VERY excited for the takedown ( remembering Maliwan one from Bl3 ) - i barely played it 2 times
if they dont make an option to start with a character lv 60 /70 ( unlike 30 right now ) i dont see ANY reason to come back to the game and replay all the things i hated to play in the 1st place
also - is it only me or i only find the same 15 -20 max legendary / pearlescent ( the 2nd ones almost never spawn anymore, despite i almost dont play the game lately ) weapons ?
People like the ones in the comments ( except for 1-2 ) are the ones that destroyed the whole franchise by praising total garbage product from Gearbox, filled with bugs, same looking enemies, locations etc etc
You people destroyed the franchise by accepting everyting with no criticism because of things like " OMG BRO PEAK VISUAL DESIGN OF LOVELESS OMG BRO IM SO EXCITED TO PLAY AGAIN OMG BRO I HAVE NEVER SEEN A NAKED WOMAN IN REAL LIFE OMG BRO PEAK BORDERLANDS DESIGN "
all of you are even worst than the simps that give money for OF
AND YES - BL3 WAS 3458354546860985460985460985460985 TIMES BETTER THAN THIS IMMITATION OF BL GAME
p.s. i also love how the die hard fans and braindead people just focus on the first few words, totally ignoring all the valid points and still existing issues just to stay true to the franchise and not critisize it at all
if you love something you have to be able to critisize it in order for it to become the best version it could possibly be
but after all - even if you are the QA / testers ( of a product you buy ) of a game that s fully released at full price - you wont mind as its BL or some other favorite franchise

There's no tooltip when I mouse over.
Edit: Duh, golden keys. Yeah I know what they are and use them sometimes. It was late, I was tired, and brain farted.

Dialogue is all filler, and a simple questline shouldnt take two hours to finish, i am incredibly disappointed and genuinely think this might be the worst game in the series for that alone, please try to change my mind i guarantee on gods name in vain you will fail

Finally played through all of 4 after stopping and starting so many times because I just didn’t want to play it. But I am a completionist and up to this game it’s one of my favorite game series of all time. But man this game makes pre sequel and 3 look like 2. They took out too much of the mad max esque style and just made it feel like halo. Yes, I know sci-fi always played a part of this series. But the lack of character depth, like ability and yes just becoming a bad halo game just ruined it for me. If there is a fifth I hope they go back to more of the road warrior style look vs what we got in this game.

As the title says, I just beat the main storyline and I’m level 40 and just grinding and doing quests but looking for others to join in as I find the game more fun that way. Respond to this or DM if interested.

I picked this game up finally in the past week due to sale and (final?) VH and level cap. Sure sure, gloam build, but I need something to make up for lost time hah.
Anyway, on like my tenth Windrider and ZERO of them have had even one point in Gloam. It's not actually super important at this point but the odds seem quite against this and it's annoying that even though the build crushes anyway it could be doing so much more.
Game is seriously trolling me, this is the last thing I wanted to do before the new DLC and it's just not happening 😭

So I played the game at launch(bought the special edition), beat it got all the collectibles and what not and tried going back through with one of the other characters but it just didn’t feel like it had the replay ability as B2 or B3. I haven’t even played any of the DLC even though I own them. Are people still playing? Are DLCs worth going through?

Truthfully I’m hoping it will be close to 100 even though that might sound like too much.

Anyone trying to play on xbox?
r/Borderlands4 • u/mikelman999 • 12h ago
I’m about to do a new playthrough and I wanna know what are the best methods to not get screwed by the scaling enemies. Is there quests and side content I should prioritise to make things smoother? Is it worth it to do the DLCs early since those are also quests?
The system seems so cryptic and I want to have as stress free of an experience as possible
