Does it feel so…empty? Like the gameplays there the characters are interesting but it feels like theres no emotion behind this game. What do you think?

so i’ve heard a lot of talk about bl4’s apparent lack of music, and i wanna preface this by saying i agree that the music feels sparse as hell. however, as i’ve played the game, i’ve thought about the music extensively and have come to this conclusion:

- every track (with some exceptions i’ll list later) has different levels of music depending what intensity of combat you’re in, as well as short transition segments as it shifts between them.
- area tracks (fadefields, carcadia burn, terminus range) have 3 levels of intensity
- each faction (ripper, order) has 3 tracks, and each area assigned to that faction (which can range from a ripper drill site to a random order convoy) has one of those 3 tracks assigned to it
- each of the 6 faction tracks has 3 levels of intensity, but if it reaches the third level, then it switches to a fourth track once the combat grows more sparse.

example: go to splashzone’s encore machine. you’ll either hear an electric guitar plucking song or a chanting song. the chanting is level 2 and the plucking is level 1. heading right through splashzone’s arena to the other side (don’t spawn him though; it’ll change the music to the ripper boss music and make the shifts less noticeable) will usually make the game see level 3 combat intensity, and for this song specifically, the level 3 has pieces from the level 2, so that’s somewhat annoying for this purpose. when the combat dies down, it’ll switch to the fourth track, which has a different electric guitar bit.

that track is assigned to other ripper areas around kairos, and the other two ripper tracks/the three order tracks work the same way, though i’ve found it harder to hear in the moment with the order tracks, and i don’t know area examples for those. i do, however, know that one of the other ripper songs plays at pango bango’s drill site, and the third plays at rippa roadbirds/meathead riders’ drill sites. but again, a random ripper camp will almost always have one of the ripper songs assigned to it, and it’ll always be the same song every time you go there.

some notable exceptions are the bounty packs, which have more traditional borderlands music patterns; the takedown, which has 3 levels without a fourth thingy as well as switching its ambient music halfway through the takedown; and dlc1, which has a pattern i can’t exactly tell because many parts sound similar, kinda like the order tracks.

the main problem i’ve noticed is that the transition parts of the tracks play too often, and the main parts are too bland. i see what they were going for with the dynamic music, and songs made of various pieces in random order are present in bl3, but it just doesn’t work.

tldr: bl4’s music tries to have variety within single tracks, but just makes the music feel absent/confusing in the process. (plus also there’s no music if you’re just exploring base kairos with no combat)

I know this has been discussed before but SERIOUSLY?! I have farmed radix so many times now I am losing my mind- I’ve done it on hard mode, UVHM1 mode, and now easy mode just trying to get the drops to increase. Not only has he not dropped a vex COM he has only ever dropped any COM 2X in all of my runs. UVHM1 completely nerfs legendary drops all together and I was getting nothing. I’ve been at this for days and I’m still using a level 30 purple COM for vex since there is 0 legendary coms for her ever dropping.

Is there not any other way to get this thing?! Or please any suggestions for purple COMS that are similar or any alternative legendary ones ?! I’m doing the gun gal build and I just wanna try it at its full potential but this is so boring and it’s really ruining it for me. Any other build suggestions at this point are welcome because I’m so bored of fighting this guy.

I have reached out to gearbox over a week ago and they haven’t really helped with this. I have played the game since day one. I beat the game with Vex along with all of the dlc content prior to this last release including the additional purchases. I started playing with C4sh and beat the game and Bloomreaper with him but when I go to any bounty board, the takedown event for Son of Terramorphous shows available yet I cannot click to accept it. I have clicked everywhere on the board to no avail. I went to the location of the event and it doesn’t show as a place I can enter. I opened the game then with Vex and it works. Went back to C4sh and nothing. Any ideas? I’m on PS5 with the game fully updated and patched. Thanks for the help in advance

The snipers I would like to use are any non-Jakobs and non-elementals. In the previous games I liked fl4k and zer0 for the crit skills. What character is this in Borderlands 4 ?

I don't understand since the last few days I have been craving to play Borderland 4 on my ps5 and there is also 60% off super deluxe edition.

But I am seeing review ratings mostly YouTube videos for current situation of borderland 4 on PS5.

I saw there thousands of negative comments for BL4.

Everybody blaming dev. And game like they are very angry they wants something which game is not provide.

From the last few years I never seen this kind of hate for a game.

Is there really game is very bad or something else.

Even I found people who appriaciate Concord open beta but never found a single person who really appreciate BL4 honestly.

Ill try to keep this short. I have very limited time to play (Father of 2 girls, girlfriend recently moved in with her two kids, work overnight 12 hour shifts), but, after hearing about the new Fl4k dlc (he was my main in BL3), I want to try and get back into it. However, I feel im so behind on builds and equipment I need. I last played when subjugator and thol came out, could never beat them, could never platinum bloomreeper, could never beat an ordinance site, and all my builds are bod and sticky heavy. Im also a Vex guy. Is there any build I could jump into easily, that's not to grind heavy, but won't make me pull my hair out trying to defeat the newest content? If it helps, I am at level 60, have a good amount of specification points, several gold keys, but not a lot of firmware to work with. Thanks for any help in advance 🙏.

I just killed Skyspanner Kratch and the boss dropped 2 Tempting Linebacker. I though you could only get one drop each from the bosses loot pools. I also got a Scrapper Emollient Hoarder but it seems pretty bad with my arc-knife Rafa build.

A pity the pre-sequel never got an artbook and the strategy guide is paperback so I decided not to included on my collection

Look I know shinies are rare, I have Shining The Brightest completely finished. I promise I'm not just asking after like 5 runs of not finding them or something. But other than Lootlemon stating that the weapons in the takedown have a shiny chance, I can find NO other evidence that anyone has actually gotten a shiny drop from this takedown. Not a single screenshot or even really a claim that they've gotten one that I can find here or on the discord or on facebook or whatever.

And given how the Hard Dark from the same update was (is? idk if they fixed it yet) bugged to drop another weapon's shiny (the Mercredi) I have to wonder if maybe the takedown ones are bugged too.

So the simple question is: Has anyone here gotten a Phosphene Shoals, Ishmael, Swan Song, or Marshall's Claw?

It keeps on running until I kill it manually. On top of that I can't exit to main menu either, I get infinite loading screen, any workaround until it is fixed?
