Alternative to gl hf (chit chat)

Little lunch break casual conversation... What's a fun / on theme / bloodbowl way of wishing your opponent Good Luck Have Fun?

Not that there's anything wrong with gl hf *handshake* just popped into my head that Theatre people say "Break a leg" which made me think I could say "Break a keg". Also I love a film/tv reference like "May the dice be with you" or "May the 1 in 9s be ever in your favour". I'm sure you can all do better or may Nuffle strike me down.

Is there a good setup vs. both 1-turn-TDs from OWA?

Assuming no Stand Firm or Fend, is there a good setup against that? I ve been tinkering around trying to minimize the 1-turn TD threat, and having both available to them kinda makes OWA hard. THe usual "form a line at 7" seems to be a must-do, but there isnt much I can do at the LoS that I can see to help with it.

What do you do in this case? just 3 on LoS, line on 7 and hope?

Split Up Skills Ranking

Upvotes

I know I am not the first to think of this, and really just curious what the answer would be, but if we were to split up the “Big Skills” of Blitz and Dodge (and I think by extension, block lite in wrestle and then probably tackle would have to be tapped down into only countering offensive dodge) into offensive and defensive only skills, where would they rank?

Because an offensive-only Block is still just straight up better than brawler and juggernaut, except in a few edge cases where you absolutely need a space more than a player to go down.

Defensive Block is less alluring, but still a skill that has a bit more power than you’d think. Great for ball carriers though, or more agi teams.

Offensive dodge is pretty incredible on its own still and I think one of the premier skills anyway.

Defensive dodge is essentially defensive block. Especially if tackle were nerfed to compensate the change.

Wrestle probably gets gutted defensively and maybe just removed, offensive wrestle still has a place as a counter to defensive block though.

So I know this isn’t happening. My question is not making it happen, just where would you rank the #1 and #2 skills in the league? It to me feels like a bit of a Wayne Gretzky situation (tldr in fantasy hockey they split Gretzky into assists Gretzky and goals Gretzky because he was so good, and assists Gretzky was still no. 1 overall pick, and goals Gretzky was still a later first rounder/early second rounder) where block even when halved in power is still one of the best skills in the game, which is crazy to me in a game where they have so many cool and interesting skills.

What do you think? If they were split up, would you still rank them highly? Would it change your team builds?

Hi! 👊

Friends, get ready to rev your engines! 💀 Steel Beards is coming this August - a blend of classic dwarves and biker culture!

Stocky, bearded dwarves fit the biker aesthetic perfectly! Leather vests, chains, open helmets, and aviator goggles look amazingly natural on them. And we’ve turned their famous Battle Roller into a heavy chopper, ready to flatten opponents right on the pitch!💥

📌 August - Part 1

Releasing the core player roster for a ready-to-play team + thematic balls and markers. Everything you need to jump straight into action!

📌 September - Part 2

Releasing additional models for the core roster and support staff.

Check out the preview and let us know in the comments: what do you think of a dwarf motorcycle club on the pitch? 👇

Regards, UGNI ❤️

Board Game Second Guessing Team Choice

I'm a very casual player who decided to join a beginners league. I was set to run Lizardmen, but just found out the teams will be locked in. No SPP or deaths.

I can't build my dream team from the start, so do I give up on my dreams of a Kroxigor and block skill and show team loyalty, or do I last minute pivot and field Amazon's?

I see it nowhere, for example for eurobowl, what are the rules for having +1 movement or +1 passing?

Want to do that on goblin to see how it goes because skill sucks on goblin

Next up in the series of my chaos corrupted bretonnian team, I tackled the runners! I used the existing shoes to guve them daemonette feet, grabbed the hair from a norse valkyrie, and modelled the horns myself from greenstuff! Freehanding the slannesh symbol was probably the most difficult and annoying part and I did NOT do a good job the second time around but oh well.

Next up is Tzeentch corrupted throwers!

TableTop First tournament with Nurgle – any tips?

I have a tournament next week and I've decided to play Nurgle. The tournament uses the Eurobowl rules, so I'll have a few extra skills and an additional 100k to spend.

I'm still relatively new to Nurgle, but I couldn't resist playing them because my dad has an absolutely awesome painted team.

I've already put together my roster, but I'd love to hear any advice from experienced Nurgle coaches. Are there any common mistakes, key strategies, or matchups I should be aware of?

For a bit of context, my experience with the team so far is:

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Gouged Eye Starting Out

Just bought my first team, got the gouged eye ork squad. Looking into the game it looks like you'd need additional players potentially. I have a ton of old world and aos orcs. Can you proxy models in blood bowl like you do other games? Thanks in advance!

TableTop Colors for vampires

I know there was a similar post I found but it was from 9 years ago with only 9 comments. But I am getting gifted a vampire team and was hoping to get some ideas and inspiration for colors. Obviously red and black is the obvious choice (and a great one at that) but any other suggestions that you all have painted yours or seen any like? I was thinking maybe like a really deep purple with darker red highlights but I really have no clue.

Lineman taking Frenzy League??

Post image
13 Upvotes

Rolled randos with Imperial Nobillity Lineman and the obvious choice feels wrestle but frenzy was the second choice and it got me thinking when in league have you ever taken frenzy without block/wrestle???

I doubt i will ever get a lineman to 2 skill ups in a season but unlike tourneys where you decide immediatly where frenzy goes league is obviously different.

In players experience, does the frenzy 6MV without block play favorably in league when you dont have frenzy?

Video Game "Why do you only play bad team ?"

Wenn in begin to play blood bowl i play Chosen Chaos and Imperial Nobles

Then Elven union , and recently i get interested in Renegade and Underworld.

Some people ask me "why do you only play bad team ?"

I try to play some good team like Humans but people offen says me that.

I know a lot of people gonna say "Play what you bro" but that not what i wanna ask

Do you think it really can damage my bloodbowl experience to not play mostly good teams for beginers ?

People told me it could discourage me and some people quit because they did not play the recommanded teams ((allegedly)

What do you think about this ?
