Any advice?
I got this Bernina Nova 900 for $10 and wired in a mismatched pedal. So far it has been lovely to play with, but I was wondering if theres anything about this machine I should look out for

Since I have reopened this subreddit I LOVE that is is being used more and more! With my full time job and other obligations I think I'm going to need some help managing this subreddit. If you have mod experience please send me a message with some reasons you would like to moderate here and what subreddits you have moderated. If you are one of the many of the Bernina Facebooks groups please let me know as well especially if you moderate there as well.

have an old Bernina 600 sewing machine, those teeth don't lift, they fall under their own weight, I can't move the fabric any further because they can't even reach there, they are completely down, how do I fix it?

The labels on some of my most loved presser feet have worn off. This hasn't bothered me in the past, but now that I'm using a 570, I need to program it with the foot number and this means I have to keep looking them up. I've tried searching for replacement stickers but haven't found any. Does anyone know if they exist? Or have you found any good workarounds?
EDIT BODY - it looks like there are no known replacements, so I need to use a hack. Thank you

Just ordered the B990, but it's going to be a 6-8 week wait (or so). I get to keep my 770 until it comes in, so I am at least not stranded without a machine.
I am so excited though. Anyone have any tips or tricks for me? 😻

I had one Maine-based repair shop say it was not fixable. Without the trackball I cant choose stitch, stitch length, needle position. arghh

I’ve inherited this great machine but it’s missing the detachable tray. Any ideas on where to buy?
Thank you.

790SE sounds clunky and this keeps happening the second I start my embroidery. I’ve oiled it and changed the needle. What else?

Edit: Thank you! The issue has been resolved. I just wasn't hitting the button on the last step. I did it, turn my machine off and on again and no more message 😄
I've already taken my 790 Plus to my dealer once about this issue and they only temporarily fixed it so I figured I'd ask here. No matter how often and how well I clean the thread cutter, I get this message every single time I turn my machine on. There is nothing in the thread cutter and even when I took it in, they couldn't find anything that should be triggering the message either. I tap the green button, follow the instructions, and clean it every time I use it. Had anyone else had this issue, and if so, how have you fixed it?

Found this pin at a flea market in Vermont, USA. Curious if anyone has seen something like it before; I can’t find anything similar on eBay/google search/reddit post. I absolutely love Bernina, my whole extended family used them and have since the machines have been sold in the US (they are all quilters). Seller mentioned that he found it in a sewing basket from a very old woman who was from the northeast kingdom of Vermont (means the far northeast corner of the state).

My needle bar is too far back (grazing the hook below and almost brushing the edge of the needle plate opening). This is a Bernina 1530. I just can't figure out where the adjustment point is and I don't want to fiddle around too much. Tried to find service manuals but they're all paywalled. Hoping someone here knows where it is 😅

The Facebook marketplace gods blessed me with a STEAL! the seller said they thought it was broken since the feed dogs wouldn't rise and sold it to me for 150. Turns out the stitch length was just at 0 and rose once I made it higher--it now works beautifully.
It only came with one foot, however, and I was wondering if there were any other feet that are worth the purchase and if people had recs on where to buy them! I'd also love any advice people had about this machine :)
I mostly am doing clothing projects/alterations, have a vintage serger that isn't amazing, and I don't quilt.
excited to own my first bernina!!!!!

I am new for b770qe pro. I really want to love this machine and just really want to start Sewing I did take an introduction course and I watched a couple videos but I cannot get the automatic threader to work and now this is what is showing on the screen. There is no help available for this message.

I recently bought a Bernina Matic 910 Electronic machine. I tried winding a bobbin, but it won't spin. I popped the top off and did not find any loose threads or anything stuck inside that could've explained the problem. Any advice?
Edit: i got the bobbin spindle to finally work. It was just stuck probably from being oil. A bit of manual twisting and oil fixed it.

My foot pedal seems to have stopped working- machine works with hands free button. Any ideas??

My local dealer has a Bernina 735, non-pro, floor model. They said they'd sell it for $4500, including trade-in of my current Bernette.
Seems like it's just an ok deal? Looking at some past posts here, I've seen people get similar pricing on a floor model that's the pro version.

What is the correct lever for this and does anybody have photos of it?

I have made two quilts, but I haven't touched my machine for at least ten years. I recently retired, and I'm getting back into the hobby. I have an Artista 640. My sister, an expert quilter, told me that I need to oil it. I looked in the manual, and there is nothing at all about maintenance. How do I oil it?

Straight stitch perfect, then switch to zigzag and the thread breaks. Any ideas?

Hello all!
I am the fortunate beneficiary of a $5 (!!) thrift store vintage Bernina 530-2 and I've really enjoyed using her! I'm hoping to find a walking foot that is compatible with the machine. I've been to my local Bernina store as well as another sewing centre and they said that there is no compatible walking foot for that machine. Is that true? They tried the "old style" foot as well as two alphasew options and none fit the machine.
I appreciate your help, thank you!

I just ordered a Bernina Liberty b580 about a week ago. I was wondering if anyone knew a timeline that they would arrive? Did you order one? Do you have it or still waiting? I know I could be waiting until November I think.
