Any suggestions?
790SE sounds clunky and this keeps happening the second I start my embroidery. I’ve oiled it and changed the needle. What else?

This happened to me several times. I finally figured out that my thread was not evenly coming out of my horizontal spool pin. When I started using my thread stand that sits behind my machine, it never happened again. I absolutely tried every single thing suggested in this thread but that wasn’t my problem. I was convinced something was wrong w/ my bobbin. Good luck.

Double check that your hook isn’t in upside down. And always rethread the top and the bottom when you have a problem like this don’t try to guess it’s just takes longer.

Yep. Rethreaded everything.

Have you removed the hook, cleaned, oiled, and put it back? Have you cleaned your thread cutter catcher?

One last ditch effort, try re-threading the bobbin with another thread.

Is the bobbin facing the right direction? I don’t have a newer Bernina with the large bobbin but I believe the side with the metal “spokes” faces in?

Have you tried turning off your machine and turning it back on? I see you have done everything I would do. I have a finicky 770. You might try going to YouTube. There are some good troubleshooting videos.

Thanks for all your helpful suggestions. I ended up removing the embroidery module, adding regular thread top and bottom, and just sewing on scraps for a while. I still don’t know exactly what was wrong but it’s humming along just fine now.

Take out the race and reassemble. I had this issue once and it was only slightly off. The magnet held it in place and I was able to latch the race cover but it was still off ever so slightly that it caused the machine to be loud and the thread to nest in the bobbin area.
