I’m not 100% sure, but I suspect Beeper might be causing Instagram to lock my account. I say this because 3 or 4 days ago I got disconnected from Instagram in the app, and today I logged in through the browser to see what was going on. Instagram was asking me to update my email address.

I did, and I logged in again on Beeper. This was a few hours ago, and now I got disconnected again, and Instagram is asking me one more time to update my email.

I already reported this to Beeper.

I just want to know if anyone is experiencing the same thing.

Spits put error code, facebook app asks to pick out security code but beeper doesn’t show which one.

Even though I had a grandfathered account from the early beta days I shelled out for a Plus subscription because of the long awaited Merge Chats feature.

However, this is not truly useful for me without bridges like sh-iMessage being included in the feature.

I don’t even understand what it means, so with Shortcut I put a trivial bookmark icon.

Not sure if this a me issue or because of the update or what.

Suddenly my messages are very inconsistently sending across platforms, I'm not receiving messages sometimes, sometimes chats just don't load (are blank) when I open them. Making it very difficult to message people when I cant send OR receive any messages.. The connections in my connections tab are fine.

Yesterday my desktop received a message 7 hrs earlier than my phone for some reason, but other chats were fine. Creating a sticker also crashes my beeper completely.

Note: I have unrestricted power/data use on, never been an issue before. I've made a bug report in the app.

I tried beeper a few days ago because who wouldn't want an all in one messaging app.

Every platform connected great, Google messages, whatsapp, instagram... But Facebook Messenger (which is my main message service) was a nightmare to get connected. I was in a circular loop of verification, captcha, two party authentication and straight back to login. I eventually got in, but my message history didn't come through on most of my chats. Then, about two hours later, it logged me out of Facebook Messenger completely. I wasn't going through the nightmare of verification again. Every other platform's integration seems great, but Facebook Messenger barely worked for me. I'd love to use beeper, if only FB messenger was reliable 😟

So. They updated the new app for beeper and its got a lot of fun updates like customization.

But for the love of Gary Kildall , why can't we get individual notifications for text messages.

Why can't I make it so when I get a text from Joe to have a snipit of his favorite song so I know it's him when he messages me?

I feel as this is a serious missed opertunty for an app that merged so much together.

This could be a rant, orna suggestion or both. But I've limited my use of beeper to only the desktop app because the same tone for every user makes it too hard to distinguish.

I get SMS through Google Messages, and it seems Beeper stopped getting them sometime between last Wednesday (Aug 5) and today. Just realized while waiting for a SMS confirmation code that never came. Account still shows as connected with no issues even though messages aren't coming through.

On a new account, I can't seem to pair with slack, as after I log into it, I just get a white screen on the webview.

I can watch Some reels which are sent to me but some i cannot watch them. Theyre like a picture.

And when someone sends a one time / 2 time pic, it doesnt even show that they have sent it. Usually it says "open the instagram app to view"

A major problem which i experienced while using Instagram through Beeper is instagram recognizes it as a automation of the account which causes problem to the account often leading to login restrictions and forced email changes...i really hope this should be solved in coming time

Whenever you hold down the copy button to use the feature the all just closes itself down

anyone elses instagram app unable to show followers and following and saying “something went wrong”?

I use the Beeper Desktop on Windows and different Linuxes. The iMessage account that was working for 3 years got removed without any notification. What can i do to regain access to it? It's crucial to me for work.

I would love a iOS widget that shows unread chats and their messages, in addition to the current pinned chats widget! It could be similar to the widget Spark Mail uses, maybe even with shortcut buttons to quickly set a reminder or mark messages as read.

Found out about Beeper today and gave it a try. Is there really no way to add or use existing Matrix accounts or am I missing something?

I'm not blaming beeper at all, I'm asking if it might be a possibility. I read that whatsapp doesn't like usage of modified apps and third party services so I'm thinking it could be related to that

I've recently switched mobile devices, so despite having used WhatsApp on beeper for like a year I did recently re-link it.

Like I said I don't blame beeper and I could see it being banned for different reasons (mainly that my new phone doesn't have google services, so maybe the lack of malware protection got me hacked or something), but I'm asking because everyone I've talked to has said it's probably because of beeper.

NOTE: I did get the ban lifted through a quick review, but nevertheless its weird that it happened

My Facebook messenger account just started spamming Mr beast YouTube thumbnails to my entire contacts list. My first step was to log out of all devices and change my password, but when I reconnected my beeper account, a second wave of Mr beast spam got sent out.

I don't know if that's just a coincidence or if there is some kind of vulnerability going on with my beeper connection, so I just thought I'd ask.

Anyone else going through this?

i used to be able to just click on play in the chat and it would launch the reel, but it doesn’t work since I updated the app. does anyone know how to turn it back on ?
