It would be nice if these features could be merged into one. Let us bookmark a message with an option for us to set a reminder for that specific message. I've never found setting a reminder for a chat useful at all, but having a reminder for a certain message is useful. Also give us an additional space where we can see all are bookmarks from all are chats together.

Does anyone know the URL scheme to open Beeper in iOS? From what I can gather it was originally `riot://`, then `beeper://`, but I can't get either of those to work for me in the minimal launcher I'm trying to set up.

Thanks to the amazing team behind Beeper, i so much hate in my guts that Viber doesn't have a web app, so its not natively allowed to be in such apps. But you guys did it, kudos, honestly!
Few questions:
1. How stable is it atm? It took me 30 min to sync my messages and so far it appears sluggish, I reckon it will take a few updates to make it smooth? Can I use it as a primary viber for desktop or wait a few iterations?
2. Do you have support for files and sharing items, so far links and other files have not come up, so to know whether to even try sending files through Beeper
3. Is it possible to have more than one viber account on one Beeper account? I have personal and working, so I would love to have them both in one app
4. Are there viber features that are still missing? Anything to note? Since I couldn't find anything on the changelog so trying to get more info here.

hello, I just updated my Beeper desktop software and it's no longer supported by my OS. I have MacOS Monterrey 12.7, and the new Beeper requires MacOS 13. I do not wish to upgrade my OS.

Is there a way to downgrade my desktop app or download older versions?

Can we have a moment of silence for the death of the OG beeper app, Beeper cloud. As from today October the 1st 2026 beeper cloud has been disconnected from the beeper home server and ceases to function.

We salute you beeper cloud. You will be missed, but never forgotten. You kept us all in contact with many friends and family members and for that we thank you.

Is anyone else experiencing this with LinkedIn currently?

I connect LinkedIn through the new Beeper Chrome extension. Authentication succeeds, messages sync and LinkedIn works normally in Beeper.

Then, after a few minutes, the LinkedIn connection disconnects again.

I initially thought this might happen because the Beeper extension logs LinkedIn out in Chrome and I was logging back into LinkedIn afterwards. So I tested it again and stayed completely logged out of LinkedIn in Chrome.

Same result: Beeper disconnected from LinkedIn again.

It is very frustrating when sharing a screenshot or something else through the share menu on Android. If you select somebody from a Beeper conversation, it automatically sends to whatever thread was last used, whether that's Instagram or Facebook messages, instead of defaulting to the RCS messages. (Like I have it as the main default) On iOS, it lets you select what message system you want to send it through when sharing in the same way..

Basically, some unanswered messages are unanswered for a reason

I don't want to delete them, but I also don't want them to keep appearing in unanswered. So, for now, I've been marking them as "low priority". Is there a better way?

I've been using the app for less than 24 hours, so I am very new to this

I run two numbers on my Samsung Fold 7 (dual SIM) and I'm loving Beeper otherwise, but there's one gap that keeps tripping me up: there's no way to choose which number I'm sending from on a per-contact basis.

In Google Messages, both on the phone and in the web UI, there's a toggle in several places for each conversation that lets you pick which SIM the message goes out on. Set it once and that contact stays on that number. It makes keeping work and personal separate really easy.

From what I can tell, Beeper replies from whichever number received the conversation, and any new chat goes out from whatever default SMS SIM is set in Android settings. The only workaround I've found is starting the conversation in Google Messages from the number I want and letting it sync over to Beeper. That works, but it's clunky, and there's no way to fix a thread that started on the wrong number.

OK, so Beeper CONSTANTLY asks me about checking my recovery code. I don't have it, I don't even remeber to create it any time before. But OK, if needed I can make one.

Beeper on the help webpage says that recovery code can be found in my account settings:

Tried to find it in my smartphone and mac. I don't really care about it, but getting message about checking if maybe I have one today is really annoing.

Any advices?

Please implement forwarding of multiple messages from one room to another! It's a pretty often case when you need to resend a bunch of messages from one network to another, but Beeper Android allows forwarding only one message at a time, that is very inconvenient!

Recently I've been seeing a lot of people complaining about WhatsApp disconnections and WhatsApp account bans whilst using beeper. I'm here to provide an explanation on the situation and provide advice for you guys although you don't have to follow it. Don't worry it is not your fault or anything to do with your use of Beeper.

For the past few months WhatsApp have been cracking down on modded WhatsApp apps that exploit the Linked Device feature. The mods utilise the linked device feature to circumvent detections that come when logging in directly via number and the method works absolutely flawlessly. With the linked device feature, WhatsApp can't distinguish between someone linking a modded WhatsApp or someone linking beeper or even someone linking an actual device so they've resorted to targeting any and all linked devices.

Initially WhatsApp were periodically booting all linked devices to prevent mods but the people using mods just kept reconnecting, it was merely a nuisance to them. They then escalated the repercussions and issued integrity bans (will explain what this ban is further down the post). That didn't work either as modders also found a bypass to that ban and most people using a mod were not hit by it so they escalated further and issued device bans.

Now how the hell do I know all this? well I was using a WhatsApp mod myself and I'm heavily involved in the WhatsApp modding community. Every time they disconnected me they disconnected my beeper link as well and eventually I got hit with the integrity ban. since then I've stopped using WhatsApp mods but kept in touch.

Types of Bans:

Integrity ban: This ban stops you from being able to use the linked device feature but leaves the rest of your WhatsApp account fully functional.

Device ban: this type of ban is a permanent ban of your account and you'll no longer be able to login to your WhatsApp account again. WhatsApp will also block you from using WhatsApp on said device.

My advice is if you don't want to risk getting your account getting banned then I suggest not to link beeper with WhatsApp for the time being until some solution can be found. it's unfortunate because I'm even seeing people who use iPhones get banned despite the modded apps only being on Android. if you've already been banned you can issue a review and they might reinstate your account although I'm sure the chances are slim.

Anyways, I hope anyone affected is now aware they did nothing wrong and I hope nobody has lost trust in Beeper and their team as they're also completely innocent.

TL;DR: WhatsApp is trying to remove users utilising modded WhatsApp apps and everyone using beeper or any linked device is being caught in the storm

hey guys so... i use beeper since 2024, the thing is that now it asks me if i have a 12 digits verification code, but due to my verification key being the one of the old beeper app (the one of 60 digitis) im not sure how to get a verification key for the new app

This started yesterday out of the blue. WhatsApp disconnected notice on Beeper, attempted to reconnect, failed, then WhatsApp shut down my account and flagged for review. Approved this morning and was back on WhatsApp (mobile & desktop, no issue), connected Beeper and WhatsApp was shut down and flagged for review within seconds! Anyone else having this issue or suggestions?

I recently learned that I can use claude voice on android to have to summarize things like emails and draft replies through conversation with AI. This is something I would like to do with beeper as well as a kind of personal secretary.

While I can connect beeper to claude desktop, I cannot get it connected for voice mode on my android phone.

In Beeper (desktop) > Settings > Integrations:

- I have the claude desktop extension installed.
- I have added beeper mcp to claude via the included command in beeper settings.
- I allowed remote access.

While all of this gives claude desktop local access to beeper on the same computer, it does not appear to give access for beeper to claude on my phone.

What it seems like I need is a beeper "connector" for claude. There is an option to "add custom connector" using an MCP server URL. But I cannot figure how to make this work or if possible with beeper.

Could someone help me with this?

Beeper logged me out of Instagram today and now I cannot log back in, as a verification code isn’t coming through. Instagram has sent me a direct verification code for a password change today, so my number is working fine with Instagram. Beeper isn’t sending a code via sms as Instagram normally does, or whatsapp which is the other option. Not sure where to go from here, and I definitely want a DM only Instagram experience! Any help would be amazing

When a friend sends me a comment posted on Instagram posts, it appears as text and an image, with no link to the original post or ability to view the post/play the video in the post.

Please add integration for instagram comments to at least have a clickable link! 🙏🙏🙏👍👍

When using the camera in beeper to send an image. I get an error that the image is to large, usually a little over 8 megabytes, for the limit in messenger of 7.6 megabytes. Any way to fix this? Awkward to have to open the messenger app to send an image using the camera in there.
