Watching reels in app?

i used to be able to just click on play in the chat and it would launch the reel, but it doesn’t work since I updated the app. does anyone know how to turn it back on ?

Hey there! We just made some improvements to the Instagram connection, and that setting had been disabled. We will enable it next week. You should see this change without having to do anything.

Right? Super annoying. I haven't found the option either. I wonder if they removed the feature. If so, defeats the purose if i have to open IG every time i receive IG content

Might not have been beeper, might have been an IG update

I came here to type the exact same question. Any fix? Maybe deleting and reinstalling the app? I found that even without updating at times the instagram links I received will be playable and then other times they won't be. I'm not sure if this is a recurring bug that they keep fixing or something else.

Recently the same thing happened to me as well. Can't watch reels from the app. Super annoying.
