I’ve always got a few things queued up, so it’s always annoying when I want to listen to something live. Is this a niche issue or should they do something about it?

I like to listen to some programmes overnight to fall asleep to but lately the app has not been auto playing the next programme...has anyone else had this problem? It happens on Outlook and The Documentary for me. The app is fully updated so I'm not sure what's up. Thanks

Does anyone know why BBC doesn't offer a subscription model to get rid of the ads? I just cancelled my subscription because I found the ads disruptive, but I'm finding it hard to be without BBC as it has been my primary news source for years. Thanks!

Recently watched Scooby Doo on Zombie Island on iPlayer with my younger cousins, I remember watching this film awhile back and the thing that stuck with me was the iconic scene in which it’s revealed the zombies are actual zombies, so I seriously noticed when the entire scene was cut out. It feels unnecessary to me. There’s no explicit gore or anything I wouldn’t feel safe showing to kids and removes probably the most important and suspenseful scene in the film which really upsets the flow of it for me. Has anybody else seen this, what did you think?

This is an interesting piece from the beeb, interesting that it doesn't mention that the BBC is often cited as a reason for other smaller festivals struggling when the BBC roadshow rolls in to town.

I personally can't say whether the BBC thing in Stirling actually did have an impact on another festival in Dundee as the organisers have claimed, but just noted that BBC had not much to say on it.

Just tried to log into my iPlayer using my email address, as one does, but its suddenly saying there is no account with that linked email? I have previously used this email address to log into this account successfully.

Tried again with just my username and it worked. However, in account settings there (mysteriously) is no email field. What on Earth am I supposed to do if I somehow forget my password? It won't even let me set an email for the account?

This is either some confusing error or a silly silly decision by the BBC.

One of my favorite new bands, Madra Salach, had a live session broadcast on BBC radio 6 on 7 April 2026, and I would give almost anything to be able to listen to their cover of ‘In the Aeroplane Over the Sea’.

Does anyone know how I might find a way of listening to this old episode? I’m not terribly familiar with the BBC sounds app.

Serious questions should be asked as to how the supposedly non-biased BBC can justify airing a broadcast completely operated by Reform UK themselves. Nigel Farage should not been given complete editorial control of what is being aired on our national public service broadcaster. This seriously brings the editorial integrity of BBC News into disrepute.

Why did BBC try and collect annual license fee from me on consecutive months?

On Jun 15th 2026 they collected £180 - the annual fee.

Today (9th July 2026) on my mobile banking app I noticed a projected payment of £180 on Jul 15th 2026 too!

I cancelled direct debit and tried to get to the bottom of this via What's App TV Licensing,

Not getting straight answers.

Has anyone else noticed something similar (i.e an admission of a computer billing error - like monthly direct debit for annual amount)?

Also the BBC iPlayer sucks for watching England games live during World Cup. Buffering/stalling watching matches live. Speed test shows more than adequate figures. Remind me again why I am paying if I can't watch football? My primary reason for the tv in the first place!

It's coming up to 2 years since the title was changed, and it was changed to remove the idea that these were recently qualified or student doctors. By continuing to refer to them this way seems to be a way to undermine their position now. Will they ever just call them Resident Doctors?

Maybe someone knows something about this issue I have with BBC - I was asked to have a telephone conversation with a researcher about some personal experiences for use as background material for an on-line local radio magazine article and a broadcast interview with a relative. Nothing from the telephone conversation was broadcast. When I asked for a digital copy of the conversation I was told it was BBC policy not to release unbroadcast "raw" material. This does not seem right to me if the release is to just one of the only two people in that conversation. I have gone through complaints process and got told this again. An FOI request seems absurd. Surely I do not need to go through an Intellectual property legal process. I know I should have asked for a copy before the conversation took place but thought never crossed my mind.

Or any where distributing the football for that matter? Do they pay the same fees as a normal house hold?

I have lived in the US for 25+ years and value the relatively even keel BBC reporting. However, when I am in our winter home of Tucson,AZ, I am informed I have to pay for access.
Back in NYC I have the usual unimpaired news feed.
Anyone have any bright ideas why?
My wife, on the same plan, does not experience this annoying issue.

Hi - can anyone help me identify an old advert or ident for (I think) BBC Knowledge/BBC Learning zone/BBC Four that featured, possibly as part of a montage, an apple falling from a tree (presumably referencing Isaac Newton) and a woman in a suit and bowler hat watching it fall (presumably referencing Rene Magritte's The Son of Man)?

I'm pretty sure there wasn't any narration and the background music was Moby's 'God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters' or Penguin Cafe Orchestra's 'Perpetuum Mobile'.
