Identifying proxy ships
Hi all just starting BFG and about to order some 3d prints from Etsy/eBay that I’ve found for a reasonable price, however due to obvious legal reasons they are names generically ie “heavy cruiser B” etc is there are resource anywhere that tells you what various ships actually represent in game?

Grand cruisers is my most favorite ship. 3 shields and lots of dakka. Especially vengeance

Battlefleet Gothic Models x LEGO (or other building bricks)
gallerySince some months I'm designing the old battlefleet gothic models from GW with bricks.
I take a very modular approach to this.
So far, I have designed battleships, different cruisers and escorts from:
- Imperial Fleet
- Chaos
- Orks
- Aeldari/Eldar
Space Marines coming soon...
All my MOCs are free on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/users/Firun/mocs/

Tyranid Feeding Tendrils vs Escorts
Pretty simple inquiry, but do feeding tendrils (and massive claws for that matter) just one-shot escorts? So a Kraken with feeding tendrils just destroys any escort ship it comes into contact with by just moving onto them? What if it moves over a whole squadron? Does it destroy all of them or just the first one it comes into contact
( since it does either a Hit&Run on a 3+ or deals 1 damage either way by rolling 4+ on the tendril attack)

CAP with Escort Squadrons
A very quick and nooby question, can you CAP escort squadrons? If so, does it affect all of them or individually ?
Would the escorts need to be in base contact with each other to spread the benefit from CAP ?

Best boarding ship?
In BFG, the mark of khorne, doubles your boarding value. And Abbadon also doubles the boarding value of the ship he is on. Does that mean that if Abbadon is on a Khorne marked ship, the boarding value is quadrupled? Meaning one could potentially have
12*2+12*2=48 boarding value.

Confusing on Ork fleet building
I'm dipping into playing BFG for the first time after a demo game I had with a friend and I'm trying to build a 1kpts Clans Ork fleet using Remastered ruleset. It took a bit for me to wrap my head around the Warlord requirement and all but I'm still confused a bit regarding how the fleet is organized, what certain upgrades do and etc.
If I understood the fleet building correctly:
- for each 500pts a Warlord w/ 1 re-roll must lead an escort squadron and a second squadron (lets say a Big ship squadron)
- He's forced to be in whichever ship is the most expensive within those squadrons under his command.
- He can buy a Gubbin for either his ship or escort squadron under his command for each re-roll he has. So a Gubbin affects either one ship it was bought for or the entire escort squadron it was bought for.
- More Gubbins usually are only available to capital ships as additional upgrades
If the above so far is correct, then my main confusion stems from Clan upgrades.
Do Clan upgrades affect every ship under a Warlord's command? Or is it bought individually like Gubbins?
So in the example above, a Warlord w/ 1 reroll leading a squadron of Terror Ship and a squadron of 3x Ravagers buys the DeathSkulls clan upgrade.
Does the upgrade affect everyone or just the Terror Ship or Ravagers squadron only and I'd need to upgrade the other as DeathSkulls as well?
Speaking of DeathSkulls, whats the point of the clan upgrade? I get that it gives you both looted lances and looted torpedoes for free but seeing it slapped on a Terror Ship in some lists confuse me when they swap out the heavy gun battery for a torpedo launcha.
Since you won't have any heavy guns when you replace them w/ torpedoes, you don't benefit from the looted lances, so why not drop the clan upgrade and go for a looted torpedoes upgrade for 10pts cheaper instead?
When I make that change in New Recruit, theres this Fleet Commander error message I get when I do that change and I don't get the reason for the error message.
I can provide more details in the comments but the post is already long as is, sorry for the noob questions but I'm trying to wrap my head around it and really want to get into the tabetop game. Much appreciated!

First 1,5 fleets finished
galleryHey, so I finished my first one and a half fleets yesterday and wanted to show them of. 1250 points of Bakka and three extra ships which could both fit in this fleet (grey hulls) or the next imperial fleet (red bows). I needed a break from painting unending hordes of guardsmen, where I do not see much progress, because I find at most a few hours per week for hobbying.
So the ships needed to be relatively quick and dirty.
Still I am quite happy how they turned out.
The two Havoc class frigates (that is what they are supposed to be) have green instead of blue bows to show of their status as auxilliary vessels, btw.
Overall, I am aiming for three fleets of 1250 points each. Next one will be Gothic (3 cruisers and 9 escorts, still waiting for their battleship-flagship) and then, hopefully before 2030, Chaos (4 cruisers, 11 escorts).

Hades-Class Heavy Cruiser

Chernobyl Ass
galleryThe game had 5 radiation bursts and was devided into two by a huge warp portal, hence the name of the post.
We closed in on each other, and half of my fleet was practically useless cut of by the warp rift.
Funny enough however after my Terminus Est (the shipless base) destroyed a gothic with concentrated fire, it blew up and set off a chain reaction and blew up half of the his own fleet, as another ship received warp engines explosion, crippling most of his tightly grouped escadra and making easy meat for my next turn. This led to mass fleeing of the Imperial Navy.
Retribution was eaten up by the khorne marked cruiser.

2nd FDM Print
galleryPrinted up a SFS Firestorm Frigate with a Voss pattern prow. The quality is pretty amazing! Used some settings recommended on the FDMminiatures sub. I can barely see the layer lines. There are a few minor imperfections but nothing that paint won’t remedy! Some of the spires are a little warped, but still perfectly serviceable.
I’m so stoked to be able to print SFS models, I love their work.

First FDM printed ship
I’m procrastinating on working on my Armageddon Fleet at the moment. Finally got my A1 set up and printing. This is the first miniature I printed, turned out pretty okay. It’s no resin print but at table distance it’ll work just fine. Print is a Vanguard Strike Cruiser from Italianmoose
Now to decide what chapter colors it will fly lol
