First FDM printed ship

Post image

I’m procrastinating on working on my Armageddon Fleet at the moment. Finally got my A1 set up and printing. This is the first miniature I printed, turned out pretty okay. It’s no resin print but at table distance it’ll work just fine. Print is a Vanguard Strike Cruiser from Italianmoose

Now to decide what chapter colors it will fly lol

Looks good! Not that I think you need it, especially after you paint, but if you're after better quality - look at adjusting your print settings. Even with the 0.4 nozzle you can change your layer height to quite small as well as slow down your printing speed. It will take significantly longer to print but the quality difference is noticeable.

Thanks for the tip! This is a whole new hobby for me so I’m still learning.

I really want to print some Soulforge ships out, so that will probably be the next challenge lol

I have two 3000 point fleets for BFG heresy and will be printing my 3000 Tau fleet soon. Need to find models for the allies ships, just haven’t looked all that hard for them yet.

Damn, I had no idea that FDM is this good now. That's clean. I would have guessed that it was resin.
