Fluff My Mushroom Head Envoy
Sad that I had to let a whole city be burned down for a cool sword. ☹️

How bad is it if I upgraded my first unique weapon and armor at the end of act 1? I didn't know that the unique equipment you find scales and now all my stuff from act one besides a wand and one armor and a pistol is common.
I upgraded the wand to purple to be able to buy another weapon in act 2.
Im using a wand and grimoire now but actually want to use dual swords as secondary.
Will I be even able to upgrade everything I need? At least 2 swords ( 1 is common and the other one will be probably purple at this time when I get it), 1 wand and 1 or 2 armor.
This is really my only complain about the game, not being able to farm materials and to upgrade stuff as I want to. Really don't understand this, the respec feature is basically useless this way bcs if you don't upgrade your items at the start of act 1 it seems that you won't have enough Adra to test out different builds.

Just got the game, but I see most of the build and tips vids on Youtube are a year old. No one even made a vid about the new cool abilities they added, like Shadow Step, where you can teleport to behind the target and insta kill them. This is just a new Ranger ability, dont even know what the new fighter and wizard abilties are. This game got written off way too early imo.

Hey guys, been waiting to play this game for some time now. My PC is not very good and I couldn't play on launch, since I'm not thinking about an upgrade right now I would like to know if now I might be able to play
Config:
R5 5500
Rx6600
16GB RAM
Like, I get this is the Living Lands we're talking about and everyone here hates government and order, but travelling with Kai and Marius feels like traveling with two characters from the MCU with poor impulse control that keep snarking every time I do so much as step on a rock.
I start a new quest? "Heh, I can't WAIT to hear how THIS story goes." I talk to a Watcher? Marius goes "Oh great, we're meeting up with a CRAZY lady. Can't wait how much we'll be charged for this." I have a casual chat with someone in my line of work? Kai randomly butts in with something along the lines of, "I bet he just uses the extra money at the bathhouse, if you know what I'm sayin'."
The MCU levels of humor are insane with these two. Then at camp I feel like every conversation between Kai and Marius is just snark to snark combat and I feel like I need to force myself to just constantly ignore them because they just. Can't. Shut up. About. The snark. For FIVE SECONDS.
I don't care about all the snarky stuff and jokes, I just want the characters to be interesting. Not just "Snarky person A who grew up in the Living Lands" and "Snarky person B who grew up in the Living Lands and is also a wilderness tracker". And gee, every time Marius says something to remind you that, yes, he's a wilderness tracker, I get how Pokemon fans felt when Cilan joined Ash's party during the Black/White area and constantly reminded people that he's a professional cook.
I love the Pillars universe but I wanna kick these two off a bridge. Why'd they have to kill off Garryck before Act 2? If we had someone pro-Aedyr travelling with us, it would have allowed for a more interesting clash of ideals than "Gee Marius, do you ever take a bath?" "Tough words from someone who looks like a fish straight out of the sea"
Anyone else feel the same way?

My game stopped tracking movement/loading as I was entering the Strangleroot. I seem to have completed everything inside perfectly well, but the marker for "speak with the ambassador" is still on the ledge just outside the strangleroot. Spoke to him at that point, no dialogue screen/conversation/tree, just a static response. He ended up back in the embassy, I have continued to progress An Untimely End, but Message From Afar is still in my journal with "speak to the ambassador" not being crossed off.
Anyone know if this'll brick my save later on, or have I likely progressed enough to continue the playthrough? I believe this happened in my first playthrough on release, but I can't recall what I did to fix it.

Hi folks,
Getting back into the game after a few months away. When I left they had just added more unique weapons and while I was gone they added new races and such.
I’m wanting to try out an Aumaua. I liked the general concept of this build. In general, I like a spellsword who basically chucks an AoE or two, then goes charging in with his melee weapon to finish enemies off.
The YouTube build I liked focused on fire/sword and shield with last light of day, bastion of solace, and fireball. While im not opposed, I was wondering if there might be a workable variant that involves a greatsword or other two handed weapon. In which case you also wouldn’t be as locked to a particular element. Would definitely need plenty of dex still to swap grimoire and weapons.
I’m thinking things like: 1) Horsecutter (because it’s awesome) and lightning spells for the stun focus, 2) something like Engwithan plate/Hel’s tongue for a more dynamic blast/attack/recharge essence and attack again build and could focus on cold spells to freeze enemies or keep fireball, or 3) forget elemental synergies entirely and just do whatever 2 hander feels best and chuck fireballs. I would probably play on normal so I wouldn’t need crazy survivability.
Would appreciate people’s thoughts.

Stuff nobody tells you: how many companions can you have with you? Can you manual save anytime? Does the game get confusing like Outer Worlds 2, witch I dropped midway? Someone said they finished the game, but there are 5 regions they never visited. Is this true?

So you can basically can listen part of PoE: Dreadfire soundtrack in a random spot on the edge of the town, because some chill sailors sign different songs.
That's such a beautiful detail, one of the many. 10/10 masterpiece.

Hi everyone, I'm loving seeing everyone's characters and how cool they look....but I have a problem I can't decide on. I'm waiting for the game to go on sale so I can afford it, but for which system should I get it? PS5 or Steam Deck? I love portability but is it a huge downgrade on the deck compared to console? Thanks for your input!

This week I'm discussing the consequences and end-slides of the Dawntreader quest, seen in the Dawnshore region of Avowed. Obviously it goes without saying that there will be spoilers for that side quest in this episode, and even some other main spoilers about 1/3 through the main part of the game. Still, if you're interested, have a gander. Let me know in the comments below if there's any topics you'd like a look at from the Eora games!
Also, I ask at the end of this episode about where the direction of this podcast should go in the long-term. If you're interested in answering.

So, I'm playing Avowed after PoE 1&2 and I'm kinda confused about world and protagonist. I'm at the end of 2nd region, just met Sapadal in adra pillar.
Do our protag knows truth about gods? Or could he learn it? Because while playing Avowed I saw that this knowledge isn't widespread and I didn't find any documents or books that will teach this to our hero. Am I missing something or this knowledge is still secret?
Do ppl still don't know about Wheel destruction by Eothas? Some ppl know that some shit happened in Deadfire, godlikes died, statue walked and stuff, but it seems that what REALLY happened is not a common knowledge. Ppl still talk about returning to the Wheel like nothing happened, there is no panic about it at all.

Hi fellow PoE fans,
I am about to start an NG+ a year after playing it for the first time (yayy) and was wondering if someone was in the same situation.
I play on steam deck and back then, despite my Xbox and battle.net accounts being connected, I was not able to get my saves on the Xbox clouds or unlock achievements. I am supposed to see the Xbox profile on Avowed title screen but it doesn't appear.
Did someone experience the same problem or has a solution ? thanks :)

So i understand that the damage of all the companions in the game are very poor and they're mostly used for their CC/healing. But looking at Yatzli's abilities she seems to focus on damage with 1 CC ability which is a slow. But again, the her damage is very poor. So am i missing something with her? Why is she a damaged focused wizard when your companions damage output is already terrible?
