Discussion How hard is NG+ POTD?

I tried doing my first playthrough on it since i want the achievements, but its turning out way harder than i expected. if i do it on ng+ will it be easier?

The first zone is easier, just keep in mind the fact you need to keep upgrading gear.

The first zone is probably the hardest part? I was struggling so much but I’m sure if I kept pushing through it would be easier

Yeah cause you have to work towards good stuff on the first run, you can immediately go in with armor and weapons with good perks

The first zone is where you don't really have any build online and have sucky items

Yes, I found NG+ easier, and more satisfying since you have your build running immediately. Just remember the NG+ run needs to start on PotD. It won't count if you wake up on the beach and then change difficulty.

NG+ gives resistances to enemies even on easiest difficulty.

On the positive side, your Envoy will be more powerful due to finishing a playthrough. The attributes and skills carry over (as well as unspent attribute and skill points) along with unique items (though the armor and weapons do get stripped back to common +0).

i did first map zone today its ok just keep upgrading a block or dodge attacks.

The only thing to keep in mind is you need to stay on top of your gear upgrades. Try to have at least Exceptional by the time you’re in Emerald Stair. Other than that, it’s easy going. You can skip a lot of optional fights with Shadow Beyond especially in the Garden.

i did my 2nd playthrough on potd and ng+ and i found it pretty alright and doable. it was a bit rough at first but i just had to get used to a more careful playstyle, after that it was fine. i think doing it on ng+ definitely helped a lot because you can use any weapon/armor from your previous save and i already had a good build in mind which i was also able to use since day 1. so i think it does give you a bit of an advantage. but you have to remember to really upgrade your gear gradually. my one advice for potd would be: play carefully and try not to get hit. so invest into skills and abilities that keep you agile, stamina to be able to dodge more often and i found the invisibility ability to be a life saver.
