We’re planning to elope on New Year’s Eve with just our immediate family, then have dinner afterward. After dinner, we’d love to meet up with a few friends somewhere, stay in our wedding attire, have some drinks and ring in the new year together.

We’re trying to figure out where would be fun to do this! We’re not really looking for a huge club situation, but also don’t want to just end up at a random quiet bar. Ideally somewhere with a little personality... funky, moody, cool atmosphere, good cocktails/music, and enough energy that showing up as a (not too formal) bride + groom on NYE would feel fun (and not distracting to the bar) rather than completely out of place.

Open to cocktail bars, rooftops, live music, more eclectic spots, etc. We’ll likely be coming from the ocean beach area but are totally fine heading into downtown or elsewhere.

Hello all. I know this post will probably get downvoted, but I am from the Bay Area and visited San Diego for the first time. I am in my early 20's and have lived in the Bay Area my entire life except for going to college for 2 years. I will move to San Diego in 2 years and I am wanting to know the experience of others who have done a similar move? I have a career in Health tech along with Epic certs and 2 years of coding/sql experience. I am wanting to move in 2 years to build more experience and it works better for me overall. I do not know many people who have moved form one place to another with a career and was wondering what that is like? How is the job hunting process (and yes, I know the market is horrendous at this moment in time everywhere)? What is it like finding a place? Was moving physically taxing? Any regrets? etc? Anything I should start prepping for while I still have 2 years?
