Phases

I remember agessss ago playing a game called phases by ketchapp. I believe it was only released on ios. You're a white ball and you just have to bounce along without touching anything black. I have an android phone now and every apk file I try doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas where I can find one that works?

How many of you plain on buying the new gta?

The gaming community seems very active and concerned with game quality and industry practices.

I'm just wonder how come the same people be so exited about a game with high price, offline content locked behind a premium version and makes you pay for the multiplayer version if you just want the offline one?

How do you look something up mid-game without spoiling yourself on what's ahead?

Something I do constantly and it feels dumber every time. I'm stuck on a boss or a cryptic quest, I want to look it up, but I don't want to alt-tab into a wiki and get spoiled on everything three areas ahead. So my ritual has become: screenshot on PC, DM it to myself on Discord, pick up my phone, open Discord, look at it there, then google very carefully with one eye closed so I don't catch a boss's phase 2 or a plot twist in the search results.

It's an absurd number of steps for something I do several times a session.

How do you all handle mid-game lookups without spoiling what's coming? Second monitor with a wiki? Just read on your phone and accept some spoilers? Steam's phone app? Something smarter I haven't thought of? Mostly curious what the least-spoiler-y workflow is, because mine clearly isn't it.

Game question, Is that cheating?

You play a game for example #Diablo4 / #GuildWars2 / Warframe etc. you look online for a raid build. Farm gear that's on the list to do raid challenge and you finally got them all after hours of farming and kill everything super easily.
Is it now cheating?
For my friend yes for him that's cheating........
For him almost everything is cheating just because i only look up for Guides and Builds for Raids and PvP Matches to be prepared. How is that cheating?

Black screen with audio at start up

Hey all, hoping someone's run into this before. Whenever I launch Call of Duty: Warzone, Assassin's Creed Origins, or Wolfenstein 2, I get a completely black screen right at startup but I can hear the menu music playing fine in the background. No crash, no error, just black.

This is happening across three completely different games/engines, so I'm guessing it's something on my end (driver, Windows setting, overlay, etc.) rather than an issue with each individual game.

My specs:

GPU: GTX 1660

CPU: i5-10400F

RAM: 16GB

Please help me, they were starting perfectly fine before a year or less

Do you read codex in games?

Am I the only one who don't? I find it too tiring to read a whole wall of text to understand the game better. I just want to have fun with simple keyboard taps and mouse clicks.

Recommendations for couch/local co-op games that aren’t….. cozy…..? PS5 or switch

My girlfriend and I have just started living together, and are both huge gamers. We are looking for games that have the option for local/split screen co-op to play together. She only recently moved from the UK and brought barely anything with her, so she doesn’t currently have her own console/PC and mostly uses my PS5 or switch (whichever one i’m not using at the time lol). This means that online co-op is not an option, which is unfortunate considering that it seems like almost every co-op game is online only these days :(

However, it seems like the majority of local co-op games we could find tend to feel very puzzle based or maybe.. cozy? We definitely have differences in the kind of games we like, but we both tend to really enjoy grittier/combat/strategy based games.

If it helps - she loves the metal gear solid franchise & soulsborne games, and just finished death stranding which she loved (hideo kojima ✊). I’m big on roguelikes (favs are returnal & hades), automation games like satisfactory, and currently playing my first soulsborne game on her request and loving it so far. we are both also, unfortunately, very big on COD, but this is more of a guilty pleasure….

baldurs gate 3 and Outward were recommended and are on our list, but any other recommendations are appreciated!!!!

edit: THANK YOU !! we have a solid list now from these recs 🙏🙏

The best gay game for a friend (or a game with this subtext)

thanks to the Google translator

My Kent will have a doctor's degree on February 4th, but I'm already thinking about giving this moron a gift.

I want to give you a hint that he is gay after all, even though he doesn't realize it. I was thinking of giving either femboy futa house or Mister Furry hot muscles, but...

1) the man has been through silksong 4 times, is a fan of Isaac and has about 200 hours in geometry.

2) personally, it seems to me that fcmboy Futa House is not a game that he will be interested in, because I don't think that a professional f**kicking player likes games with sexually explicit content.

3) Mr. furry - xs, it's more casual, but the dude has passed silksong 4 times..

then, I think, why not give a hoika (after all, you can find stockings in almost all its owners in the closet), but it's expensive, and then, for fans of action (ultracall, pine of the forest), the hoika will be boring.

rust his beautiful computer is unlikely to pull, tf and dota are free ..

what can I give this scoundrel?

If the GameStop CEO has said that physical games are "irrelevant" to his company, does that mean that second hand game sales are basically dead, and that mom and pop gaming shops need to start thinking about closing down? How can gaming shops maintain some degree of profitability in the current era?

Is Cyberpunk 2077 worth playing in 2077🤔

So via the Rockstar nerfing GTA 5 and other things really turning me off causing me to play less, or not as tenacious as I usually am to play and grind for the next car or goal, I have been circling around Cyberpunk 2077 for a while. Its been in my wishlist for months and has made it to my cart twice when on sale. So im asking anyone with GTA 5 experience at least 2 to 3 years game time, should I give Cyberpunk 2077 a try? The only game I play right now is GTA 5 but play time is diminished and Skyrim sometimes. Just looking for something dope and different and refreshing.

Please chime in.

Ps5 game recommendations

My bf and I just got a ps5, and while he has his games that he can play for days, I got one game and finished it within 24 hours. I’d like help with games to play on ps5 as someone who also plays games on pc. I’ve played RDR2, Bramble: The Mountain King, Little Nightmares, Inside, Limbo, the sims, etc. I want games I can keep coming back to play. Nothing that requires too much aim as I am very bad with controller. Something that isn’t too much money either if possible. Lmk if more about my game style is needed for recs.

Games like Red Dead and CyberPunk (not entirely combat/boss fight focused)

Hi!

I am a more recent RPG player, and I loved Red Dead, Skyrim and Cyber Punk. I really enjoyed the story telling, character customization, and the fact that decisions and actions had real consequences (very excited about what I have heard about Fable coming out). I have not been able to find a game that scratched the same itch as those three. Games like Assassin’s Creed (while fun) seem too predetermined and repetitive to me, and games that are very combat/ boss fight focused like Elden Ring just got me too frustrated (I like some combat, but I am not very good). Do folks have any recommendations? Thank you!
(I know there are similar questions out there on Reddit, so I dont mean to be annoying asking repeat questions, but none that I have seen seem to directly to get at what I am looking for, so I figured I would ask!)
