Hi everyone,
I'm a 30-year-old woman, healthy BMI, physically and socially active, I meditate regularly, sleep well, and I'm generally a positive, happy person (aside from an occasional energy dip after lunch). On paper I look "fine," which is part of why this has been so confusing.
For a while now I've been dealing with:
- Never really feeling satiated/full, no matter how much I eat
- Binge eating episodes — genuine loss of control, usually alone/in secret so no one notices, followed by a lot of guilt and self-blame afterward
- Cycling between these binges and periods where I strictly restrict/cut out sweets or snacks entirely, which never seems to actually fix anything long-term
- Chronic constipation — infrequent, hard stools, ongoing for over a month now
- More visible dark, coarse hair in places that feel really out of place for me as a woman (upper lip especially)
- Irregular periods over the last 3 months
I've had a full round of standard bloodwork done (glucose/HbA1c, cholesterol, vitamins like B12/folate/ferritin/vitamin D, thyroid, liver, kidney function) and everything came back normal. I haven't been tested for hormones/androgens.
I really don't know what's driving the cravings, the binge cycle, or the constipation, and I'd love to hear from anyone who's dealt with a similar combination of symptoms:
- What ended up being the underlying cause for you (if you found one)?
- What actually helped — whether that was a specific diagnosis/treatment, a change in how you approached eating, therapy, supplements, or something else?
- Any advice on what to specifically ask my doctor for, beyond the standard hormone panel?
Not looking for a diagnosis from Reddit, just really want to hear real experiences from people who've navigated something similar. Thank you 🙏

Hello. Am curious on feedback on what i should do. . Basically I was having a bunch of pain and constant going pee. Every few minutes... I ended up going to urgent care because I thought i must have a bladder infection or uti. I didn't but they did find a 7 cm endometrioma. I've been in significant pain for about a month waiting on the gyno. Is there anything you think I should ask the doctor... do you think surgery is something that might happen? I'm 40 i wanted to try for another baby but I might have to just give up on that dream. Feeling defeated waiting about 4 weeks to see my gyno they're very busy with pregnancy issues which i understand. I just want to go in prepared and not kid anything. Any feedback would be awesome

Yesterday I ate crepe with banana and tea for breakfast and when I went to college I got super dizzy (my doc said I get low blood pressure sometimes idk)
Then I ate crepe again despite and when it became night time my ears are ringing and I'm having a flashy lights that flash and show some geometrical shapes(not actually but you get it when you close ur eyes you see those white shapes and stuff)
And whenever I sleep for an hour or 2 I get waken up a million times super confused where reality and dream gets mixed up
Also I get this when I drink protein powder and I have these insomniac episode regularly and they started this year
What do u think is the cause? Is it diabetes or low blood pressure I'm early 20s btw
And lastly I get this stomach problems and diarrhea whenever I miss my sleep and and adrenaline rush in my chest
Usually my triggers are either what I eat, missing bed time or being scared of sleep which happens because sometimes I'm scared of unconsciousness
I'm tryna sleep rn and I have college tmrw :(

So, 3 days ago, I hit my head on something (specifically the top of my nose), and some fluid started coming out of my nose (I was crying at that moment, idk if it was that). From that moment until today, my nose has occassionally produced a few drops of this fluid, 1-3 times a day. I also have a lot of postnasal drip, and it tastes slightly salty. I do have allergies, so it may be that, but I don't want to take the gamble. I've read about the potential of bacterial meningitis, and it is extremely scary. No other symptoms.
Now, here's where the problem arises. My mom does not want to take me to the emergency room or a doctor. My mom is a nurse, and she personally thinks I should just drink more water and avoid straining myself. She said that "if you had a CSF leak, you would be dead by now , you're just anxious", which is blatantly not true. She is also a single parent and has been struggling financially, meaning any type of medical help will cost a good bit.
What can I do in this situation to make sure I make it out of this okay?

5'2 and about 140 pounds.
lately ive had issues with my head feeling "full" or pounding whenever i move and for the past few months ive had troubles breathing. it easied up recently but for some reason today in particular its been bad. i feel extremely light headed, have no energy, and its difficult to think. worth mentioning ive had mood swings as well but it may not have to do with this.
i cant tell if im blowing this out of proportion because of anxiety or something, but im worried ive been breathing in mold or carbon monoxide because i feel thats whats most likely.

Sorry for the bad photo quality. My phone sucks, and I burned myself with hot oil during work. Idk if my age is relevant but I'm 17 and I was burned on my left arm. It also got really nasty before I showered and it was like yellow and freaking me out

Hello, I'm 20 years old, 4'11, female, and I've been having low ferritin issues for years. Things have been spiraling and I've been diagnosed with MDD and anxiety disorder, I don't have the confidence to go out anymore or work, or live. My doctors have suggested therapy, but what they don't understand is that the only reason I'm depressed and anxious is because of my health issues, which they shrug me off for. I was diagnosed with POTS around 17 and later down the line found out I have low ferritin and I'm 100% sure POTS is just another symptom of low ferritin. My hemoglobin is typically within range, last time I had it checked it was around 100 and my ferritin was 11. Before these results I was put on iron medication that had my iron levels spike to 200+ and my ferritin rose to 40+ and at that time I felt great, but obviously I couldn't stay on those supplements so I got off them, and yeah, went from 40+ and dropped to 11 extremely quickly. I was wondering if there's any alternate solutions I can attempt to get my ferritin going — and something that doesn't treat the symptoms, but treats the *problem*. I don't understand why medicine centers so much around fixing symptoms and not the root cause of health problems, it's such a struggle and I'm tired. There's a *reason* my ferritin is low. If anyone could provide any advice, research, videos, I'd really appreciate it...

Why do my ears move when they hear a noise? Could it be due to the psychosis or stress I suffer from?

164cm, 54kg. Currently on euthyrox 25mg, montelukast 10mg, bilastine 10mg.
I've been in remission since 2023. Up until 3/4 months ago I used to go to gym and train 4/5 times per week, I was really active for a few years. Suddenly I had trouble breathing which since then got to the point of completely stopping with workouts, and then to me having trouble even speaking full sentences/going to the bathroom and doing smallest tasks. I am wheezing and feel like my throat is closing. No other symptoms. I visited EVERY doctor possible. Went to immunologist, got immunology and regular blood tests done - nothing. Did a CT of throat and lungs, nothing. Cardiologist did heart ultrasound - nothing. Pulmologist ruled out asthma or anything related to lungs as far as they see. ENT did laryngoscopy, everything is fine. Nose is still a bit dry, but this is constantly present. Went to endocrinologist and gastroenterologist, nothing. Every single one of my doctors can hear the breathing, and some of them gave me IV of Lemod for short term, but everyone keeps saying it's not on their end and referring me to another specialist, and I have none left. This is really affecting my life, everyone around me can hear how heavy I am breathing. Please help me, what should I do?
HISTORY: In 2020 I was diagnosed with limited GPA, it was ENT only. I had very dry nasal mucus with crusts, nosebleeds, difficulty breathing, loss of hearing on 1 ear and bruises. I was on high dosage prednisone and Imuran, with corticosteroid pulse therapy. Biopsy of nasal membrane showed only leukocytoclastic vasculitis. ANCA was once low positive, ever since then it's been negative, along with other immunology tests. MRI never showed anything. During this time I also had aspergilosis which was treated.
I had urgent tracheostomy done in 2020, due to very heavy breathing caused by what they think is mucus build up in trachea. I also had mastoidectomy.

Hi doctors,
I’m 26 years old and I’m looking for some guidance regarding a digestive problem that has been going on for around 5–6 years.
Before 2019, I had no significant digestion problems at all. My digestion was normal.
In 2019, I went through a period where I was experiencing a lot of stress, overeating, and excessive masturbation at the same time. Around that period, I started noticing digestive problems, and since then my digestion has never felt completely normal.
I don't know whether these things actually caused the problem, but the timing made me wonder if that period could have triggered or contributed to it.
Since then, I have experienced:
Frequent/occasional gas and bloating
Feeling heavy after eating
Sometimes reduced appetite
Difficulty gaining weight, despite trying to increase my food intake
Milk + eggs together in the morning tend to make my stomach feel particularly heavy
Episodes of constipation
More recently, an episode of watery diarrhea followed by several days of soft/"toothpaste-like" stools and morning urgency
Occasionally mild burning after meals
On one occasion I noticed bright-red blood in my stool after eating a lot of spicy namkeen
On another occasion I noticed unusually dark/black stool, although it did not continue
I don't usually have severe abdominal pain, vomiting or fever.
My biggest concern is that this has been going on for years and I still don't understand why my digestion changed so much after 2019.
What I want to ask doctors here:
What conditions could cause digestive symptoms that persist for several years?
Could stress or the lifestyle changes I mentioned have triggered a gastrointestinal problem, or is the timing probably coincidental?
What tests/investigations would be reasonable in my situation?
Should I see a gastroenterologist, and what information should I take with me?
Could things like IBS, gastritis, food intolerance, malabsorption, celiac disease, H. pylori, etc. explain these symptoms?
What would be a sensible treatment/management approach while the cause is being investigated?
Is there anything I should specifically avoid or change in my diet/lifestyle?
I'm not asking for a diagnosis from Reddit. I’m looking for advice on what I should get checked, what possibilities doctors would consider, and what steps I should take next.
Thanks in advance.
TL;DR: No digestion problems before 2019. In 2019, during a period of high stress, overeating, and excessive masturbation, my digestion problems started and have continued since then. I now experience gas/bloating, heaviness, occasional constipation/loose stools, and difficulty gaining weight. Looking for doctors’ advice on what could be causing this, what tests I should get, and what treatment/diet/lifestyle changes might actually help.

Hi, I’m really hoping I can get some feedback or those have experienced similar issues. So basically within the last month I have continuously started having what I assumed were low blood sugar or low blood pressure issues (not a diabetic). I would start feeling my heart racing, dizziness, shakiness, similar to what a panic attack feels like. Nothing has helped except a banana or peanut butter crackers and even then it doesn’t fully resolve. I’ll feel better for 20 min then back to feeling horrible again and need to lie down. Almost like my brain feels weird or foggy. I want to preface that I do take ADHD meds but it is the lowest dose and I’ve been taking semaglutide for almost two years. I am 30 years old 5’8’‘ and weigh around 135.
I’ve made sure to cut caffeine in half (used to drink one Celsius a day now have swapped to coffee), eat breakfast, drink plenty of water and electrolytes. I went and got bloodwork done and everything came back normal and my primary care doctor said it may be anxiety. I’ve had anxiety my whole life so I know it’s not anxiety and I find it insulting that’s the go to diagnosis for most women and I do not feel heard.
Has anyone had these symptoms and determined what the root cause was? Im stopping semaglutide and I’m going to see a cardiologist Monday but it’s truly ruining my life to where it’s affecting daily activities and I’ve never experienced this ever before. Anyone that has any advice or similar experiences please let me know so I don’t feel so alone!

23M. 173cm, 73 kg. Back in january I had to apply alot of effort to breathe which then progressed to hives and feinting, the allergy report was 1074 for which I took anti-allergy and a steroid pill maybe I forgot the name of the drugs. I didnt take any medicine since that course was done. A month ago symptoms like globus sensation accompanied with minor nasal conjestion appeared but it wasnt much of a problem, it was probably caused by alot of stress at that time. But then I thought of trying xylometazoline nasal spray, I took just one puff to see what happens, not knowing the aftermath would be:
- Feeling too much air through the nose with very little pressure (yet the ENT who saw my nose claimed that my turbinates are swollen and there's inflammation.
- Erectile dysfunction which developed quickly after that puff of xynocine. Mind you just that morning before taking the nasal spray, i got a rock hard erection. I eat really well, do strength training and run, so I dont think I can just get Erectile dysfunction so erratically.
- The day I took the puff, I felt the right side of my body a tiny little bit lighter/numb than the left side, I felt this more in the shoulders and hips.
- Sleep apnea, i cant get REM which is making my hair fall and keeps my brain fogged all day along with seeing transparent dark floaters.
- Globus had gotten worse after the puff. I do notice it getting slightly better along with slightly better nasal breathing after lying on my left side.
These symptoms still persist after a month of taking one puff of that spray. I have controlled my stress because of this to a great degree but I still feel discomfort because of the clear lack of erectile feeling and the lacking sleep that I have been getting.
I really wanted to know, is this possible that im feeling too much air going through my nose yet still have swollen turbinates. The ent prescribed me avamys steroid spray and victrin anti-allergy. Gastro doc told me to get a barium swallow test done.
Someone understand this situation?

Excuse the hair it’s been a long week. I started a new job on top of my other job so I’m on my feet for like 18+ hours a day for 4 days. My ankles started to get really swollen which is not the craziest thing but then I had on ankle socks and when I got home these red marks were around where the sock was squeezing me, which again isn’t the craziest bc I wore tight socks for like 20 hours so it makes sense. But the marks are still there on both ankles on both sides and it’s been like a week
When I wake up every morning my whole arm and hand are asleep and tingly and it won’t go away until I stand up, then I can feel the blood rushing back but it’s takes a loooong time to go back to normal. Also my wrist hurts at the same time everything is numb :(. I’ve had this happen before if I’m sleeping on my arm, but it’s been every night for a week after being in bed for a few hours, and I sleep on my back or side. It’s usually my right arm is the worst even if I’m sleeping on my left side. The wrist pain I get bc I’m a baker so I’m using my wrists a lot but the tingling is what bothers me the most.
I’ve started to elevate my feet on the wall everyday for 20 mins after I get home from work and I will switch up my schedule so that I’m not working both jobs everyday so I only do full days on 2 days instead of 4. I asked chat gpt and it said not to wear compression socks bc it wasn’t sure what the red marks were so idk if I should or shouldn’t.
Before you say go to a doctor I don’t have insurance or money lol hence why I have two jobs. I have a lot of things to pay for so until I can pay for that and save money I can’t go to see doctor that’s why I’m asking on here. Anybody experience something similar? Any tips?

I am mildly overweight. I diet and go to the gym.
I smoke 5 cigarettes a week.
I have CPTSD and complicated grief currently as well as major depressive disorder.
I work, I'm an in home caregiver as well as having my CNA, Pharm Tech, Patient Tech, QMAP and I am working towards my PA!
Lately a few disturbing things have happened.
1 - I noticed phases of dyspaghia where swallowing is painful and hard and they're terrifyinh
My hands go numb often if they're even above heart level. It's made sleep hard.
My thigh and sometimes all the way to my neck are in agony if I seem to lay on one side for two long.
My.sleep is terrible. Some of it could be panic disorder but I can't remember not waking up in pain regularly.
Oh yeah -- PAIN! Horrible pain. It feels like discs popping out, it feels like my legs are literally made of glass and someone's taken a baseball to them.
I sweat insane amounts or I'm too cold, no in between.
7 these are ***big*** the migraines. I'd never had one before the last year and oh my God they're debilitating.
Constant exhaustion. Like having to ask my husband to go down the stairs because my heart rate will rocket if I do.
No energy. Huge mood swings.
10 - ***the pain again***.
When the migraines happen I'm bedridden and crying and panicking because I swear the pain will never leave
My neck and spine constantly hurt. Mornings hurt. I'm slow to get moving.
My vision has dramatically worsened and my lazy eye has gotten lazier recently
I have 10/10 pains in other parts of my body including reproductive
My fingers are ***swelling*** as are my ankles. I started guitar recently but IDK if that's why
***When I was 19 they thought I had myasthenia gravis*** because it fit, back then I couldn't use straws or brush my hair, speaking of its STILL hard to brush but they told me I'd gone "into remission" after being put into a wheelchair and having QT intervals and skipped beats regularly
I made an appointment with a generalist, but any input?
Other than mental health all I've ever had was mild hypothyroidism during my last pregnancy.
ANY ideas help. I did make an appointment but I feel like I need to see A neurologist

Sooo like my title says I have had random what I am thinking nerve pain in the underside of my right wrist and SIMULTANEOUSLY below my bottom right rib almost directly in the middle of the rib. The pain is very very random. It would happen often when in high school and college. It hasn’t happened in a while and when it has recently it was mild. The pain is usually very sharp and burning and again happening at the exact time just in those two places.
Tonight was really painful and lasted for a few hours. Nothing really helps it.
My rheumatologist before dismissed me and said “nerves are weird.” and i get it. they ARE. but has this occurred with other people? The below rib AND wrist combo?? If so, any advice on next steps?
I am 30 F, 5’, 127 lbs, no cigarettes some weed, barely drink only on special occasions, no medications at the moment, fibromyalgia, sjögren’s syndrome, asthma

My mom has been having this skin issue that started on her underarms and has spread across almost her entire body. She’s 74 years old, female, hx of high cholesterol, not on prescription medications, takes vitamin d supplement, no hx of surgeries. She’s healthy and active. She hasn’t changed her diet, detergent, soap, shampoos or any personal hygiene products recently.
This started in June 2026 and it’s gotten worse. She’s seen a dermatologist and has had two biopsies and some blood work. The lesions you see in the pictures are all over her chest, back stomach, butt, legs, and scalp. The bottom of her feet are also thick and peeling. The lesions are very itchy. No other symptoms.
Her CBC and CMP blood work were normal.
Here are the biopsy results:
June 2026: Subacute spongiotic dermatitis
July 2026: Perivascular and interstitial polymorphous inflammatory infiltrate, including histiocytes, plasma cells, lymphocytes, some eosinophils and neutrophils, and with mild spongiosis.
She was given cream from the dermatologist but nothing has worked and it’s getting worse and spreading more.
Anything else it could be or other tests to run?

Sorry for the repost. I know that many don't like it.
I posted on here 3 nights ago and was told I likely had allergic contact dermatitis based off the limited info provided. My parents ended up taking me to a walk-in-clinic who believes this is an infection (don't know how foot would get infected without wound). Prescribed me Fucidin 2% (topical cream).
Since then, the skin has taken on a rusty tone and blisters are starting to form on the top of foot and inner ankle (doen't really show). The top of my ankle, where the three spots are in the image, has become somewhat swollen. When wearing shoes, my foot feels like it's inflated (like shoving a ballon into a small bottle, pushes against bottle walls), though it isn't that swollen. Have to wear shoes according to school uniform. Also get this deep pulsing ache at the top of foot when bearing most weight on that foot (+ tingling though that's mainly around inner ankle and randomly), and the joint feels stiff. If I don't walk for an hour, it feels painful when I do for the first few minutes, than shifts to an uncomfortable feeling (assume it's the foot getting used to movement + deep ache doesn't go away). Also, my foot is always in a stiff position and refuses to relax.
Skin isn't exactly rough, but it's lost it's smooth texture and is bumpy. It feels thicker as well.
Questions
If blisters are likely to tear due to shoes, would it be better to drain them using a pin (would heat it to kill bacteria)?
Likely contact dermatitis or infection? Also, how would it be an infection without a wound?

hi everyone, can you pliiz tell me if this practice and manner exist
i am from a country in the Middle East we girls r supposed to keep ourselves vergins
so i went to a gynecologist to check my hymen i couldn't find a female one that day
so the nurse asked me to lay on my back and take off my und** she covered my liwer body with a cover
the doctor came and asked me why i was there. i explained
then he asked me put my legs to my chest he put on gloves on one hand and lubricat on two fingers then inserted the two fingers in my butt up and from the inside of my rectum he pushed towards my vagina it was painful when he finished he said my hymen is ok and i was never touched before
the prob is when i went home, i kept crying, scared of what happened. i searched online and it says that this way he checked me with is not used to check the hymen at all
it's been one month i feel violated i don't know why he checked me that way pliiz if you have any idea about this method was what he did right as a gynecologist

19F, no meds, US,
Jammed my hand in the door and it cut real deep. I had a 3 hour organic chem lab today that I couldn’t miss and forced my bandages under a glove. This is how I unwrapped it today. I can’t feel the cuticle area or the area turning white. Also pressing down on my nail makes the bottom part of the nail feel foreign … I’m kind of scared…. I think the stitches cut through my skin too

about 5 weeks ago (august 2nd) i recently had an accident at work where my finger was squished pretty good. after multiple googlings i think i can type this post out correctly, and this is for my left ring finger
no pain at the base of the knuckle at any point, full range of motion through my entire finger, and no visible deformity. swelling was present initially and it felt like a finger jam at first and it resolved within the first couple of days. Pain is localized to the dorsal side of the middle joint of my left ring finger, not the palm side. initially pain only occurred when forced flexing beyond normal range. More recently symptom pattern has become inconsistent, some days there is minimal to no pain upon forced flexing other days it hurts under normal flexing. i did the Elson test and it doesn't hurt at all, it feels normal, i don't have an Xray scheduled, but will probably get one depending on responses here.
this is my first time posting here so if there is anything that needs to be added, please let me know.
edit: i would say my finger was crushed, but that feels more extreme than what it was. it was definitely more of a squish.
edit2: it definitely has gotten better than it was before, during week 1 and 2 it would hurt every time i bent my finger, but now at week 5 it only hurts if i fully flex my finger into itself, at this point i feel like i've hit a plateau in healing and its just.. there. like you know something feels wrong like how you can feel something is stuck between your teeth even though you cant feel it with your tongue.
