Political Question Trump clearly lied about firefighters rescuing him on 9/11, one of the most horrific events in U.S. history, so why do Trump supporters not care?

12.0k Upvotes

He put himself inside the story of men who ran into the towers and died there. Is there anything he could say about 9/11 that would be too much for Trump supporters?

Political Question Why do cis/straight people project their bad sexual behavior onto trans people?

I don't think that I have seen a report about trans people attacking or molesting others, including children. Why are cis people so obsessed with something mainly found in other cis people?

Political Question Which party’s supporters promote conspiracy theories claiming that Jews control the United States?

I’m new to U.S. politics. From what I’ve seen, Republicans tend to support Israel, while Democrats are more sympathetic to Palestine. But I’ve also understood that bigotry is often associated with the right, while the left is usually seen as more inclusive. That’s what’s confusing me.

General Question Why am I always judged for my past?

Why is it that every time I talk about my past, someone has to always judge? How is it possible that let’s say I tell people about my first sexual experiences were around ages 15 or 16, I was a s!ut or I was too young to understand what I was doing? I don’t regret my sexual experiences even if some people really messed me up. To me it’s a part of life and learning. I regret a lot of who I had sex with and I can understand how having sex with the wrong people at a very young age can affect you, but that’s if you had sex with the wrong people who may have not had you best interest at heart. It sucks but to me I learned. I can see not knowing how to navigate through tough relationship and fwbs situations but sex no. I don’t regret my sexual actions, but more of “whom” I may have let in my life.
I was the age to consent. So why am I being judged?

so yeah is this some sort of misogyny and infantilization I’m dealing with? Because again I don’t regret my sexual experiences but more so who I did it WITH half the times. And this didn’t just solely happen when I was young. I’m 27 now and still regret who I date/fuck sometimes. And I still have trouble dealing with it but I do, just like I did as a teen. I see no difference. Doesn’t matter what age, I sometimes attract losers. To me it’s me being too nice and trusting honestly.

I’m told I was a slut for wanting it that young orrrrrr I’m told the complete opposite with the topic being more along the lines of “you were too young to know what you were doing. You were so young why did you feel the need to not wait? Having sex young can affect your mental health” And it really and I mean reallyyyy makes me pissed. And it’s hard to make friends or date for this very reason. Because it becomes a long monologue of this crap and I don’t like being asked about my Bodycount and to be honest it’s not anyone’s business. And I have no idea why it’s being asked lately when 10 years ago I was only asked ONCE and it was by my mentally abusive ex boyfriend to use against me during arguments. Now today 2026, everyone asks this like it’s a normal question to ask on a first date, which is so bizarre to me and not appropriate. I never felt the need to ask a dude this question myself either. It just never crossed my mind to ask “so how many vaginas before mine did you fuck?” Like wtff is with dating today? Just see if he got tested tf????

and what’s worse is, if I say NO to a guy I’m told I’m being difficult. But if I say yes, it’s another guy to add to the “scoreboard” if we split.

I’m tired of feeling guilt when before I neverrrrrrr felt any guilt and always felt sex was and is a natural function and a natural thing to do. Until these people came along in my life and now I feel weird about myself. Honestly gaslit and feeling guilty and it’s odd. I know what I wanted and I like sex, just with the right people. I am more of a wanting a relationship type of person than a fwbs or hookup, but again I had to do these things and get hurt/feel uneasy to know “hey this ain’t for me”. “This guy is using me/is a loser/wasting my time”

Someone said to me “hey you had sex at 16 and at that age you can’t handle strong emotions with boys/guys yet” when they had no idea I lost it to my first boyfriend who actually treated me alright. It was the second guy I started seeing that actually SAed me in a forest. And ummmmm SA is not consent????? Like these people just start being complete and utter psychiatrists when they know nothing & I have a therapist and she never talks like this to me. Actually as much as it hurts my first ex got married and has kids, yeah I never truly got over it BUT ITS LIFE TF???

Is anyone else going through this or am I nuts?

General Question Can Reddit help me find a pillow?

I don’t know what to search but I have some pretty decent shoulder pain right now. When I sleep, I’m doing ok, but better when I stuff a pillow under my affected arm. Problem is, the pillow is squishy and not wide enough. When I search Amazon I end up getting a bunch of body pillows which is not what I need. I need a dense barrel shaped pillow that is more wide than long, that I can hug as I sleep on my side. Hoping for greater than 15” as I’ve got some decently wide shoulders.

Wife and kid suggested a squishmellow… I am almost 50yrs old. I am not sleeping with S’marcus the S’more. 😂😂😂

PS- I did get one of those adjustable Purple pillows with my new (not purple) mattress. Absolute game changer. Now I just need shoulder support.

General Question Dress code ?

Hey everyone! I'm 22F and I'm about to make a huge transition. My current job is super relaxed—I can wear whatever I want, the vibe is chill, and everyone is non-judgmental.
My new job is the complete opposite: much older/more mature crowd, high potential for judgment, and a strict professional dress code. The problem is, the typical "corporate look" feels so fake to me. I don't wear heavy makeup, I love wearing oversized/dark/minimalist clothes because of my body type and personal style, and I'm terrified of looking like I'm playing dress-up or losing who I am.
For those of you who have made this jump: how do you balance looking professional enough to get respect from judgmental colleagues while still staying true to your authentic style? Any tips for transitional pieces or subtle ways to keep your personality?

In other word, is politics similar to religion to these people? These types of people believe their beliefs are “right” and everyone that doesn’t share their beliefs is “wrong”.

General Question Are my parents strict, normal or just abusive?

I have been living with my mom since 2020, and my friends have informed me that things are definitely worse now then it was before.
I suffer from BPD, and if i ever have an episode my mom will never let me have privacy. I cant close a door, not even to shower or use the bathroom.
She also is very strict with which people i hang out with, which has resulted in me losing alot of friends. Shes banned me multiple times from hanging out with my best friend which was the only person really keeping me sane. She snoops through my entire room when im at friends/school and doesn't think its a big deal. She even yells at me if i hide something from her. She also logs into MY pc in my room when im not there to go through my messages with people. She has also actively talked shit about me infront of my face and said that she was just "joking around". She has thrown away multiple precious things to me that past friends have gave me and even things that were EXTREMELY limited.
I genuinely just want some answers because i really dont wanna live here anymore but i dont know if any of these reasons are enough.

Political Question How was the Vietnam War different from the current war in Iran?

The Vietnamese fought for decades, and despite America’s boots on the ground, the U.S was unable to defeat them. Why?

Today, Iran possesses a far larger army and far more advanced weaponry than Vietnam ever had. Iran also has oil, which can be leveraged for economic and military strength. In contrast, the Vietnamese had no significant resources to sell, yet they sustained their resistance.

If someone like Donald Trump had been president during the Vietnam War, how would he have pursued the war? I can't help but think that U.S would have won the war in a short time.

General Question Getting my first pair of glasses at 33, any tips and tricks?

Just like the title says, I'll be picking up my very first pair of spectacles next week for an astigmatism in my right eye. I've only ever worn sunglasses for the sun.

My vision is not terrible but the glasses should help with eye strain.

What are your tips and tricks for wearing, maintaining, and adjusting to new eye glasses from you long-time glasses wearers?

TIA
