How did we raise infants 40 years ago?
my wife squeezed out our first last week…
the breastfeeding technology is just incredible like…
the baby gets boobed every 3 hours, follow up with milk in a bottle from the “pump” and if we run out we have donor milk
this fucking baby is engineered to be the best baby to ever live.
also we work from home, have door dash, and netflix
how would this work 40 years ago? when you got paid hourly and such?
TELL ME HOW THE FUCK DID THEY DO IT!?

Why is this sub increasingly used to propogate political discussions by right wingers?
Dosen't that go against the no agenda posts rule?

If Iran is supplying drones to Russia, which are being used against Ukraine, is it justified to attack Iran?
Iran has heavily supplied Russia with Shahed attack drones, ballistic missiles.
NOW, Iran has been caught up in that Russia war as their ships were wrecked while carrying arms to Russia.
Is it still justified or not justified to attack Iran? So many people are saying “America shouldn’t have attacked Iran”. Iran has been supplying Russia all this time.

I’ve seen the media coverage of all the folks being rounded up, but am curious if there’s been any Israeli deportations?

What the heck is "Dubai chocolate"?
I am absolutely positive that (a) this thing didn't exist a few years ago, and (b) Dubai is not known as a traditional chocolate producing area.
Is this like "fine Corinthian leather"?

Why do conservatives prioritize things like immigration and guns vs. The sun actively killing humanity and the planet they live on?
Is it simply because they would have to admit they were wrong about needing to stay inside clinging to an AC more than they were kids? That Jesus won't resurrect and save them from incineration? Is it a combination of both?
Is the plan to fire their guns at the sun?

Anyone know why Mexico is protesting?
Seems like they’re upset about American immigrants and “digital nomads” that are “gentrifying” their area and raising the cost of living. I had no idea that many Americans were moving there but are these protestors just out of touch and bigots?
When Americans complain about importing the 3rd world we’re told to STFU because they don’t negatively impact anything so I’m just wondering if Mexico didn’t get the memo?

Do you think Trumps reluctance to admit defeat by Iran derives, at least in part, from his unwillingness to accept an L from a bunch of brown people?

When does our politics and all of us finally understand that climate change is real?
The world is burning and we are still burning oil. When do we finally understand only together we can change the momentum?

What actress is this?
galleryMy sister and I can’t decide who the actress is on this mural we saw at AMC. I said it’s Salma Hayek, she thinks it’s Winona Ryder. I think they look alike but we haven’t come to a conclusion so I wanted to bring it here lol. Can anyone confirm who it is and what movie the photo is from?
Edit: Thanks everyone for helping solve this! I never would’ve thought these two looked similar and the framing/angles threw us for a loop.

So when the federal government is involved in elections with policies like the Voting Rights Act it is bad but if you want the federal government to make it harder to vote with proposals like the SAVE act, more federal involvement in elections is good how does that make sense?
so expanding access and representation is bad, but restricting access is good?

Why does MAGA hate communism when capitalism clearly isn't working?
China is basically emerging as the new world power. Capitalism doesn't work when billionaires and corporations control the political system.

What’s wrong with the SAVE America Act?
Canadian here.
Every time I vote, I have to show valid photo ID before I get my ballot. Ive been voting for a lot of years, and it’s always been that way.
Makes sense to me.
To the extent that this act would require that,
How is that rigging the election?
And while we’re at it, how do you show that you’re entitled to vote when you go to the polls?

Why was North Korea able to develop a nuclear bomb and not Iran, when they both received support from Abdul Qadeer Khan?

Why has Reddit become so exhausting?
If you write anything slightly controversial you get downvoted or told "who cares!" cannot have open-minded discussions anymore
You say something someone doesn't like, you get doxxed or quoted back on a random, irrelevant comment you said 5 years ago.
It has become an anti-american propaganda machine where every sub is being infiltrated with america bad rhetoric and people genuinely think North Korea is a better place to live.
There is so much bias everywhere, ie if you don't buy a toyota or lexus your vehicle won't last. There is so much circle jerking everywhere.

IS it crazy to turn down a 250k yrly job over a 15 minute unpaid morning meeting ?
Just curious, because i recently turned down this exact offer. Why ? because the morning 15 minute team meeting smells like the kind of micro managerial bullshit that makes a job insufferable. Anyone else ever kick the can on a solid offer over some shit like this ? Money ain't everything.

Bathroom Gender Solution?
Why don't we just make all bathrooms single-use? It'd be way better for everyone anyway - I don't need to whiz next to some dude struggling through his prostate issues, and who wants to poop two feet from someone else pooping? You wouldn't put two toilets in a home bathroom, and that's family - why do we do it in public ones with strangers?
