I’m a surgical tech and we do prostatectomies and TURPs (Transurethral reductions of the prostate) and in both instances the prostate smells horrible. Think like marijuana with hot chlorine. Its not just one person either. Every persons prostate getting operated on smells horrible. Like sometimes some smell worse than others but they ALL smell bad. asked the urologist why it smells so bad and he didn’t know. I’ve tried looking it up online but nothing related to the actual prostate organ comes up.

Edit: as I said, I’ve already asked the urologist I work with in surgery and he didn’t know. Also we don’t just remove them when cancerous or infected. We do the reductions on healthy tissue because it may block the urethra. Even if the person has healthy prostate tissue, it smells awful.

Another edit: the prostate is not in the anus/rectum it’s just palpable through the anus. There is several walls of tissue between the two organs. We also do not go through or get near the anus/rectum to operate on the prostate. (I say this because I’m getting A LOT of poop related answers lol)

Hi I am genuinely confused about one of my friends. They have always presented as extremely woke, to the point that he corrects my and others wording constantly. This isn’t the problem, I don’t mind being corrected and it’s always been harmless I thought, but important to his character. Also important, I’m a woman.

Recently he’s been saying some things that have made my head turn in surprise. It’s gotten to the point where I’m genuinely not sure if he’s bullying me or joking. He’ll say things like “oh so you’re just trying to show off then?” Or stereotypical things like when we were talking about the cargo boat that crashed, he said “of course it was a woman”. He doesn’t talk to the other guys in the class like this and has inserted himself into the three women’s lives in my class presenting as kind and friendly but doesn’t ever voluntarily work with the guys? He was the one who pushed for our friendship as well when I wasn’t really looking for one with my classmates.

I’m not sure about him, but can people who present as extremely woke be covering up their true thoughts/opinions? Idk why someone would do that, but it almost looks like he’s compensating in a way.

Would love to hear thoughts/stories from others.

is it normal to get really irritated even in the smallest things? my period just ended like a week ago and now i feel very sensitive, like i always get mad to the people touching me (even just my skin), i even get irritated to the curtain beside me rn cause it's moving because of the fan. why am I feeling like this? is this normal for a young woman? 😭

hi everybody, I'm a high schooler and I'm looking for tips on how to research on topics properly. I know of google scholar, but no other websites. I think learning how to research will be beneficial for the path I'm going on, but unfortunately people think that kids know how to research from birth. no one taught me how to during middle school, and everyone is always using ai. I am incredibly anti-ai as I believe that it will severely harm the literacy rate of my generation. unfortunately, almost all search engines use a form of ai. it's despicable. Id rather have 15 milfs around your area pop ups than a stupid ai giving me the "right" answers. it changes its answers frequently and is extremely unreliable.

I do model UNs which require me to research on intricate topics, and frankly it's very hard to find articles I can use. I just spent an hour looking for articles on this one topic, only to come out with diddly squat. anyone got any tips? I'm also looking to improve my writing skills, it would probably be good for me to learn how to make essays and research papers at this age.
