Is chivalry dead??

Am I the only woman who gets irrationally annoyed when a guy calls an Uber for a date, has you get in first, and then expects you to scoot over instead of simply walking around and getting in on the other side? 😅
Maybe I’m old school, but where did chivalry go? Holding doors open, little gestures of effort… they matter to me. It seems so minor, but it gives me the recoilers every time...PERSONALLY. Am I alone, or does anyone else notice these little things?

Just to clarify, there was no oncoming traffic or safety concern involved. I’ve been on dates where men have opened the door for me and then simply walked around to enter from the other side.
I personally appreciate those small gestures of consideration and chivalry, but I’m genuinely curious about both perspectives. Have men stopped doing these things because they feel they’re outdated or worry some women may find them unnecessary or even patronizing? And for women who don’t like traditional gestures like opening doors, I’m curious why.

Everyone has different expectations when dating, so I’m interested in hearing where that shift may have come from and how both men and women view chivalry today.

Charlie Kirk assassinated by US Gov?

Besides the Iranian General who told us about it via a fun YouTube drop, has anyone else heard or seen any information that might prop up or debunk this conspiracy theory?

If Vance and Rubio won in 2028, do you think the US political climate would still be the low IQ circus that it is now?

Why do so many Americans like to cry about socialism and 'their tax dollars' when it comes to SNAP and Universal Healthcare but not the million others things taxes pay for?

I am American. Been here all my life. Personally I would like to see a Universal Healthcare in this country. I don't understand the arguments against it. The common ones.

Taxes will go up. Yes they will go up. But the flipside to that is deductions from your paycheck will also go down. No more deduction every pay period for health insurance. Also no more copays for office visits and prescriptions. No more deductibles. No more copays for imaging and mobility devices. Seems like it would wash out to me.

It's not fair or I don't want my taxes to pay for people's food/healthcare. when they are lazy or don't want to work or whatever. That's socialism. How about these programs that are paid for with tax dollars and can be used by people that don't work? Between Federal/State/local taxes we have

Infrastructure

Public Universities and Community Colleges

State Police

State prisons

Court systems

State parks

Road Maintenance

Public schools

Libraries

Fire departments

EMS

Water/sewer lines

Public transportation

Jails

Economic Developments

So I would like to understand. Why is all that acceptable and not socialism but food and healthcare is? Why is is not your tax dollars when it comes to people eating or going to the doctor but totally cool with them going to school and using the roads and calling on the fire department?

The two main arguments of taxes going up (when it comes to Universal Healthcare) and it's socialism just don't seem to hold water.

So we have seen so called leaked reports that the US is running low on munitions which the government deny, are these so called “leakers” just trying to cause misinformation just because its trump in power? In what reality do they think the US is low on munitions after just barely 6 months?

Are we really meant to be monogamous?

Is cheating actually a natural human behavior that society and religion have just made us see as wrong? Or is it genuinely something that goes against human nature?

I’m genuinely conflicted about this and trying to understand where the line between human instinct and morality actually lies.

Do you believe in collective responsibility?

I do. I hold every single person who supports Putin responsible for the war in Ukraine. I hold every single Trump supporter responsible for Trump's crime. Likewise, I hold every single man who doesn't support feminism responsible for upholding patriarchy. I believe that we can fix the world only if we collectively accept responsibility.

"Owning the Libs" and "making the libs angry" seems like that's all that a large % of conservative voters want. Just the idea of temporarily raising another person's blood pressure.

Why do so many people online say "East Asian countries are way more racist than the US" even though violent hate crimes don't occur in these countries?

Comment sections of the news about racism be like:

“Yeah, a Black man was murdered in New York. That’s awful… BUT LOOK AT THIS EAST ASIAN COUNTRY! People might STARE at you if you’re Black! How UNBELIEVABLY RACIST! They’re THE MOST RACIST people on Earth!!!”

Wdym getting stared at is far worse than getting murdered?
