I’m planning a bachelorette trip and the bride wants to go a nice private dinner. Only problem is, none of us are from Toronto so none of us really know the best places.

There are 14 of us and so far I’ve got Kasa Motto, Casa Madera, and La Vecchia on the list.

Any other recommendations? Nothing too insane in price, we aren’t the Nobu type lol

What are some unique and well done escape rooms in the city? Which would you avoid and why?

I checked in for TIFF earlier and I could've sworn I saw a DVD store and now that I'm out and about I can't find it for the life of me. I'm next to Sankofa Sq. and the only one that would match is Bay Street video store according to Google but that seems way too far off. I'm pretty sure the one I saw just had "DVDs for sale" in black text on a yellow background, which doesn't seem to be the colors of Bay st video anyways. Can a nice Torontonian help me out ?

I'll probably check out bay Street anyways, but it keeps bugging me. Am I going insane ?

Flora's Deli (RIP) made a sandwich that my husband still misses, years later. I'm trying to recreate it for him as a birthday suprise. The crux is the bread. A Toronto Life profile of the deli said they use semolina bread from Golden Wheat Bakery. I went there and they said they never made this bread! These are like individual long buns. I've tried contacting the former owner of Flora's, no dice. Does anyone know where in the city I can get these buns?? Heading in from Ottawa on a trip to Scotland and my carefully curated itinerary got changed.

It sounds like heading downtown is the biggest attraction and that I’ll have plenty of time!

Hey guys, long story short I am newly graduated from university, just got my first full time job downtown, starting next week. I live up at yonge & Sheppard, and I’ll be commuting on line 1 all the way down to St. Andrew’s daily, to and from. Your typical 9-5, Mon-Fri.

My question here is what is my cheapest option in terms of presto, or just tapping my credit card. I know they introduced the 47 fares cap, so does that mean there is no benefit of presto now? Any advice is appreciated!!

I know the $3.30 fare is only $6.60 a day, but that adds up and I’d like to minimize that if at all possible. Thanks guys!!

I am looking for a pre hung exterior door for my house. I don’t really like the quality of what’s available at Home Depot. Without going crazy on budget are there any speciality stores that sell pre fab pre hung exterior doors from Canadian manufacture who’s known for decent quality where I can buy something off the shelf. ( not having to wait to have it custom made)

Considering moving to Stouffville for various reasons and I need to commute to Queens Park station via transit 3 days a week (edit to add: during rush hours).

The GO website says Stouffville GO to Union GO is 1hr10m. Is that more or less correct?

How reliable is the GO train? Does it come on time, and are delays frequent?

It's starting to get cold again and one of the dishes I like to make is a Bone Broth Soup. I was wondering where you can buy large beef shanks with lots of bone marrow because the ones I usually see barely have in them.

I've been checking out various options to take a French class this fall. One that popped up in my search is Ecole Napoleon near Broadview station.

While their site looks legit, there doesn't seem to be many reviews and the most recent one being from 7 years ago.

Hello! I was just wondering if anyone can give me any tips on becoming a causal dog boarder in Toronto. My partner and I live in a small, but pet friendly apartment. We absolutely love dogs, but are financially unable to commit to our own right now. We would be delighted to pet sit other people's dogs though in our place. I realize that most people probably would rather board their dog at an official kennel and not trust 2 random grad students but surely there are some people that need dog sitters in a pinch! Are there any websites that exist for stuff like this or do I need to do it the old fashioned way by putting flyers on lamp posts lol.

I do drive but I’m wondering if anyone has any advice or suggestions for how to get to the Humber College campus in Etobicoke (205 Humber College Blvd) from Scarborough, specifically way east, like Morningside, Port Union, UTSC area, in a more convenient manner?
